  3. They are some sweet looking lures!!! I bet they hammer the Browns in the clear water Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Come on up to Niagara County in March and April. All the lakers you can handle and then some. 50 fish before noon not uncommon. Just make sure you take your limit home with you and save some alewives for the salmon. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. FishUSA. Have my order in a day, sometimes two. Great prices and lots of seasonal sales. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Moonshine Martini and Bad Toad in the early mornings. Mainly meat or flasher fly bites last year otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. I just took my boy down to see if any trout or perch were hanging out in the harbor. The dam is too crazy on the weekends for me. There was only a few spots to cast in front of the launch that werent frozen. I will post a report when i get out. Not planning anything until March though, boat is still under tarps. 8. Olcott harbor was frozen yesterday and icebergs about 100 yds out all along the shoreline of the lake Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Yes it is. In my opinion the best all around fishing platform. Wide and deep hull to handle big waves, yet it drafts only 16" I believe. I moor it right in front of my campsite when we go to various Adirondack lakes. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Can't beat the displacement of a Starcraft hull. I have a Superfisherman 19.5' and have been caught in some less than desirable conditions. I am very much a fair weather fisherman these days, but I was able to run about 25 mph into 4' waves last spring coming back from the Niagara bar to Wilson. She cut right through the waves without slamming the hull down into the breakers too bad. Every Lund I have seen, their hull is too shallow and Pro V's have too much bow room for trolling. My buddy has a 2000 Pro V and I get wet from water coming over the bow instead of pushing off to the side. Nice boats but there are better options. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. My wife's mom shoots a 7mm/08. She's taken caribou with hers so deer should be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. you can adjust the tension on tattle flags for that amount of weight. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Tx22's or walleye boards will be fine for what you want to do. Tx44's will not run well in that application. Tattle flags are nice if running harnesses or clean lines on tx22 and walleye boards but don't waste the money on them for tx44 and long coppers or full cores. 14. What are you going to be pulling? Tx44 is only good for 200-300 coppers and 10 colors of core. Unless your using heavy drop weights, they don't pull very well with clean lines Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I'm usually filling the freezer with walleye and perch caught through the ice this time of the year but Mother Nature has been stingy with her cold weather lately. So to scratch the itch, I went on a buddy's boat this Tuesday and made a few drifts on the Niagara River. Ended up catching three lake trout and a nice steelhead, while losing a few others. The next day I dug out my old waders and joined a couple buddies for some creek action on a small Ontario tributary. Well the waders leaked, but I stuck it out for a few hours and caught a nice brown as well as losing a couple others This morning my son and I stayed local and had a good morning bite on jigs. He got the first fish early, a pretty brown. Caught a couple nice steelhead and lost a couple more. I grew up as a kid fishing the stream out of necessity, but haven't been into it as much once I got a boat and started ice fishing. It has been great to get back to what got me hooked on fishing as a kid. We truly are blessed with some great fishing in WNY. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. I set mine up with two 36" and two 12" tracks on each side. Moved the canopy rail in about 1.5" on each side to accommodate track. I rarely use the canopy anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. Best all around fishing platform IMO. I own a 2001 superfisherman 196. Deep hull, wide beam (101"), a lot of deck space compared to others. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. I hope winter comes back with a little vengeance. I've still got a lot of fish to catch through the ice before I even think about getting the boat out. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Honeoye lake. South end. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. I bet it's still good in gill water. Shore might be shot but it made ice with yesterday dropping into the low 20's and colder at night. I'd bring a plank at least
  21. Good old Lake Erie at its best.
  22. A lot of variety this year.
  23. Weather has been so crappy with the freeze/thaws that I haven't even got any in the ground yet. My dog is going stir crazy as he usually runs the line with me, and my son is chomping at the bit
  24. My son shot one last weekend of regular season. He thought it was a doe. One side had a dry socket, and the other side was fresh
  25. I always catch fish on them. I adjust depth, change bait if needed, and have them out regardless if we move 10 times. My friends are too lazy. Lol. Oh well, it was just one time. Maybe next time I won't be able to keep the fish off them.
