  1. This makes a little more sense now. I was thinking I/O I'm not sure how inboard props are labelled.
  2. I agree my prop is a 15x17 15" diameter with 17" pitch. I highly doubt you have a 17" diameter prop I don't think it would fit under the cavitation plate. That being said it seems like you have what most people are running on the same sized boat. Here is a question for you, how many hours on your motor? Have you done a compression test lately?
  3. Come on Pap where is your sense of adventure? I tuck right in those little coves bass fishing with my 23 footer! Of course I do have an outboard.
  4. FishUSA generally.
  5. Are you looking to target only trout and salmon? If you want to go out of Henderson it can be one of the rougher ports. Any wind out of the Southwest, West, Northwest, sometimes South winds will even wreak havoc. You could fish Onieda on those blow days if you wanted to target some walleye a little shorter drive than all up to Henderson. Also would allow you to fish Mexico that is great port.
  6. I have to agree 2,000 isn't big enough. 10,000 on the other hand would have been perfect for a couple healthy herds. Man I was hoping.
  7. I actually had my 128 quart igloo cooler seat (filled with my electronics, rain gear, downrigger weights, terminal tackle, hooks, extra reels) come undone on a drive to find it riding on my poles for 110 miles. I thought for sure Thy were all going to be broke. My one copper rod is roughed up on the back but only some scratches to the clear coat. I have ran the Cabela's rods, couple ugly sticks, wilderness, and diawa rods but my Okuma's see regular duty. I am a teacher and my summers are filled with trolling for eyes, trout, and salmon. The medium 8'-6" downrigger rod is great for inline planers and big boards. I have caught hundreds of fish on these no issues. One thing I will mention is I don't leave my rods and reels in the sun or weather day after day. After everyday they get put back into the barn until the next day.
  8. Glad you're getting it back and hope she holds up better this time around. Good to know they took care of it.
  9. I second that! Get rid/release the white deer and get some elk back into NY!
  10. Yeah It would be great to have a lottery for the guys that want to hunt it. There are white deer down by me on the out skirts of the Big Flats area. Cool to see but genetic defect and could later impact herd health. No one knows for sure if those deer are truly healthy.
  11. I have had most of my rods for 6 seasons going on 7 and haven't had one break. I know a number of charters that use them. Ugly sticks are a nice rod too but double the price of the GLT. If I ever need to replace my GLT I could replace it and still be less that the ugly sticks.
  12. Sorry didn't see this, I use the downrigger they double as my planer rods, copper rods, and dipsy rods. All work great!
  13. You should see water coming out the port at the back of the mid section motor housing.
  14. I doubt it would pull any extra current only because the solenoid isn't always running making contact with the relay.
  15. If that's too much money to spend buy a neoprene life jacket to go under your jackets.
  16. Yup I bought my humminbird 4 seasons ago and it works fantastic. I have the 35 but the 45 is in your budget and has a higher power transducer. huminbird all the way.
  17. The electric start should be grounded to the battery only not to your boat.
  18. My Grandfather and Great grandfather said our property in the early 50s had a pair of timberwolves. No trail cameras back then to get photos but I am guessing back then if they were around and got into things they were killed. I have seen foot prints in our creek bottom that resemble mountian lions (way too big to be a bobcat). Looks like wolf to me.
  19. Yup I have made the switch to Bay Rats last year and they have produced just as well as the old storms. I will be buying some more this spring I wish they gave a discount when buying 10 or more.
  20. Yeah I have gotten to the point when I go out I packed a 50' rope. I can put anything heavy on it to get the distance I need. Get the people in front of a buddy heater stripped down and they will warm up pretty quick. Also I carry an extra set of clothes in my truck in case I or someone I am with goes thru the ice. If they got swept under then there was nothing anyone could do. It is very sad to hear something like this. I don't know what I would do if my son fell thru. In any case if my kid was that young no matter how thick the ice I would tether him to me in case something did happen, I could just grab the rope and haul him out and to the truck to get warm. Leave my stuff on the ice and get it later after the hospital visit.
  21. Yeah I am thinking after today it is pretty much toast unless we get some really cold temps.
  22. Any word on current conditions?
  23. My buddy has the BSA and hates it. Sold it and opted for leupold rifleman I think.
  24. I believe it is a little bigger but not as big as the plastic coated.
  25. Might be why bass pro just bought Ranger boats....
