    Team King Slammin is registered for the Amateur division. I can't wait. 3 straight days of competition fishing. Probably another 2 days of of pre fishing. Does it get any better? Lol

    I use Wunderground. No source is ever 100% spot on but I feel pretty confident most times.

    Water was too murky to sight fish so we trolled. 2 Inline boards and two flat lines. Very frustrating night

    Thanks man! I love fishing at night. Only boated three last night but had about 15 bites. Couldn't keep them hooked. Hoping to make it out again Wednesday night. Good luck up at SLR.

    If your gunnels are wide enough, put a long section of track on each side. Like stated above, berts makes a universal swivel mount that will slide into the track, and add rod holders as you see fit. Be sure to use a strong backing (I used 3/4" pvc board with fender washers). Do not put a board across the back. You will hate it. I've been down that road. Here's a pic of my setup

    I have a 2001 superfisherman 196. Here's my track setup. Berts track, 36" for rod holders and 12" for riggers. I have 3/4" Azek PVC board bolted with fender washers as backing. Cannon 4" swivel pedestal mounts and berts ratcheting rod holders. I can have the holders and riggers off or on in less than 3 minutes.

    It's tough out there right now. A bunch of the names at the bottom of the leaderboard, are names normally near the top. Good news that a few kings are showing up though. Some consistent west winds will clear the way for some great spring fishing. As far as Erie goes, it's still tough out there as well. Had to sight fish them Friday night for the opener and I was the only one on the boat to have any success. Fish seemed to be more concentrated on the spawn still and besides one spot of 51 degree surface water, the temps were still a bit low. I'll be back out on Monday night though.

    Yes it is from last night. It was fun sight fishing. I've never fished the opener before but couldn't resist with my new boat. Another week or two the bite should pick up but it was tough last night. Took some finesse

    My favorite fishing too. Peaceful out there at night and I don't miss anything going on at home. First time I tried the sight fishing and it was a blast.

    Fished Erie from midnight to 3:00 am. Tough out there last night. Only got one trolling. Ended up locating them with the headlamps and casting to them. Had a lot of follows but not that aggressive shallow water bite yet. Had to use a slow sinking shadow rap and twitch it in front of them to get bit. It was cool sight fishing though. Lost a few on short strikes. My father in law and sister in law aren't cut out for that kind of fishing and made us leave at 3:00.

    Tx44 are the big ones. Those will pull mag divers and 300' coppers. Walleye boards and tx22's are the next size down. Tx44's suck for anything light

    The church walleye boards will pull 10 colors with a stickbait no problem

    You will do fine. Fish the marks on your graph, and you shouldn't have to go much deeper than 150' at that time. Usually it's top 60 FOW and a spoon bite but flashers will definitely need to be in your spread to call them in and catch a few if you find the hot pattern. Looks like you found a partner in crime and that helps a ton too. Good luck

    Divers with wire or braid are a must. Riggers if you have them. I run spoons with free sliders off riggers and spin doctors with flies on divers. Lead core or copper off inline boards gets baits off to the sides of the boat better. This is where your stickbaits will shine on steelhead coming back to the main lake after the spawn, as well as kings and cohos riding in the warmer water up high. I'll be spending a lot of time on Erie until then and the pro am is the weekend after you come up so reports will be limited.

    Depends what your running. I fish walleye too so the inlines are great for me. I can run 10 colors easily on a church walleye board and they are much cheaper. I don't let them slide though. Reel them up and take them off then fight fish

    Lakers in 75-100 and some steelies showing up on the surface. Kings are few and far between. Hopefully by the time you come in, the Kings will too but with all the NE wind lately, I don't know
