  1. thats how it was out of mexico yesterday. was hoping it was a one day thing
  2. we fished out of Mexico yesterday and didnt move a rod. Fished anywhere from 110-200 fow. All the go to lures failed. I dont know where the fish went?? We saw boats inside in REALLY shallow water (40-50) and then a few out with us. Sounds like the fishing is better in Sodus.
  3. Fished Mexico today 7/20 finally being able to get out after all the wind. Fished 330-645pm and got 0 hits with 7 rods out. Cores, riggers and divers all failed. Went anywhere from 120-200 fow. And used everything we could, easily tryed 15+ different spoons as well as a few FF. What happened? Where did the fish go? Our worst outing to date not even a hit! Didn't mark many arcs and marked even less bait. Saw a few other boats out as well, talked to one guy at the launch who also didnt budge a rod.
  4. call ALL Seasons. Bet they'd stay open for ya. And awesome selection of mag spoons/flys everything you need.
  5. At the oak webpage says to 'jerk the line clipping to it into place.' I have tried this and it seems the rig would still slide on the line. By jerking it you form a loop on the inside of the add-a-line guides. This loop isn't really locked and more line can slide into it making the loop bigger. Must be doing something wrong
  6. Finally found some of the add-a-lines. Should I run 1 MUP off each rigger, or just one total?
  7. thanks for the responses guys. We have definitely been using the boards wrong keeping the pole high. And yes we have gotten the board wrapped in all kinds of other lines on the way in... not fun. We are running them with 10 and 12 colors cores and sometimes dive bombs.
  8. The board works great, pulls hard gets the line away from the boat (even with full cores) until the fish strikes. If its a small fish you can't tell and you have a rider until you check the line. But if you get a big fish the board dives and causes horrible drag, plus it spins. We have been rigging with the release tension high so it does not trip. Is it better to have the board release or is there another trick to it? Id say we lost 75% or more of the strikes because the board is such a pain to reel in. When it dives the fish usually gets slack and gets free but we can't even tell its off until we get the board unclipped.
  9. I have a 16 ft sea nymph with trailer in good shape. One soft spot in floor and has a 40 hp suzuki.
