Less than 100 feet. Bottom half of the water column.

Probably nothing, it was slow yesterday in the inside water. We only did three for four and it was slow for the other boats I talked to as well.

Didn't fish today but drove to lease properties to cut shooting lanes and it looked like the lake flipped. Along the Parkway the temp was 67 with fog and a NE wind. Wish I wasn't working in the Am, great day for browns in tight as well as a big black surprise King. Good luck guys.

I bet there is a link on this site that answers your question.

Good for you!!!!!!

Don't be afraid to fish the bottom ten feet between 60 and 80. 1.8 to 2.2 with mags. Going to be browns in there and there's a good chance the King your looking for could care less about temp.

rough and temp down deep, like adding insult to injury

NW wind does that every time. 200 to 300 should be the place to start for a day or two.

Pretty dead. Some fish being caught in 450. Five hours trolling between 100 and 300 and only two small fish. Ugly water here , no pearl essence to it. Oh well, boats running well and it's a nice day on the water.

Sandy still isn't set up. Temps all over the board. One minute it's 45 and the next it's 55.

What line are you running on your riggers? What braid are you running on your dipsy's?
I run 30 LB mono with a 20lb fluorocarbon leader on the riggers and 80lb braid on my slide divers and the flea problem is annoying but manageable.

I will be out of Sandy in the AM and set up by about 730. Call Whaler 1 on channel 72 and I will give you down temp as well as current info.

Is there a dedicated radio channel or just the normal. 72?

Things have been changing daily. Yesterday 50 degrees was down 35 feet but my guess is the nw wind blew in warm water. I would start my spread 30 to 60 down over 80 and go from there.

Where you find 60 degree water on the bottom you should find browns. Troll slow, 1.8 to 2.2 with longer leads, 30 to 50 feet. NK mags and evil eyes produce best for me. Light leaders behind barrel swivels. Nothing better than Brown Trout. The TRUE kings of the lake.

Welcome. I use spinning tackle, for me a 9 foot med action rod with 8lb fluorocarbon line. I cast little Cleo spoons and have had some great nights. If you have a second rod I would have a large floating egg sack fished behind an egg sinker. For me, light west and south winds are best. Good luck.
