I've had the same problem. Even caught a laker off a lead core where the fish hawk read 73 deg water. Unreal.

Does the head unit have the cable with it?

Where are you located?

This boat is an outstanding and clean Multi-species rig.  From trolling on the Finger lakes, Ontario and Erie to chasing panfish, it can do it all.  Also a great family boat to pull the kids on a tube or skis.

This boat 17'10 long and has a 94" beam, has the 2XB hull and is powered by 115 E-tec. It has a 38 gallon fuel tank, 2 lighted live wells and lots of storage; including an eight tube rod locker and two battery storage compartment in the bow. This is a very stable and safe platform that tops out at 35 mph.  The boat sits on a '08 Shorelander trailer with spare tire, surge brakes, boat buckles and a swing away tongue. Tires were new last year.

Lowrance LMS-522c-iGPS fish finder that is hooked up to a transducer switch at the helm that can change between the stern transducer or hook up to a bow mount trolling motor as well.

I'm getting ready to sell my alumacraft dominator 175 sport.  Its a 2008 and it has a back casting deck.

For those of u that drift harnesses what size and style blade do you have the best luck with?

Thanks Brian. I have trolled for eyes on Erie so I think I have most of the gear, just not sure about stick bait patterns etc... perch, gizzard shad, and goby would be a few guesses I would probably try?  My in lines are the older ones so they do not have the spring loaded strike indicator flags so small fish that hang on can be a pain at times.  We also seemed to do better on Erie with a faster troll. Seemed to be less bycatch.  Some days we ran up to 3.0 on the GPS. 

I've never trolled on Onieda. I have jigged but would like to possibly troll.  What would be a good starting point as far as stickbait styles and colors?  You guys run leadcore, snap weights, jet divers?

What was the water temp?

Does troutman 87 make small weights as well? Like 1 oz pencil style?

I got bit by a lone star tick 2 years ago and ended up with Ehrlichiosis and acute mono at the same time. Sucks bad.

What's in the bow under the cover? Livewell? Storage?

We can rant all we want to vent our frustration.  When you start to take it out on each other it defeats the purpose.  We all know the only way to see a possibility of change is to write to your local legislator and voice your opinion.  Obviously, it won't be an immediate change but if enough voices are heard then there is a possibility of change.  Then it is up to us to police ourselves and social distance at the launch and not make a huge deal about it.  Its not an easy fix.  Fight through it and persevere.
