Guys falls in Canandaigua while reeling in big rainbow

if your chassis is hitting that is one thing, but if you are spinning (no traction) then you need tires. Been stuck in less than an inch of snow (3/4 ton Ford) - bought new and better grade tires and never got her stuck again. No chains and I used it to plow as well. Gas mileage is the only downside. It dips with meatier tires. Good luck. I always ask local dealers and not the big name garages (aka Wal-Mart) for advice and they have never steered me wrong.

When you cull for timber reasons leaving the tree standing may be good but for wild life we cull trees and fell them across each other. We have several areas where the poplars grove and we go in and level about 20 of them. The animals love it because it has the cover and the food. We make sure we leave room for a solid trail and also cut the tree higher ~5ft so that they are resting up in the air and not on the ground. It is good for several years. Poplars regenerate quickly and gives the hardwoods a chance to get stabilized. I am going to do another section next year. We only target poplars. I am glad you covered safety. My favorite is knowing your escape path.

The people at the store say that they don't have one up yet. You can go on line to fill out a customer survey and get a $10 coupon. But that is about it. Once you go on and see that their prices do not warrant your trip, maybe you won't go. Right now people are flooding the store because of the great commercials and intrigue. So far it it is pretty much like like a better Dicks. I am guessing they will fall into the same routine that Gander did.

Who can explain the Lake Champlain area? I thought maybe Rochester(Monroe) might be blue but it isn't and even tree hugging liberal central (Ithaca) Tompkin's county is green. Who is he representing? Maybe there should be more momentum building to secede. I think upstate and downstate can agree that we don't like each other.

Thanks, made me laugh... Apparently my novacaine from dental work carried over to my writing as well as my speech. Good day and don't forget to vote!

Muskie changed the ecosystem in the river system down here in the souther tier and I won't argue with anyone about data etc. I am not old enough to be a codger and even though I am old enough to see the changes, I can not say definitively that the changes are bad - just different. I won't euthenize a muskie if i catch it because if one thing is certain, it is more difficult to bring them back in the ecosystem then it is to take them out. I would like to catch a nice one for the wall but besides that I would rather catch walleye and even perch. It is so cool watchin them chase fish up on the rocks in the fall. I don't target them and I don't believe they should be clubbed on the head. As far as the original post... I have seen numerous fishing shows where they are handling the fish wrong and it is done mostly for a "look what I got moment." A lot of those fish are (likely) not recaught, they goto they bottom and die and few days later they are on a beach shore somewhere. I remember the thread. Some criticized and some had your back. People in general will always have strong feelings about those things they are passionate about. Criticism is ok as long as you are respectful and I believe you have everyone's respect. Joe

I cannot answer your initial question, but I can say that as soon as season starts the geese will head to the city limits (Check out above Bridge Street) and stay there. Ducks on the other hand, I still see moving through out the river. I am not your best option for Duck hunting advice since I have too little experience river hunting, but I fish it year round and that is what I am basing my opinion on. I am going to say a field with corn picked with close proximity to a waterway would be the best place to set up.

Go higher in the tree. Scent will be usually drift way above them. Add some stands. Move between them so the buck can not pattern you. I read a lot of good information. Wind is always first consideration when hunting deer when visibility is not. I like to pee on trees to mark my territory. Keeps canines away.

This is what I have heard as well. I have only seen one walleye in my time there (during the day) but I was bass fishing. They are tight lipped because they are walleye fisherman and that the lake has a narrow area of preferred walleye fishing. Yes, if you want to catch them - after dark. MHO: The alewive pop is not nearly as dense as it is on Conesus and I have not yet fished Otisco. This lake (habitat, fish) resembles closer to Honeoye - just smaller. Joe

I think as far as hobbies go, I made beer in my basement. I also gained weight. The real problem is going to be working on your relationship with your wife. I can count on one hand the number of date nights we had in a two year stretch. After a while most of your hobbies will be spectator at all of their events. As I see grey hair creeping in on my face and head, I know what happened to my parents. Get your Lifestyle fun in now - it will soon change forever. This will be the greatest thing you ever do. All of the other stuff fails in comparison. Don't screw it up! (no pressure) Congratulations, Joe
