Is it ran directly to your main tank or off a separate tank? I was going to say check to make sure it is vented. Otherwise it is most likely pulling air in thru the line and loosing prime.

Me too everything that hits the water gets tied on with a Palomar knot (except rigger balls.)

Is it a mercruiser prop? There is a place in Clayton NY called the Prop Shop that reconditions props. It would be a lot cheaper than buying a new prop. I have a few OMC (Johnson and OMC) props I could sell you for cheap. One would need to be reconditioned the other isn't too bad.

Your probably better off buying a new barrel. If that isn't a choice check out www.midwayusa.com they have tons of gun smithing stuff and gun parts. If you can't find it on their site call them.

I agree 100%. I am looking into a smaller boat for around home on the smaller lakes. But most of my time is spent on the big O so it doesn't have to be something special. If you are planning on being on the big O a lot then go with the larger boat, you won't regret it.

So if your riggers out perform your dipsys 2 to 1 it would be a good assumption that you don't have a current/voltage problem. Does this apply to fiberglass boats or only aluminum? I always thought that fiberglass doesn't conduct enough electricity to make it a problem. I am not trying to be a smart ass just had some of the same concerns.

They had a youth hunt first weekend of bow season

Last year we were running nothing but shallow diver stickbaits on 70'-120' leads. They produced a lot of fish. I would recomend picking up a couple of inline boards 1 right and 1 left to get the lures away from the boat. In the spring up until the water temp comes up you won't need dipsys unless you are planning on running them on a 4 setting to get them away from the boat.

I just store my boat with what is left in it (Sta-bil marine at every fill during the season). In the spring I put in 25 gallons of 93 octane to boost the octane of any old fuel.

There has got to be some chemical that will sterilize these crap not allowing them to spawn. Without allowing them to spawn will likely kill off the fish after a good 10 years. I don't know why they haven't been working on a permanent barrier while the electric fence keeps them at bay (for the time being and while we have electricity supplied to it.)

You could always try to slide some 220 grit sand paper between and lightly sand it.

I have a 23' fiberglass and handles the big water awesome! Fiberglass will have a much nicer ride than a aluminum. Take a look at nick's boat in the classifieds. Nice lOoking grady. [ Post made via iPod ]
