  1. Normally in the early morning and late afternoon the water calms down a bit this past weekend was a crap shoot anyway with winds switching.
  2. We were flipping in the reeds.
  3. I have talked with the controllking owner and he said the only way is to buy a more powerful servo. I have found servos but am afraid to buy it and not have it work Because I cant afford to have a $200 paper weight.
  4. Well seeing as it doesn't have a deep V I would think that it would probably end up on the bottom of the lake. The only reason the big boats can handle the water is because it displaces the water to the sides and are a lot deeper than a pontoon.
  5. I can answer this easy because I have researched this for months. 2 Strokes use a mechanical advance which requires more torque to raise the rpm (increase throttle) so the electric servo can not handle the required amount of pull.
  6. The motor idling should not disrupt the fish. It might have more to do with the combos and such.
  7. Nice work guys! Looks like you're making due even tho the conditions aren't the greatest.
  8. The water didn't look real deep in your photos any guess on depth you were fishing. I catch crappie through the ice in 10-15 FOW. I would guess they are shallower in the spring looking for warmer feeder streams to feed a little.
  9. That was exactly what I was thinking.
  10. Good to hear!
  11. Vince, Can you read the FF screen with either the oakleys or costas on? I like being able to look at the screen without having to take off my sunglasses.
  12. That is one thing I like about my El Cheapos is being able to view the FF. Anyone have any input with the costas, or mauis?
  13. Ya that is one thing I wasn't thinking about.
  14. Haha never thought of it that way but ya me too!
  15. I realize I need to try them on but I was just wondering brand wise and lens quality what people recommended. I was looking to pay in the $200 or less range. I like the look of the Oakley Flak jacket. But open to suggestions
  16. I am in the market for a good pair of sunglasses. I have worn the walmart berkleys for the last few years and they work alright but scratch and break really easy. The last pair I had I broke the ear piece off just by simply putting it between the sun visor and the head liner. Is there a pair of glasses out there that are at least scratch resistant, polarized, and a little better made? I don't need a Rx lens so that shouldn't hinder my selection. Thanks, Chas
  17. That is great! I really wanted to get a nice pair of polarized sunglasses for the water.
  18. Being a 1995 I am willing to bet it has lower compression around the 100-110 range. Johnson always ran lower compression when compared to other brands. It wasn't uncommon to have good compression around 90psi.
  19. You and me both. I just caught a 10lbs. largemouth bass in FL and I released it to live another day I will probably get a replica made or just fish for another hopefully bigger. I would rather see the trophies stay alive and keep up the breeding with good genetics.
  20. Haha its the little things people overlook and dont even realize it.
  21. Here is the site i use to check weather conditions. They change daily so I generally don't decide until the night before. Generally they are accurate in 12-24 hour sets. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=43.329173667843904&lon=-77.04437255859375&site=buf&unit=0&lg=en&FcstType=marine
  22. I looked at the weather reports and seems like she might be a little rough. West wind 15mph... I might just stay in and load up all the new goodies on the boat. Is anyone thinking about heading out?
  23. Now that was confusing
  24. I 2nd Hat-Trick
  25. Mine starts 5 places from the end. Generally if you have an idea (80s, 90s, 70s, whatever) there are only 2 numbers that are close.
