Really a pretty cool fish. Caught one in Braddoks a couple years back in May on a beetlespin that was almost 12 lbs.

Or even the world. Good post!

No voting necessary. It is the fish of the year. Don't tell me I'm bias either
Its is for sure so far. Not many Bows and Browns caught each year over 20 and at that point every additional pound is exponentially tougher. Kings over 40 are getting more rare every year as well. Special fish for sure!

Doesnt get any better than that!

My vote for fish of the year, I guess we will have to wait and see. Congrats

Why would they have suspended the search?

What depth of water were you working?

Good for you Matt. Hope you had a "trip". That kind of day makes for a lot of repeats and referrals.

Starts right up and runs perfect. After about 15 to 30 minutes it shuts off like you turned off the key. For the next ten minutes you turn the key and it starts up and dies. Again and again and again. After fifteen to twenty times she fires and runs and never quits again for the rest of the trip. Swear at that point she would troll to china. Air, spark or fuel? Have tried all but again I just fire the main till she's back online and she is good for the rest of the day. Have had some pretty good techs check it out but so far nothing has fixed it.

Great morning out of Sandy. Good temp and pearl green water in 15ft. Action all morning with browns, small kings and a nice bow. Lost a big fish that broke off a j9. Chartreuse Rapalas off the boards and black and silver. 28's off the riggers. The rains made for a great mudline east although west of the creek had great color as well.

By Memorial Day it should be just like Easter normally is.

Proof is in the pudding. Probably not many others fishing that water but it makes perfect sense. Nice to see sandy out fish the western end.

Captains also fish for their living and in many cases pay their mates. Let them know you will work for tips or even split the tip with the captain. If you are personable, can drive, and are good with people Im sure someone will help you out. Get your name and number out there and let people know you can work with little or no notice.

My daughter (15) shot a nice longbeard at first light this morning. My middle son (16) did all the calling. Great morning, sent a pic to Legacy, hoping he will post it for me.

Can't beat that! Go get em.

Good luck to all going out with their kids in the morning. Always a fun morning.

Sure, no reason not to. Depending on the depth your working and your lead lengths adding a little weight will put that lure in a different spot than one without.

Slide divers are the only dipsys I run. Good supply at gander mountain. As far as I'm concerned slide divers are to dipsys what spin drs are to dodgers, the perfect replacement.

twenty years ago my mom and dad were cod fishing stellwagen bank. Jigging with 36oz norwegian jigs and my dad caught "bottom". Bottom started to move. Ended up with a 136lb Halibut. Had a hell of a time getting it in the boat. Used to love the early season fishing growing up in Mass. Big cod, Wolffish, Mackeral etc. Fond memories.

That's the biggest one I have seen! Must have thought you had a slob on. Always a little disappointing when you see what's at the end of the line.
