My buddy uses pellet and wishes he went coal. It is about the same price wise but a lot more heat per a lb. I have no personal experience so this is word of mouth. Usually the guy knows what he is talking about so I don't have a reason to doubt but others might have a little more insight. One thing about coal stoves is that they are hot and if you plan on putting this in a room your going to frequent it might be too hot to sit around. They do heat very well though.

Ready here are the dates you want to be in the woods for peak rut....Last 2 weeks of bow season bam, done, that is it, not a day before not a day after. haha Seriously though it is generally always around the same time each year. Whether it is caused by so many days after first frost, moon phase, or just their instinctual urges.

I can see them doing earn a buck program but then I can also see a lot of guys that hunt as a group eating a doe tag to have a buck tag between a few of them. Their program would work flawlessly if everyone followed the rules (should use laws but we know how well they are enforced) but there are always people that work around the system. The worst part is the guys that do this ruin for those that actually follow the law.

Well in the northern zone they have bow season, then muzzleloader lastly followed by regular season. I always asked why it isn't like that all over NY basically giving the guys that hunt with the hardest implements first then then ending with the "easier". Now I'm not saying hunting in general is easy just the implements used get easier to use.

NeverMind convectors have metal drag star Sent from my thinking chair...

No still plastic, I only had an issue with the non dx series drags sticking. I replaced them with carbon washers and they work great. They have the same drag star as the convectors I think. Sent from my thinking chair...

I wanna thank the 3 guys that took time away from fishing to chase down one of our rogue geese. Can't thank those guys enough. We managed 4 geese with the 1 being a diver those stuck to out and managed to get her done. If you guys are on here I owe you guys a beer. Let me know when you guys want to collect I'll be up here until the weekend of September 27th. Sent from my thinking chair...

Try greatlakesskipper.com Lots of good boat gear. Sent from my thinking chair... -
Honestly rigger rods don't really need line counters. I just use the line pawl (line guide on the reel) as a line counter. Just see how much line comes off in one sweep of the pawl left to right. Sent from my thinking chair...

My buddy's property is like that come gun season you have a better chance of seeing deer on state property. They push their property every weekend for the first 2 weeks and, the whole 300 acres is a ghost town after that. My family owns 220 acres and never push deer and we can go in a stand set and see deer almost every time.

Depending on the magda model one is better than the other. The older ones leave a lot to be desired. I have 3 seasons on my magda pro 30 series as dipsy reels with no issues. The drags can go bad but are easy and cheap to replace yourself.

Yup, I have seen it several times and it truly shows there are great people out there. Thinking about all the events going on lately has truly divided this country hopefully it can reunite at some point.

How full are the spools? If it comes off and is tight then comes back on loose then it will effect the amount of line. How much is it off? Try this and compare the difference. Spool off 100' hit the reset then winde it back on see if it is off do the same thing again but 200 see if it is porportional to the 100'. Sent from my thinking car!

I have found where there are gobies there are bass. Take a small like #6 or #8 hook and put a piece of worm that barely covers the hook drop it to the bottom and wait. Use this setup to catch gobies, keep the ones that are 2" long or smaller use them as bait for bass. I have been catching the bass in the henerson area this way. I am catching around 10-15 fish in 4 hours of fishing I don't consider that killing them but pretty good results.

I hunt between addison and woodhull, there are some nice deer but you really have to work for them. The Amish in the area really decimate the deer herds.

We have had our cameras out and I have been preparing myself with 30 arrows a night at varying yardages. I am looking forward to maybe getting a chance at some nice deer. I have to get out and scout a little in the area I saw a monster last year. Only 1 stand left to hang all my others are in same spots for the last 6 or 7 years those I just need to check straps and tree steps. Unfortunately some scum bag stole one of my stands and cameras on our private property so I will have an eye out for that SOB.
