  1. I love how the pole is bent clean over right in front of the reel! That is what I like to see!
  2. Here is a photo of what I wanted to try. Basically I wasn't sure if my fishing lines at the forward downriggers would be too close and get tangled with my rear fishing lines on the downriggers further back. I was planning on running spin dr. fly combos on all 4.
  3. Ok so I have 3 cannon uni-trolls with the 4' arms and a walker with a custom 3' boom. I want to run all for riggers in the spring and summer but trying to figure out how to run them and where to put them on the boat. I currently run 2 of the 4' uni-trolls off the sides pointing 90* from the boat. The 3rd and forth I was going to run straight back off the transom. My boat has a 8.5' beam. My outside riggers are 3'+ forward of the transom. So the rigger weights would be 7' from each other in all directions. Should I just run 3 of the uni-trolls and sell the walker? Or will they be separated enough to not worry about tangles. Thanks, Chas
  4. It would be sweet if they got it in a digital copy. I would love to have it on my tablet and phone!
  5. Is he in the classifieds? I need a couple of torpedoes.
  6. I run blacks releases and natural lead color (silverish). I am also running the cannon pinch release (not my personal fav but works).
  7. If you ever wanted a boat ramp on your property now would be the time to put it in!
  8. I hate to drag up an old post but isn't this system used for sail boats? I was thinking of installing autopilot on my boat but it has cable steering. Is there anything out there that I can use?
  9. I had a very large paw print in the bottom of our creek bed when I used to Weed whack it for my grand parents. My father, grandfather, and myself ruled out bear, and yote/wolf so the only reasonable explanation was a mountain lion. The print was the size of a medium work glove. My grandfather saw one about 15 years ago on our property but haven't seen one since and this print was the most recent sign we have had. I think when people see them out in the woods they give them a case of lead poisoning.
  10. haha nice
  11. Outboards will suck more gas than an I/O but other than that there is no real advantage to the to I/O. The outboard can be ran in shallower water, be changed to another boat with the removal of 4 bolts and controls, less maintenance, and can be ran in colder temps without needing a lot of winterization.
  12. Too bad they don't have little trout or salmon as the lights. Maybe a spoon or lure that lights up!
  13. Very cool. Its amazing how erie eyes look so much different than lake ontario.
  14. Ours does the same, not sure if the new ones are better but ours gets so hot its uncomfortable to hang onto.
  15. Stop keeping so many fish! Haha we are in the same boat normally our trigger sticks and we need to tap it on the table to shut it off. [ Post made via Android ]
  16. These aren't the best pictures but it will give you a taste for what the trailer looks like. The part of the guide on is now removed. Also has all new wiring, bearings and all lights work.
  17. Would there be any interest in a boat trailer that can handle a 25'-27' boat? I have my 23' Pro Line on it and she fits well. It is a narrow style trailer so I wouldn't go anymore than a 9' beam. It is rated for 7000 lbs. Its all galvanized with new electric brakes and bearings (old hydraulic were shot) bunk style trailer. I can try to find a picture but is 4 hours away and in storage. I would probably take $1000 for the trailer maybe a little less. I just want to get a feeler out there for anyone that might be interested. I forgot to mention it is a I-beam construction trailer. Thanks, Chas
  18. She is the JV soccer coach and math teacher. Thanks guys! [ Post made via Android ]
  19. You and me both but I am limited to a couple fish and 2 deer mounts. I just have to hang my 2 biggest mount in the living room and the rest in my reloading room/nursery
  20. Ya my father and I have been managing the property since 2008 along with most of the neighbors. My father unfortunately has that never shoot a doe mind set that makes managing tough when it is only me taking 1-2 doe a season. This year we have only seen 1 mature buck that didn't amount to much (7 point small rack, 4.5 year old deer.) Our buck to doe ratio is about 1:5 which is pretty horrible.
  21. Great info but just one question; What about a 2.5 year old 8 point that is just a small basket rack should he be removed from the herd? When I say basket rack I am talking maybe a 14" inside spread, and 3" tines with the G3's just barely enough to hang a ring on.
  22. White crush glow Green dot spinny Mtn dew crush glow spinny
  23. I have been in small craft advisory with my boat when I got caught with my lines down. It wasn't bad but like said above smaller boat would have been swamped. I love having self bailing floors!
  24. I change the fluid in my lower and make sure it is tilted all the way down to make sure all the water is out of the lower and put it away. Gotta love outboards!
