  1. Right many didn't care for him but how many publicly bashed him? No one! DQ's in tournaments can be for a number of reasons other than cheating.
  2. Uncle, I think sums it up.
  3. Once again no one is bringing up any other arrests Bill Saiff might have had only the ones that apply to what the site's interests. Last I checked he didn't work here on the site or own this site so how would we be at his business picketing like you mentioned. I'm not condoning anyone approaching him at his home or business and verbally assaulting the individual. He ran a business that procured profits by cheating the system and got caught. He shouldn't be able to profit anymore from the acts he is charged for. I am a school teacher and if I got charged with a DWI my job would in jeopardy. I act as a role model to my students as most of the charters out there do the same for the weekend warrior. Why shouldn't he loose his "job" like any other professional would.
  4. They are great! I would like to a couple more at some point, much nicer than the plastic dipsys just be careful with mono/flouro around the edges.
  5. That's the nature of the 2 stroke they pull the same rpms with an extra powerstroke compared to the 4 stroke but at the cost of fuel. My 2 stroke 1988 150 Johnson runs like a raped date but man does she like her fuel. I would never troll exclusively with the 150 I did it for about 3 trips used 18 gallons of fuel just trolling for 10 hours. She is a hog. I will say that she cruises nicely at around 2 mpg but trolling I would bet she gets the same or worse. My 8hp 2 Stroke johnson pushes my 23' boat nicely for the size but 10 hours of trolling will use about 3 1/2 gallons of fuel.
  6. I think that is what we are all arguing but dmd isn't understanding. He doesn't think it is right we slander his name but he already did that himself by committing the acts. This isn't a political issue or something that is opinion based, there shouldn't be any defending a guy that blatantly broke the law for PROFIT. A DWI or similar charges have nothing to do with an outdoor site so why would you post that on here that doesn't make any sense. We are discussing a person (using that term loosely) that took people hunting and fishing that portrayed himself as a professional but really a shyster looking to take peoples money.
  7. Yes and No. Creel limit is that now I don't throw the fish back unless they are undersized. Whether they live or not it is Illegal to keep undersized fish. Rules are rules and bending them is the same as breaking them. I'm sorry sitting on the edge of a food plot is completely different than dumping a pile of corn in front of your deer stand/blind. The timing of the year contributes to the food plot and whether deer will want to visit based on the forage. I think he should be held accountable just as much as anyone else. No one should get off easy pulling that kind of crap.
  8. The one time I trailered to the launch down the street I didn't like how much mine bounced around on the bracket. Do you tether yours in some way to the boat to keep it from bouncing around?
  9. Or caught in the body of water it is being used. You can catch your own minnows and use them in the body of water they were taken from. The amount of time they say bait is usable is a joke I have had bait live for over 2 weeks do they think I'm just going to dump them in the water after 10 days? The regs don't specify whether you can use your or own or not. Take it for what's it's worth not sure if they can ticket or not being there isn't a law against it but nothing specifying you can.
  10. I take that back it was the fulton bracket not the garelick. I also have the garelick adjustable bracket that slides into the above bracket so I didn't need to permanetly mount the adjustable one to the boat. I have an 8hp 2 stroke johnson on mine but wouldn't be afraid of putting a 10hp 4 stroke on it.
  11. I had my buddy modify one of these brackets for my garelick stainless motor bracket so I can remove it for transporting. That is the only drawback to a permanent kicker is the ability to not remove it on long drives.
  12. I checked the regs it doesn't say anything about salting your own minnows only the use of commercially available packages.
  13. You have a hard top with canvas over? I like the setup of that boat. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Sent it to my buddy pm me your contact info ill pass it along. How many hours on the motor? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. I see what you are saying Jim but there is a huge difference in what you are talking about and what he did. He setup feeding stations in an area where there isn't any natural forage making the Animals congregate in his location for profit. Not nearly the same as 100's of acres for the birds to choose from. It's not luck or talent when you do what he did. I can only imagine what he has done hunting other animals on other properties when it is only him and his sons. I have fished the Henderson area for 11 years and routinely see his boats trolling in front of my cottage on Chaumont in 10 fow or less for the opener of walleye and then after. During the colder days of the season the pike will not be in the shallows as much but the bass will be. So I wonder what he is targeting for his clients? You should catch them fish but blatantly going after bass out of season is illegal in Jefferson county.
  16. Did you see the chart? Montreal is 20' above sea level so the ocean would need to have risen a minimum of 15' to have any effect on the water coming down the St. Lawrence. It's a volume issue not enough area for the water to go between the banks so it is going over those banks.
  17. I'm looking at getting myself a SmokerCraft Phantom 222 Offshore. Similar but with canvas instead of the hardtop. I like the idea of a hardtop but they don't offer one right now. I can't justify the price of a Kingfisher new like the one you posted. It costs more than my house. I believe the price tag on the one you posted is right around $150k. Another perk is the ability to trailer easily vs a fiberglass boat of that size. Being able to tow a boat 70mph down the highway and only weighing in around 4000lbs. loaded is nice compared to twice that of a fiberglass boat.
  18. They are close but the scorpions have more of an S shape to them and are a little fatter opposite the hook end.
  19. Myself , father in law, family friend and a few family members all own water front in the henderson area we are a little higher up on the banks but still close to the water. The area we have built (myself, father in law and neighbor friend) are not in the flood plain but we are still close to having water in our front yards. We have been lucky enough to have another foot before it starts to come over the bank or what bank is left. They are saying it's going up more, anyone with waterfront has to be nervous I was before now I am worried how much we will loose when we flood vs if we flood.
  20. Trolling for eyes some haven't been able to keep them off their lines. Not sure if it will be better this year but in the years past we haven't caught many bass trolling but this year seems to be the opposite.
  21. I have a Raymarine a68 and love my down imagining. The amount of detail and sensitivity is crazy compared to traditional sonar. It actually makes me quite upset seeing the fish under my boat and not catching them. Below is a picture of the CHIRP sonar. I also have the Down Imagining screen but don't use that much because I don't really fish structure. I have some screen shots I'll have to find.
  22. 2 batteries will make a huge difference than 1 it's doubling your amp/hrs. Make sure you don't drain your battery past half way otherwise you will lessen the service life of that battery. I highly recommend a big deep cycle battery something in the 29 size range. I have had walmart ever start batteries on my boat for around 4 years and they are still running strong. I make sure to charge them during the winter and maintain water levels in them. I know they aren't the best out there but they seem to work for a good price. My father in law has spent $200+ per a battery and they only last 1 or 2 seasons. I'm not sure if it's him or the batteries.
  23. Pretty sick! Wonder if other states with hog issues will follow suit?
  24. More power to you, I think my legs would be limp noodles after the first mile out.
  25. Gotcha thanks. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
