  1. Hey Nick, I tried those spoons yesterday and today. No takers but it was a slow bite this weekend.
  2. Thanks guys, I do run inline boards with leadcore as well. The wire dipsy thing is something I have been looking into, but not much room left in the boat for more holders also they intimidate me some haha. Hopefully, I will figure something out, it seems to be a productive setup.
  3. Great brown!
  4. So I guess I should start by thanking all of you for introducing me to cheaters. I started running them this year, and love it. Helped me take my first rainbows just last weekend on a MUP rig. My questions is, am I crazy for wanting to run multiple fixed cheaters on the same line? I'm limited to two only two downriggers and I'm not a huge fan of stacking thus why I'm asking. I fish the fingers, and it seems like a nice technique for locating fish. Thanks again for all the help
  5. Yup it was pretty beat up so I gave it the Milk cow pattern haha
  6. Some old spoons up for grabs. A mix of trolling and casting, some names include NK, evil eye, and silver streak. Also have one dodger new in the package, and a 11inch beechold flasher. Not sure if anyone will be interested but make an offer? I'm just looking to help stock someone's box. Thanks
  7. Can't say enough about the help I was given from all of you. I'm doing my best to return the favors!
  8. The green starcraft was us rusty. [ Post made via Android ]
  9. I run the 10 inch in the fingers with both flies and bait heads. Deadly...
  10. Had a great weekend on the water catching almost anything that swims. We started out trolling south Saturday morning at about 6:20AM. Wasn't long before our rigger rod starting jumping, turned out to be our first rainbow. He took a mupped SSW down 60ft or 100FOW. For a little guy he put on a show making several nice jumps and somersaults. Dropped one other fish on the FF rig, and called it quits by 8:30. Today was a much better fishing day for us, totaled 3 lakers and another rainbow! The riggers were parked at 96 and 76 both took fish. All the lakers came off the bottom on the SD fly rig. (BTW it's really awesome to watch to watch those streakers come out of no where then watch your rod fire simultaneously) Today's rainbow was about 16", a huge improvement over Saturdays. What blows my mind is that I've been fishing that lake for about a year and a half now, and haven't seen a single silver fish. Then we catch 2 in as many days miles apart from each other? Anyway, I wanted to thank all of you for your help, you made these fish possible and we do appreciate it. First bow, he's tiny but I'm proud of him. [/url The big boy! HA Kept this laker, hooked bad, and had someone else's treble down deep. Another average fish All lakers from 22"-28"
  11. I have a few questions about running copper. I'm thinking about picking one up... 1. Can a church walleye board pull a 300+ ft cooper rig. 2. What do you recommend for a reel. 3. What do you do for backing. Thanks, Alex
  12. I like the suggestion Tex thank you, I'm going to pick up some flea flicker this weekend and go for it. I always fish flouro leaders anyway so it won't be much different. I appreciate it guys, thanks.
  13. Thanks for the info Mike, I will have to pick up some FF, I just hate fishing with heavy line rated for 5 or 6X the weight of the fish we're catching.
  14. Fished Owasco this weekend as usual with my father. We went 3 for 5 or 6 in about 4 hours of trolling between Saturday morning and Sunday morning. All lakers down 90+ in 110-140 FOW. Nothing of any size, but hooked one fish that would have been a treat to see... I was convinced I snagged the bottom until I felt a shake and he was gone. (Perhaps he was fool hooked?) Anyway, back to the catch of the day. THE FLEAS, it's our own fault and we know it but fishing with lighter line is what we know. We actually had one rigger rod fire because of the extra drag from the fleas. (see below) This weekend the 20lb is getting put on even though it pains me to say it. Overall, a great trip saw some nice streakers on the graph, hooking them on baits I painted was totally awesome. For reference the net handle is 48 inches. My first attempt at painting my own spoons both took fish! SD/ fly combo took all the hits today, also painted with the airbrush. Not my best work Owasco sunset
  15. Do you have a picture of your rig sounds very interesting.
  16. I have the cabelas DM series reels also. They work well, the only thing I'm not crazy about is the drag on them.
  17. WOW really awesome.
  18. I saw decent numbers of Cohos in the limited amount trib fishing I did last fall. Landed one had several break the leader.
  19. Anyone know about how much a clutch cone repair should cost at a marina?
  20. I was out Saturday, had the lines down for 45 minutes. We hand lined every rod... and had a good 18 inches of fleas on the rigger rods. If your going to troll splice in some serious mono or flea flicker. I switched to jigging for the season.
  21. You Finally made it out! My dad had a big rainbow get off at the side of the boat last weekend. Let me know if you'll be out again this weekend.
