  1. I wouldn't cap the trailer rails, you will trap water and cause rusting if galvanized/painted.

  10. Did I mention getting the lift into the water far enough was really cold when the water was coming over the chest waders and pooling around your junk, 40* water is a lot colder when it isn't on your hands.
  11. I'm wondering for those that run small swivels what size will fit thru the eye on the pole, I'm using these between mainline and leader. I know I can tie the leader directly to mainline but want to be able to change things up easily and cutting my braid is a pain. Here is a list of manufacturers I'm looking at. SPRO Power Swivels -- http://www.fishusa.com/product/SPRO-Power-Swivels-50-Pack Berkley Ball bearing Swivels -- http://www.fishusa.com/product/Berkley-Ball-Bearing-Swivels Blackbrid Swivels -- http://www.fishusa.com/product/Blackbird-Swivels-by-Redwing-Tackle
  12. Exactly what I was referring too. It works when things get slow.
  13. Look into a rail system, I have my boat on chaumont bay and when it was on a lift we had to move it 3 or 4 times a season into deeper water. I went to a rail system and haven't looked back. They use a winch with a carriage that rides on C channel. Not sure how big your boat is but for the price of a lift you can get a pretty hefty rail system. I have the 4000lbs. model http://www.rgcproducts.com/marine-new/beacher_railways.html
  14. Fantastic idea. Why not work together on such a great fishery to benefit both.
