Are they the same deer? It is hard to tell from the pics. The top one looks like it could be pushing into the 150's. I have a 161" 10 point on the wall and the browtines are 6" g2's are 12", g3's are 11" and g4's are 7". His main beams are 26 and 27 along with a 19.5" inside spread. The mass was 4" around all the way up and 5.5" at the bases. These numbers are all close but I might be off a little I have the official score sheet at home but either way maybe take an inch off of each measurement. Here are a few photos to compare. These are without me extending my arms.

Would you guys consider a dog barking at you and snarling when in the tree stand enough to shoot it? I have had this happen on more than one occasion and did not know what to do. Dog wardens are useless along with DEC they all have better things to do than report to dog chasing deer problems. I have also had a neighbors dog find my deer just minutes from me and it already tried to start tearing apart the rear hind quarters. The dog would snarl and get mean. I tried to catch it but didn't want to get tangled up with it. I talked to the owner on several occasions. That same owner called the police on me after his dog didn't show up for several days stating I shot it and I threatened to, which I did not do either of the 2 accusations. I wasn't even in town that weekend and had receipts to prove it. I didn't have to do anything to the dog as someone else on a neighboring property probably took care of the problem. I get where you guys are coming from and I have returned several dogs to owners. I own 2 dogs that love the outdoors but are trained to stay in my yard and I do not allow them to wander as I am a pet owner and I (the owner) AM RESPONSIBLE for my animals.

Lets have NY jump on board with this one. I have shot 3 already this year. In the past we could sit on stand for days and never see or hear any now we have them all over. We are seeing more during daylight hours than ever before too. -
Thanks I'll look into it. My wife keeps "borrowing" my fun money so I have to wait and see how much I have coming.

I have pulled 2 out of me and have had a good half dozen more crawling on me after I de-clothe. Down where I hunt (southern NY/northern PA) they are really bad this year. I have also pulled 3 out of my dog and they have only been in our yard. My father's property in Wayne county has no ticks. I have never had one on me or the deer I shoot.

Yup have the same at my dad's property and my buddy's. I was lucky enough to see the nocturnal buck next to our house at last light a couple nights ago. Worst part about it was he was a mere 65 yards away and took off after the other buck back into the woods I just called him out of...Very frustrating. I was just looking a little closer to your photos and he looks really young. You have some nice genetics near you.

This afternoon was a bust for me. Not a single deer except 2 I blew off on the way in. Saw a funky 6 point this morning. Typical 8 point rack on one side and the other had double browtines 8" of his head. Sent from my thinking chair...

BowTech's Invasion CPXL specifically for long draw lengths. I have shot that long with the carbon knight and they so smooth it isn't right. I currently shoot a 2007 BowTech Tribute and my wife shoots a 2006. BowTech makes some of the best bows and are priced competitively along other major brands. My father-in-law has a 31.5" draw length with string loop and shoots the Mathew's Reezen 7.0 another great bow. I finished off a buck I shot last year with his bow (I'm only a 28.5" draw length) and it is a nice shooting bow. I used to own a PSE Nova when they first came out before I upgraded to the 2006 tribute my wife now uses. It was an OK bow at best. I haven't really found a PSE I like, not saying they aren't good bows I just don't like their feel or the way they draw.

Welcome! You will find more information here than you will ever need.

You and me both. My wife loves to still fish but hates trolling. I on the other hand hate still fishing and love trolling. I am damn good at bass and perch fishing but just hate doing it then on the other end I am mediocre at best when salmon trolling (walleye trolling I catch fish and generally a good amount.). I mean I can sit there for an hour and catch some perch for dinner but that is about all I can take. OP I have had my wife there with me when it came to buying everything (for the most part) and she knows what I paid. The ironic thing is she is still married to me after seeing what I spend. I would make a list of what things are and expected value as of this coming year. Obviously depreciation will happen over the years but if she knows what it is and can search google she should be able to come up with a fair price. If she can't do it maybe one of your kids/close friends/relative can do it.

Really I hunt 8F as well and have had tons of rubs and several scrapes for the past week. The scrapes are majority young bucks but the one rub was decent. Here is a few photos the one of the young 6 point has a nice rub behind him. We saw a monster one evening right next to this stand but nothing lately.

Come on Tracy where's your spirit?! Lol generally with my buddies we run 12 to 14 rods depending on how many people are with me. Most of the time we run the big boards for 8 or more and smaller inline boards when it is only a couple of us (6 rod). I forgot to mention once rods start firing off I try to run most of my baits along the same depth. I have found that running them 10' apart is not to hard long as you watch the rods. I have found that it is easier to run leads closer on big boards than the in-line boards. This is mostly because you are attaching them to the same line and always at that set distance apart. On inline boards some will pull harder and move further up the spread making the lures run at the same level and possibly cause a tangle when a fish takes the bait.
