  11. I'm thinking about spraying them with some automotive clear coat. What do you think les Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  12. I can't see any clear coat on them, usually you can see it in the holes at front and rear of the spoon. I think the plating is just too thin, you can see on the new one that the bronze color is showing thru the plating on the edges Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  13. Also, I purchased some 71's and 31' last year from them. They were old stock flutters, they did not loose their shine at all. And I've run them a lot. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  14. Nothing wrong with old school, if they started selling on the internet they would never rest. I don't blame them for not. As far as the plating goes it's outsourced from what I understand so as a business owner I know how that goes. My spoons are kept in a special mate box to hang dry. If they can't be put in cold water or have to be polished after every use than the plater needs to do a better job. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United The spoon after use will catch nothing but maybe some drifting weeds. I might add that the suttons I had cliff replate look perfect after each use. And the new sutton 44's I got in the heavy copper back did not do this either. Just the thin flutter I used. I'm going to check the rest of my flutters out next time out
  15. I tried cleaning it prior to posting, but thanks Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  16. Thanks les but I tried that before posting. It looks like the plating is literally coming off. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  17. Well, I got my batch of new 44's from sutton. I'm hoping this is an isolated event but the spoon on left is after 4 hrs of trolling with only 1 small land lock. The one on the right I haven't used yet. Seems to me they need to keep looking for another plater. I have 15 year old suttons that look better than the one I used for 4 hrs. Anyone else have this problem? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  21. Rough day on Seneca today, fished out of Sampson till 10am. 2 lakers is all we managed, south wind made if tough. Trailered to south end and trolled across south end and up the west side. After 2 hrs finally hit 2 salmon on 7 color. 15 min and got a nice brown on 3 color off one of the points. Donated 150' of downrigger cable, a 13lb ball and a band buster release to the lake gods. Thought I had 200' on rigger, lowered the ball to 150' and there she went! LOL! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  24. You would be fine with that set up and tattles. Slide divers or long leadcores would pull the flags down, to much drag. If you use too much snap weights it will also Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
