  1. I can't wait to hear more about this because I am in the market for a new one this season!
  2. I usually run sticks off of the boards and the spoons off of down riggers. You can run spoons off of the boards but like you said you should run a split shot 3'-4' in front of the spoon.
  3. The Pro Troller looks really cool and I like the idea of getting on plane faster and it stops porpoising but I'm not sure if I would be able to reach them to use them. I can't use a kicker on my transom so that won't work. I use 2 large bags now, how much worse would the gas consumption be with a plate?
  4. Does anyone use them? What do you think about them, pros and cons? I also just noticed the Nauticus Smart Tabs - ProTroller Series, anyone use these? I have a 17' aluminum boat with a 90 hp motor. I can't troll under 3 mph without the trolling bags but they are a pain in the butt when out trolling alone. Thanks in advance!! 5. The striped Smithwick was our best stick also followed by the silver side black top orange bottom Smithwick. Our best spoons were chartuse Alpena Diamond and MS Coyote. Good luck! GG
  6. Congrats on your new addition and the site looks great!!
  7. I use the Blue Diamonds also and I have 20s for Brown Trout & 30s for Salmon. I also use 45s on my dipsy rods. You can't go wrong with these set ups. Good Luck! GG

  10. Hi - Did you get more led? I would like to buy 2 torpedos. If you are still making them please send me your payment info to [email protected] Thanks!!!! Gregg
  11. I am buying 115 old spoons I found on another site, they are a mix of Honeybee's, Alpena Diamonds, Andy Reekers and Suttons. Do you think I am over paying at $2.50 each? They are in good shape although the Alpena's are showing some wear. What do you think? Thanks! [ Post made via Android ]
  12. I was going to buy a bunch of A-Tom-Mik flies but I'm not sure if I should go with the rattle or eChip. I have some eChip flashers so I don't know if I should buy the flies with eChip. Anyway what is your preference, eChip or Rattle?? Thanks Gregg
  13. You can buy one here http://www.fish307.com/michiganstingerspoons-309tropicalthunderglownewfor2009.aspx
  14. Yup, I just heard back from Big Jon and they said 12lb is max. Thanks guys!! GG
  15. Dam I was hoping they would handle more than 9lbs. The guy I bought mine from said he used 12.5 lb torpedoes but before I ordered a couple I wanted to make sure. I also have an email in to Big Jon, I'll let you know what they say. GG
  16. Thanks BS. Yes, I fish them in NJ, we have a 2 or 3 lakes that hold some really nice hybrids. The problem is that everyone that fishes those lakes are so tight lipped that no one will help you. I don't need spots just basic info. I'm sure I will figure it out! Thanks!
  17. Does anyone know the max ball weight for electric Big Jon Captain Packs? I looked all over their website and couldn't find anything. I bought them used so I don't have the user's manual either. Thanks GG
  18. I do a lot of striper fishing with bait but I want to try trolling, mainly at night. I have a ton of salmon and trout trolling gear and I assume I can use most of my stick baits. So here's the questions, 1 - What speed do you troll? 2 - Do they hit spoons, day/night? 3 - How far behind the boat should I run the lures? Any other tips would be appreciated! 19. What about cleaning old spoons that are painted? I just pick up a bunch of Alpena Diamonds that are in pretty rough shape. Thanks!
