On my last trip fishing I got my rigger cable and of course my probe and torpedo tangled in a floating tree 42ft down. I backed up till my rigger cable was strait down and down scan showed it all.!!! I'm done, I'm not that good of a diver so the only option was cut the cableππ since then I thought I had everything but not all. Im looking for the weight break away cable. Fish USA is out of stock. I could make one but I dont know what the poundage is. I'd rather have a factory one. Maybe someone has a spare they'd be willing to sell??? Thanks for any helpπ€π€ PAP
Yea buddy that looks impressive for sure!! I can attest that using a slow death hook on these riggs simply walleyes cant resist!!! Must add a good swivel in between the main line and rig as the whole shyt & kaboodle must spin not just the beatle spins themselves!!!π€π€
The closer you can get yourself to the migration route that leads to the Bay of Quinte the better off you'll be but I'm not sure this has started yet due to temps. If your not really familiar with this I wouldn't spend a lot of time on them. When there's so many other things going on. This pic was from last year, over 10#'s looking for 12#+
Absolutely Whaler!!!
The young guys look super proud of their catch and I'm almost positive that dad feels the same!! It's that OOH SO HUMBLING FEELING when the passion of your own can be shared with your childrenππππ
What powers this beautiful vessel and of course the outdrive?? Is it a Merc??? If so how many hrs are on it, not that it matters I have Merc. Blocks heads you name it but I can get a idea how the rest is going to be. Thanks for any info!! I'm pretty interested. To your best knowledge what would you say the transom shape is in and or other areas that might have water intrusion?? Thanks for heads up on this boat... AKA PAP.
Thats to funny Justin!!! Yeah mans best friend surely shines bright in this awesome thread!! I to had to put my beagle down not long after my father in law passed one. Those 2 went everywhere. The vets told me this isnt uncommon when the pet is close to the one that passed on. I also said NO more pets, the household was turned upside down. Grandpa passed away and 8 months later the dog got very sick and his way of life would have been terrible. Not fair how things go sometimes, but a year later we got a pup from one of my buddies that still run dogs. Ollie is definitely my dog and I'm the na sayer to the dog
This is one of the best reads on here in long time!! Congrats to all that have taken the time to see the wild wonders that the ADK'S have to offer. Ive been fishing the Oswegotchie river the last couple of years as we put a camp together on the paper mill properties. I dont see a person other than the guys who go with. Like mentioned so many waters to fish!!!
The bait ball we ran through this year in the NE was insane I've never saw in my life so big of bait balls varing from 30ft to 130ft with absolutely not a predator fish to be seen. Of course this was when the ice water from the north blow was in from 20ft -150ft was 42* This was a 9 day trip in June. July fish were in the bays by thousands of course with lock jaw super size to them what they were?? We threw everything at them finally foul hook a atlantic was that what was there??? Some eyes and lakers and browns were what we could dredge up from predawn to daylight that was it. After that it was pike and smallies.
I know how frustrating things can be at times, especially if you know in your mind you can do the job but the body or time won't!!! So sorry to hear of your rape and pillage that the so called "Technician" looked at your engine/motor. I especially like the comment that maybe the shop you took your motor to was to "High Tech" for your old school motorππ.. Or you just masked a problem that will come back to haunt you somewhere down the road since you fixed the fuel pressure issue. There's a code of relativity with and combustion engine from model air planes to top Fuel drag motors which we won't get into but with the knowledge you stored in your mind I'm thinking you knew what the issue was but to get at it and or time you knew it was a quick fix. Good Lord things just keep getting better!! Hats off to the quick repair and now you shouldn't need near the throttle to get to your hot spot as your wallet weighs considerably lessππ not funny for those of us who are mindful of our spending.π€π€
I just installed the PYTHON Steering and the I Troll!! I cant believe how much this has changed our steering plus the different patterns set up in the ITroll has made my boat able to make big S turns speed up slow down aith more idle control at your finger tips with a more precise speed adj ay the ball. Now 3-4 guys can fish instead of one having to steer the boat manually esp. If you have power steering.
All we found was 43* temp from 30ft to 141* all over didnt want to make the run to the lane with only one rigger and no probe. Ive got a set of marlin series and a set of mag 20's I guess i have to pension my mag 10's never left me down and more my speed!! SLOOOW. LOL
We launched put of there Monday, best launch we found cor not needing hip boots. Today we went out of Henderson not bad but got wet feet with knee high boots on. Wasn't bytching as it was a hot one today. LOL
