We did well early on. Went 8 for 10 all salmon. Biggest was about 20#. King Slammin special spoon and Mt Dew echip/ hammer fly did most of the damage. 400' plus. Had my buddy's son aboard and he did most of the catching. His dad passed away a few yrs ago and Fathers Day is always tough. We lost our water after 8:30 and only got one more until 11:30 when we pulled rods. -

I have been using Maxima Chameleon on my diver leaders as well as all rigger rods. I think the little stretch that mono has helps absorb some of the shock when a fish hits a wire setup. Just my opinion though.

Each species has a temp range they are most active in. They will feed outside of these ranges however. I usually fish temp breaks/ scum lines this time of year. As the surface warms, it becomes a depth approach and that's when probes become more important. I like to fish at least one line in the ice water at all times, and alot of times that's the one that hooks a screamer. -

That was the program last weekend Gill-T. 300-400 FOW. Top 40'. 37 degrees down 37' in 350' We found a nice pocket of water and picked up a 20# king and some teenagers but I'm sure its all gone now. An equal amount of Lakers out there in the top water as well. It was a great day to have the family out there. We lost a few fish in our spread since they were hitting so close to the boat. Ended up running only 2 divers on 3's and 2 riggers with one cheated. I could see my sliders under the surface at the back of the boat. Most fish were caught on the 30' rigger one color SWR or its free slider (+ or - 15' down) on the King Slammin custom spoon. Going to be blowing out of the West pretty good tomorrow so warmer water might work its way back in. I'll be out Sunday with my Grandad, Father in law, and my son. -

That sucker was in about 80 FOW two yrs ago. I lost two 15# Atomik torpedoes on it. -

We fished from 100-175 FOW with baits from 20- 95' down. Worked from the red barn to just past the microwave tower. Got out a bit late, 7:30 and fished until 11:30. It was definitely a slider bite too. It was just me and my 14 yr old son, and we were kept pretty busy. I just love being out there. Nothing better than a flawless splashdown. She cruised at 28 mph and got on plane immediately. Had a little trouble slowing her down while trolling with the wind (Left my bags at home). I still have to buff her out and put a good waxing on her as well as install the new Airmar thru hull transducer

Boat ran great for our first trip out. Wish we could have kept them buttoned though. Finished the morning 5 for 15 with our biggest king 14 lbs. Broke off a screamer, lost one in the wire, and had many more that wouldn't stay hooked on the sliders. Everything took shots. White with purple dots spoon, Mag Black and raspberry on a blue dipsey, mtn dew echip w/ hammer fly, black and silver spoon, FLT green with black dots (Cant remember the name, sorry Bob).

I'll second the Bear Apprentice. I think Bear makes the best hunting bows. My son has been shooting his apprentice since he was 12, taking 4 deer in the last two yrs with it. I have adjusted the draw length and weight to grow with him. I shoot a Bear Strike and love it. Neither are the fastest in their class but both still pass an arrow through no problem. Good luck
