  7. Thanks Ivan I am thinking about converting two St Croix Premier Glass rods with Twili's.
  8. I am hoping to get some feedback on using wire line for musky trolling. I am thinking about converting two of my shimano tekota rigs from braid to wire. The reason is I also fish lake erie for walleye and lake trout using dipsy divers. I am hoping I can use the two wire set ups for musky trolling down rods. Probably won't run more that 30 feet of line for musky on the wire set ups. anyone have any experience with wire for musky trolling?
  9. I sent you a private message on lot #3
  10. two 12 inch Cisco tracks $50 for the pair SOLD two 12" Gimbal mounts $30 for the pair SOLD Base mount for big jon planer board mast $20 SOLD
  11. Nice fish Ronix. Is that a lunge lumber hanging on that rod? Is that what you guys were using?
  12. He said he uses it in conjuction with the kicker. The kicker provides the propulsion and the terrova provides the steering. Lots of people use the two in tandem. Works great on lake erie for walleye. I just never tried it for musky. Deploying the terrova and setting it up on auto pilot after you hook a fish would be an absolute pain in the #$@#. I don't think thats what he meant.
  13. iiwhistlerii I use the terrova all the time to steer troll when going under 2 mph for walleye and lake trout. I never tried it going 4 + mph for musky. I assumed it was too fast . Are you using the 36 volt? what speed setting is it normally running?
  14. Thanks Ivan I appreciate your reply. Thats a great fish your dad caught and a nice way to end the trip. I will take your advice on slowing the boat down. In the past I've tried to cut the throttle to neutral and the boat spins and screws up the whole spread.
  15. Hi I am going to ask this question at great peril. I am not trying, nor am I interested in starting a huge debate about musky handling procedures. I have all of the right equipment (beckman net, gloves, knippers, plyers, bogo grips etc etc.). I don't need the big lesson on "having the right equipment". I am, however interested to hear how those of you who fish St Claire handle and release musky. It is not out of the question to have double digit days. I know most boats that are trolling are running six lines, probably big boards and maybe even slider rigs. It makes it really hard to stop the boat to net land the fish at boatside. Are you guys netting fish? Are you not netting fish and unhooking without bringing on board? Are you stopping the boat? Are you netting fish and bringing them on board to unhook (most of the charter guys do this)? I have a 50 inch livewell. I have put muskies in there to recouporate and then release. They are really spunky when you pull them out to release. I would like to hear what others are doing.
  16. Heard the same thing about the dragon. I think those cunucks target fisherman there.
  17. looks like hes wearing his daughters ugg boots
  18. No way
  19. stick with the walleye and salmon. started a couple of years ago and thousands of dollars later. hours of bordom interupted by the occasional musky.
  20. Let me know what you have. They need to have the bases that slide into track
  21. Yes, That was me. I have a black Ranger 621. I agree on the confidence baits for sure. I was wondering about your kicker motor. I have a 9.9 prokicker and it almost runs at full throttle to push my boat at 4.5 to 5 in a little wind. Was thinking about upgrading to a bigger kicker because I find myself trolling with the big engine. What HP is your kicker? Anyone else trolling for musky in a 621? What size kicker are you using? I don't thing the 9.9 is enough for high speed musky fishing out of a 621
  22. Adam I saw you running on plane early in the day on Sunday. You got a very nice fish congratulations. We got five on Sunday and lost one other half way to the boat. Nothing huge. Biggest was 41. All fish were nice, fat and healthy. Any chance you could share a photo of that " Magic Wiley"? All our fish on Sunday and the prior week came on shad style baits. Keep running the fat bodies but don't seem to catch as many fish but I know they work for others.
