  1. Well I have had a few women on the boat and they said the rod butt hurts their stomachs, pelvic area chest, where ever they try to stick it while reeling. It's there anything that will help it from digging in? I don't want those fish fighting belts because they get pretty nasty after a while. Sent from my thinking chair...
  2. Downriggers and dipsys. I only ruin flasher flys on the dipsys and 1 on the riggers. The other 3 riggers are outfitted with spoons.Sent from my thinking chair...
  3. I ran from the high rocks out to the middle of the wall then back toward the high rocks. I would have went further down the wall but the wife called me in a little earlySent from my thinking chair...
  4. They are almost exactly the same as the Dreamweaver UV NBK but instead of the white it's silver. The bigger Brown came on the UV NBK.Sent from my thinking chair...
  5. Green silver with black and glow ladder. I have to look up the name.Sent from my thinking chair...
  6. Sorry forgot that info. I started trolling at 10am and quit at 2pm. Down temps were ok but nothing great. Anything shallower than 100' was reading high 60s. Best temps (56°) were at 90' to 110' over 115fow to 150fow. Current wasn't too bad I kept my down speed around 2.25 making my ground speed or gps 2 mph traveling towards the northeast and 2.5 mph toward the southwest. Sent from my thinking chair...
  7. Went out today not expecting to catch anything with the Crap weather but managed 2 browns and 4 hits 2 lost. This was all on the trench so that means the kings shouldn't be far behind. The first and second picture show the marks I was picking up and the last is 1 of the 2 browns. Sent from my thinking chair...
  8. Just today I managed a 10 incher in all this rain. Sent from my thinking chair...
  9. Ya the wife talked me into it so it's all her fault! Haha Haha Ya they were slobs! Couldn't have asked for a better day, maybe a little smaller waves but we managed. Ya you're almost straight across the bay. Do you fish walleye in the spring? You must live down the street from Stevie Ezel. He is my father in law's cousin. Sent from my thinking chair...
  10. We caught a good 25 smallies in just a few hours. I managed one for the wall at 5lbs 10oz. Just beats out my wife's 5lbs. 6oz she had mounted. Hopefully the next one will be 6lbs plus. Here are s couple pics from the day. We wanted to get a few more but couldn't set the poles down. Smallest fish was 3.5 lbs. Sent from my thinking chair...
  11. I don't know enough about saltwater and motors to comment on those but glass boats actually benefit from saltwater. The salt actually helps preserves any wood that is penetrated by the saltwater. Granted it can still rot but not nearly as quick.Sent from my thinking chair...
  12. That it's what I use and works great. User it on all my downrigger terminations.Sent from my thinking chair...
  13. It sounds a lot like a fuel pump or carb issue. Maybe a stuck needle in the carb? Sent from my thinking chair...
  14. it holds his 5000lbs walk around. It's a MinnKota Deckhand 40. Made to hold a 40lbs anchor.Sent from my thinking chair...
  15. My father in law had one if those MinnKota electric windlass anchor systems that he never uses would you be interested in something like that? Sent from my thinking chair...
  16. I never anchor off the bow it allows the boat to sway side to side to much I always anchor off one of the rear corners and she stays put. I have about 1 foot of free board at my transom where the outboard doors and regularly anchor up in 3 footers that way with next to waves ending up in the boat. When I'm done I throw the 200' of 5/8" anchor rope on the floor next to the corner I anchor off.Sent from my thinking chair...
  17. My guess is fuel pump trying pumping it while it is running.Sent from my thinking chair...
  18. We went out up here in Chaumont and were able to hook up with some 8 inchers while perch fishing. A good sign to see that there are some fish making thru all the gobys. Sent from my thinking chair...
  19. I have a 23' proline with an outboard. Would it be more cost efficient to buy a Jack plate and mount an outboard? Just another option. I would but a reman motor. There are a lot of options out there. Being a 4.3L motor those can be found in a lot of gm vehicles just change the cam out. Sent from my thinking chair...
  20. I got the same pose but opposite turn. Sent from my thinking chair...
  21. I called and talked to the owner of the control king unit and he explained a couple different ways I might be able to hook it up. One was using the original throttle cable and the other was to make aa arm to operate the throttle mechanism and timing advance Sent from my thinking chair...
  22. Henderson is a lot closer than Chaumont bay. Henderson would be about 4-6 miles round trip.I would launch out of Henderson or the newly renovated isthmus ramp but I keep my boat on a hoist and don't generally drive my truck. Sent from my thinking chair...
  23. I will be attempting that this winter with my 2 stroke Johnson 7.5. The issue is the size of the servo, it isn't strong enough to engage the throttle and the timing advance.Sent from my thinking chair...
  24. X2 I second thatSent from my thinking chair...
  25. Anyone able to download this on their smart phone app? Sent from my thinking chair...
