crumcake1223 replied to TOP SECRET's topic in Open Lake Discussion
i have tried to contact all the news channles for around here trying to get them to do a little something great for once other than some crack heads shooting eachother up for there shoe's but i have heard nothing back. i sent them all a link to here so they could see first hand what we are doing and still no responce!!! i say if we all start bugging the p!ss out of them they might get the hint. personaly i have a camra for the boat and colleen is going to bring one so there can be pitchers taken from the peir as well. im hopein that i can share my email with others and pass pix around so we could have one kick @$$ album. -
she could lay on the bow wile you drive around. never tried moochin but my brothers and i have talked about it in great depth and still we wonder what if??? never had a reason to try it but if she wants to just float around it might be worth a try at least once.as for the 3rd rigger we fish out of a 18tf penn. with 2 riggers,4 dipsy's, and 2 300tf coppers off planer boards. if you have the room and want to blow the cash but have an extra just incase i say have at it but with wire and a dipsy you can get to 100ft down and way away from the boat. and theres more room right at the back of the boatfor working fish and less for them to tangle. money better spent on a depth probe. but hey thats just my 2 cents tight lines to you and hopefuly not too cold of a couch

first id like to say great job to all that fished the pro/am and the open!!!! this weekend had to be with out a doubt the hardest 2 days ive spent on the lake sence april and thats no joke. we went from 27# kings all day to huntting like a fool till the last min. 2nd id like to say thanks to put the raffle together for the open now i got a real question for the pro's--- i got 2 down riggers( and lets face it, it doesnt matter what they are other than the fact they get your stuff down deep for the sake of this arguement) 4 dipsy rods 2 300ft copper and i lost track of rods( some where around 20) a fish hawk 4x fish finder($1000 range) flashers, flies, and lets say for a # a s@%t load of lures. in a 18 ft penn yann no with that said what makes a pro team just that a pro team??? is it just the fact that we have been doing this for 3 years peaced together and are just now figuring out that theres a ton of fun doing this??? we are truly looking for some light on this subject and maybe others are to thanks in advance john crum, dipsy ranger

You can weigh the fish for both....but, If you want to weigh it as soon as you catch it before it loses a few ounces you gotta pull lines and head in to a weigh station. That fish weighed 30 lbs 14 oz at 7:30 am but weighed only 30 lbs 10 oz. We used it for both the LOC and the tournament. Many times 4 ounces makes a huge difference in what place you come in so you want to weigh it as soon as possible for the LOC. thanks i wasnt sure

Fishing Help Needed
crumcake1223 replied to Tanner25's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
dipsys are a great thing to have but not on mono. theres to much strech in it. i fish near sodus point and right now 25+ kings are killing guys arms for a great time of fishing. i run mag size spoons and have been having no trouble hooking up. my brothers and i have been around 130 ft of water useing lots of greens and spin doctors. yesterday there was a break in the water temp around 50' over 100 and hit the biggest king i ever put in the boat at 28.04 off a black spindoctor with glow tape and green dots with a nuke green fly off the rigger ( cheaper than getting a dipsy rig with steel line, the right reel, and then you get to buy lots of dipsy divers and flashers and flies) i hope this helps and if if i can help anymore plz let me know great luck and tight lines -
yeah thats hat get a way said yesterday in viewtopic.php?f=52&t=33645 i agree that is nuts that you dont get it back. i say at least put it up next year you know. lets just hope for good weather
