  1. Looks like my 10 round magizine is only supposed to have 7 rounds now. It looks like I will need to start carrying the clip for 14 rounds and 1 second clip changes, these legislators are idiots.

  3. Jake thats not a half bad idea. [ Post made via Android ]
  4. Do you think it would hurt the hook bend the eye?
  5. haha ya same goes on my boat.
  6. That is pretty sick! Can you have multiple cameras setup on the same device? It would be neat to have multiple angles on the boat or in the tree stand. One on the implement and the other on the angler/hunter.
  7. I am currently tying some of my own leaders for flies pretty much exactly as A-TOM-MIK does and was wondering if you prefer the Snell knot to tie on the treble or would you just do a Palomar? I have been tying the Snell knot but is a true pain in the butt. If memory serves me correct the Snell is a super strong knot that tightens as pressure is applied but the Palomar is one of the strongest knots used in fishing. If you were to purchase the leader same price on both what knot would be your preference. FWIW the Snell knot is traditional with the tail end buried under the wraps not on top.
  8. Stopped in to grab some bait and the stuff looks great!
  9. A few of the photos almost look photoshopped but others look legit.
  10. It seems a little slow around here and figured it would be fun to start a thread about what superstition stuff you guys do when you get a fish on. We have a few on our boat its mostly just to pass blame from the angler fighting the fish to the unsuspecting bystander. 1) Don't yell "GRAB THE NET" when the fish hits the pole. It seems like every time someone yells grab the net the fish comes off shortly after. 2) Don't "Get the net ready" or "in place" we always seem to have the net set so at a moments notice it is within reach and we either have a slow day until it is laying along side the cuddy or wrapped up in a cleat. We leave it in the holder until we get the fish within 50' on the line counter. 3) We always seem to loose the fish when someone says "Thats a nice fish" pop line goes slack. These scenarios aren't always true but they are always the ones we remember. Lets hear the others!
  11. I checked a couple smaller ponds and they had about 5 inches sat afternoon not sure about after today's temps. [ Post made via Android ]
  12. You would probably do better selling the kicker separate and lowering your asking price. Nice looking boat you have there! [ Post made via Android ]
  13. This is the reason why my wife knows how to shoot all my guns including my glock. Fortunate for us we have no kids so I have no problem leaving guns loaded but this will become an issue when we pop 1 or 2 out. I myself was brought up in a household where all of our guns were loaded but I was taught gun safety at a young age .
  14. Thanks! [ Post made via Android ]
  15. Anyone know if there is any ice on the smaller ponds in the stueben county area? I was going to go for a drive this weekend and start checking the local spots but thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone knew. I am new to Steuben County area and if you have some good places let me know. I might be buying a PA fishing license to fish Cowanesque Lake (in my back yard).
  16. How do you keep the hole from freezing over I have a few that don't work that great because the hole keeps freezing over.

  22. So are you near mud bay? [ Post made via Android ]
  23. It really depends. Without having a topography map in hand I can tell you what to look for. In the spring fish will be in the shallows feeding. Don't know if this is too far for you but we have killed the browns on the lake side of the isthmus near Chaumont bay. Towards the summer I usually Dinah the trench outside of Henderson harbor. The best thing you could do is get a topo map and find some nice drop offs. I heard a lot of people catching fish in the shipping channel. [ Post made via Android ]
  24. I knew walleyes need longer leads. I guess it was just habit to run long leads from my walleye fishing. [ Post made via Android ]
