  1. Depends on the fish but is a medium action rod. Sent from my thinking chair...
  2. I use the Okuma classic pro glt rods 8'-6". I use then for little planer boards and the big boards. Sent from my thinking chair...
  3. I have the small clam hub, it's good for 2 with smaller chairs. Sent from my thinking chair...
  4. I just picked up one of the Cabela's magnum rubber nets with telescopic handle. This thing will work great for walleye and browns. I paid $70 for the thing 4'-8' handle.
  5. They were great!
  6. Not sure, we need more info. Inboard/Inboard outboard/Outboard Kicker/No kicker/both I went with the Raymarine EV100 and love it. I run a kicker or outboard, don't think about just buy it. These units are like having a 2nd person steering. I can actually fight fish and net while the boat steers itself. I honestly can't believe I didn't by one sooner. Sent from my thinking chair...
  7. Done! Hope it helps. Sent from my thinking chair...
  8. Do you use the support braces? Sent from my thinking chair...
  9. Where are you located? Sent from my thinking car!
  10. Looking for the great lakes planer basic rocket launcher. If you have one of the deluxe or something close to it let me know. I already have the vertical rod holders but would like something with some more storage overhead. Here is a photo of what I am looking for.
  11. No doubt it was a nice fish and great story. Definitely will be a great memory for her and her father. The photo I saw on field and stream earlier in the week looked different than the one posted maybe it had something to do with the source it just looked different. Sent from my thinking chair...
  12. x2 I tie my own fly leaders and use VMC trebles, and Gamekatsu octopus hooks.
  13. You are correct but if they are lying down it is only for a matter of an hour at most and aren't asleep when lying down. That still means their head is an easy 3'-4' off the ground.
  14. I'm with you. Where is the 2nd hand? it isn't being held by the gill, its mouth would be open more and thumb would probably be in mouth to keep from dropping it.
  15. Nice boat, I have seen him out numerous times.
  16. Antler restrictions seem like a give-me, I mean there are size and quantity restrictions on most fish species. There is more land than water and deer aren't stocked why not put regs on deer too?
  17. I wonder how many are caught. could you imagine the amount of bait under the ice?!?!
  18. studded track?
  19. I did in the past not bad but I have had less break offs with Seaguar. Here is a site that lists various manufacturers and their strengths. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewfluorocarbontestpg6.html
  20. Same as you, last 6" of outside board. Still had it flip once in the rough stuff (6' waves) got caught sideways, wave broke and rolled it over.
  21. Yeah mine just go in the cuddy.
  22. That's funny because I have several friends that live and hunt in PA and say just the opposite. There are more 120" 8 points walking around than they can count and don't bother shooting them because that is the run of the mill sized bucks in their area. They also hunt private property bordering state land. After 1 year of people not shooting the spikes/ 4 points there will be just as many if not more bucks running around. The guys mentioned above said it was harder hunting for most in PA when the AR came thru because a lot of people shot everything they saw and the bucks that made it generally were only button bucks. So it took 2 years before they were seeing legal deer on their property.
  23. That show stopper spinny hooked me!
  24. How can you stand fishing with those rods in the middle of the boat? I used to have mine setup like that but couldn't stand fighting fish around them. 2 words "Special Mate" these boxes are available for stickbaits or spoons. I have the spoon box and will be buying a stickbait box. I can't stand untangling hooks, wasted time and a total pain. Only down side is they are a little bulkier and are on the expensive side.
