High octane pump gas containing ethanol will take care of your issue.
Ideally half a tank or so on top of what’s in your tank. Burn through it and return to non ethanol marine fuel.
Wife and daughter wanted to take a quick boat ride and I was curious to see what temps looked like inside. Decided to drop in 120 and put two rods down.
95 down I had 48 degrees and was pulling a Spin Dr fly. 85 down was 60 pulling an NK28.
Five minutes in the deep rod fired with a nice King. While I was reviving the king off the side of the boat the other rod fires with a small king. Would have wanted to keep fishing but was overruled lol.
Inside looked good. Plenty of bait and marks. Hoping to get out in the morning and spend a few hours.
Was hoping to look for Browns in the morning and had a little time to check temps this afternoon.
Northwest wind blew in a bunch of crap warm water.
74 surface in 100 and 73 100 down.
Slid out to 200 and still warm down.
Took a friend and his two young sons out at 6. Set up in 150 at 630 and headed northwest. Yesterday’s north east wind blew in some cold water, 50 degrees was down 50. Spin Dr down 50, mag spoon down 40. Went 3 for 4 and headed back around 9. Dipsy rods never took a hit. Current and fleas were a pain but manageable. Kids had a ball.
No Lampreys no lakers!
I’m heading out a little east of you but not much. Hard to say what the wind blew in temp wise.
Im setting in 100, finding 50 ish down and working north west. See what I come across.
Lake is about 6 miles long. Crazy thing is it has a good population of Alewives.
Bass, Tigers, Browns and Walleye grow crazy big there. Not the easiest lake to pattern but there is always the chance at a monster. That Tiger was probably 8 lbs and 32 inches. Just guessing. Lake holds Tigers that are 30lbs.
Some day lol.
Spent the day with Justin Okrepki on Otisco today. I fish with him a couple times or more every year. As always it was awesome. I can’t say more about that lake and the opportunities it offers.
Justin is all in when it comes to fishing and I love watching him work. If you want a change of pace, a day on the lake with him is a great value and always fun. He has an RV on site to stay in which is a huge plus if you’re taking the drive. Highly recommend.
