  1. I just replaced the lower unit on my 250 Yamaha with one I purchased from SEI $1295 with a three year warranty. So far no issues with it. Less than half of what a Yamaha unit would cost.
  2. Should keep the current program in place. Nice for people to go out, set some rods and catch some kings. At the same time introduce some fish that have the potential to get big and not spawn after two or three years. Be nice to know there are still some monsters out there.
  3. I’m an outboard guy primarily because of the boat I run. In the class you are talking about inboards are in my opinion the way to go for Great Lakes trolling. Clean transom for netting and an open deck for fishing. Just make sure what your boat will draft is comparable with the channel depth of the port you’ll be docked at.
  4. Year and shaft length?
  5. Great job Manny!
  6. Numbers of kings is off the charts. Number of quality kings and steelhead is disappointing.
  7. Less charters out today than then. Less rec guys too.
  8. 16 of the top 20 fish in the Fall 2001 Derby were over 40lbs. Back then mid 20’s to upper 20’s were the norm. I for one miss those fish. It’s not like the number of fish caught were much less than today either. I for one believe genetics are the reason.
  9. Boom!
  10. My son Tommy and a friend caught a few as well.
  11. Rigged will ship it to your door.
  12. Funny thing though is boats have gone in and out since they pulled out the railroad tracks (or at least parts of them lol). The local options are limited.
  13. Pretty sure Braddocks isn’t considered a navigable waterway hence it falls on the marina owners, Gibbs and Danielleys to keep it open.
  14. Not surprised, great job Mike! When you produce year after year it’s no accident.
  15. My son Tommy and a couple friends are hunting Michigan this weekend. Had a great hunt this morning.
  16. Hug the west side of the channel both in and out. Few spots are about two feet. Really not much different than the norm.
  17. Absolutely
  18. Good luck guys!
  19. What’s that?
  20. That’s awesome!
