  1. Welcome aboard Jack
  2. Spin Dr’s are easy to run. If you are running two downriggers and two dypsy’s I would run a Spin Dr on my deep rigger and a spoon on the other rigger a little higher up. I would do the same on your dypsy rods.
  3. Over bait with the assistance of a cellular trailcam. Number4 buckshot?
  4. That’s some spooky stuff. Great pics!
  5. Less than 2 feet just south of the northernmost white channel markers. worse than that is guys are hitting something solid on the run from both Westpoint Marina and Gibbs on the west side of the bay including myself. I don’t go above 5 mph until I’m outside the mouth and before I go on plane I hit reverse and give it a shot to get rid of all the weeds. Bay is a minefield right now but based on water level it’s to be expected. Really cool you guys got that fish, big guys have been few and far between. Skippers however are way too plentiful lol. That east wind yesterday afternoon coupled with the heavy south wind this morning kind of blew the warm water out. 56 degrees down 42 over 60 early this afternoon. Hoping the morning is fishable before Wednesday’s blow. IMO it makes the inside even more appealing. Again, congratulations on a great fish.
  6. Braddocks couple weeks ago in 70 degree water in tight. Was supposed to be a Brown.
  7. Kings are mixed in with the Browns now. you’d be surprised how many big Kings are caught out of temp this time of year.
  8. Look for where 60 degree water meets the bottom. Fish one rod five feet ish above that and another up another ten. If in 50 feet of depth or more run 20 foot leads. In my opinion mag spoons work best this time of year and you won’t catch as many skipper kings. 1.8 to 2.5 MPH. Take your time and cover some water. Don’t be afraid to go a little deeper or a little shallower. Good luck!
  9. RiggedSFC. On this site, shoot Nick a pm.
  10. Lots of people just don’t know any better. At least half give a friendly wave as they speed by.
  11. Lines in at 730 in 70 feet of water. 60 degree water down 65. Riggers at 55 and 65, dypsy rods at 150 and 180. Fished till 1230 and couldn’t buy a Brown. 7 Kings landed but 5 were skips and the other 2 were low teens. Could only troll west, couldn’t get under 3.4 going east. Zero fleas. Back out in the morning, going to fish 100 ish water and try for Kings.
  12. One off Cowsucker today too
  13. Thanks again Nick, as always looks amazing.
  14. Couple miles west of Redman Rd on the south side of the rd. Great store, great selection. Definitely worth checking out.
  15. Always look forward to, kind of like deer season. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out, the weather, and as always the big fish that come every year.
  16. Use your cell phone. Either a bright screensaver or worst case it’s flashlight.
  17. Quality product, quality seller.
  18. No guests on my boat, only family and friends. My reluctance to work fish is primarily based on Ricks ability with the net!
  19. Kings are moving out of temp. Ricks fish came out of water that was probably close to 70 degrees which is why it’s turning dark. My king came out of 45 degrees and is still silver. This time of year and here forward they can be anywhere. If you have bait and hooks fish the hooks. Don’t leave fish to find fish. Inside has held fish and will continue to.
  20. People give up on the inside way too quickly. Most days I have it all to myself.
