Pretty cool to see that mud puppy, and yes there are walleyes in the river. Prof. T and Kevin aren't making the river eyes up to make themselves look like the great RIver Eye Guys LOL. Super video very interesting content in that peice of footage!!! Just being funny no harm ment in any form!! Looking foreword to the posts from Prof. T and Kevin Legg this year. Maybe with the boundaries gone it will make fishing the river a little less stressful??!!!

looks can be deceiving. Amazing what a little elbow grease can do.

I don't think that the one boat in the pics is the same, look at the pic with the new canopy then look at the pic from the transom front, not the same motor, I had a 88spl the one in the pic with the new canvas is either polished like hell or it isn't a 88spl I don't remember the sides as strait as it looks in the new canvas pic the color stripe wasn't that blue, they were grey. I might be wrong?? But 6 bills is way to much for that clubbed together thing.

I would take everything that was said seriously, only because I've been there, meaning for years I owned a 18 foot Troller powered by a Evinrude 88SPL deep V boat. Troller was made in Erie for Lake Erie, out there I got lots of compliments, this boat handled waves very well, but I spent many a day's watching the 20'+ rumble out the shoot where there's no way in hell this 18fter was going to handle what Mother Nature was going to throw at her, I sold that boat and bought a 22ft cuddy Sea Ray, with an I/0 350 Mercrusier boat handles LakeO well. I don't know, if I would ever go the inboard way again, lots of moving parts that need to be spot on in order for it to be mechanically sound, from the shift handle to the out drive. Seems to me these newer outboards have all the bells and whistles, right down to trolling speed.

The latest and greatest from ProKing for 2017

X200, this man had hopscotch threw the big wigs flower gardens to put a second to none product together. I might have been the first guy on his bandwagon, not sure but have just about all his colors. One more note he used his "OWN" money to kick off his buisness. That's what the bigger companies don't see and don't care. You got my buisness Gambler Riggs!! -
Yep I did exactly like Rolmops I just framed a square box with Sheetrock screws then cut that silver sided 1/2" insulation glued and stapled the pieces on the inside. Then I used outdoor deck stain, put 3 coats on. One thing to do is put an edge around the top. That way you won't be picking up everything you lay on the top off the floor. I just put a 1/2X1/2 inch border around the box including against the back. That acts like my stop, used the same floor latches. Finally I drilled holes ever few feet for the water to run out, used 3/16" bit I even sloped the front back to add a little bit of looks.

How or what did you do to make the hole that low on the transom water proof. I see now you have a wash down so your in line with the scuppers. I have the excact same swim platform. Did you mount the kicker in the middle so you don't get the lean to one side? How do you steer the boat then, I don't know of any arms that work vertical?? -
I'v was born lefty and as a baby (1966) my strong German background family except my dad, he was Pennsylvania Dutch, everything I did with my left they put my toys in my right hand. I'll never forget my 3rd grade teacher, if you wrote with your left hand you got a smack with the ruler as she walked through the classroom. Later in life I found out that this type behavior by my elders screwed with my brain. It's called cross channeling. Trust me that isn't the only reason I'm a few cans shy of a six pack. BUT when the company we all know so well for fishing reels, Shimano came out with the ambidextrous fishing reel, the reel I loved to use was the spirex 2000, that reel I litterly wore out. They made it so the quick fire was useable also. I still have a 2000 & 4000. After I got into trolling I didn't notice the the right handed retrieve to be that much of a pita. One thing for sure they don't give us south paw guys much consideration??.

Yea that is a great price and the best of the best!! I'm not looking for that elaborate of a machine, I have no place for a second handle, that it would be easy to operate. To buy this and strip it from the controller would be senseless. When there's someone looking for such an outfit. great price guys!! Your getting a lot of bang for your buck here!! -

When you say remote controls, what do the remotes control? The trim. What type of start up is it, meaning pull start or does it have a starter on it, any idea how many hrs are on the motor. As much as it goes against my grain I have to admit they build excellent motors, even the overhead valve motors made in the states, aren't as good as those oriental motors. All my uncles and my brother was in buisnes for themselves and they all tried the US. Made motors, side by side they all ended up with the Honda's. How does the motor work?. One more question how much does it weigh, I run my Evinrude off my swim platform. I doubled up on all the brackets, I can walk around on it as I do and its pretty damn stable. I made a swim platform bracket like the Adventure marine platform bracket. I was pleased with the outcome!! I'm also going to have my auxiliary steer arm EZ steer for steering. Does the motor have the tiller arm on it yet!! Sorry for all the questions but I'm very interested. I still have to remember it's 11 years old. PAP!! -
Dave Kaboom Nitro Shiners (shallows)
Xxx replied to nijajordan's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Folks these lures are awesome!! At $4.00 a piece you can't beat them. I've bought over 20 of these lures over the whole time. I bought all different colors so if a few get bit more than others I'll double or triple up on. I did swim a couple of these lures they have a nice long wiggle slow and a nice wiggle to them at faster speeds, it seems to me these Kaboom lures are very speed tolerable and seem to keep their composure at high speeds also. -
That's exactly what I did. I put the back light for the deck upside down lights the back up plus the rods in the holders also. On each side shining on my boards that I put that DOT reflective tape and 2 foreward for driving lights, 2 million candle power. Good luck on your light prodject!! Send som pics.

My uncle runs a older merc. Supposed to be 50:1 used to foul plugs running "Mercury Syntech" the plugs for this motor are very expensive, he tried the TCW-3 from cabelas and has the same plugs going on 3 years now. He just has me set the gap every year, I personally think he's just cleaning out the threads every year, they are perfect color nice brown color and nothing on the grounding electrodes. Now for my older kicker motor 15hp Evinrude I use Amsoil 100:1 full synthetic oil. Troll all day on 3 half gallons of gas. I started using this oil in the early 80's on our Canadian trips, I mixed my own up there, I'd have to buy their gas I added my own oil, with 1 quart I ran all week. If you bought their oil. Ouch and they just pour it in. By the end of a week they had you for at least 2 quarts, a hand full of plugs and lost fishing time running 10 miles on 1 cylinder.

I put 2 4"X 4" led lights on my bar that shines down into the back its like day time. I used lights from tractor supply basically they are outdoor lights for farm eguipment, so they will take the punishment of the lake condition. I don't have any pics but the work sweet and hardly draw any juice from the batteries. I also added driving lights, all are on a differant switch, those lights are like 4 wheel off road lights. Again I don't have any pics. Sorry. Basically the same ordeal as the above poster.

That's just it BoB, it's not that simple on mine, I have to unbolt my P/S bracket, which who ever thought of that set up should have to do it twice a day everyday. Then you need to take a part of the floor up remove the water hose from the P/S cooler, now stand on you head to reach the drain. This year I'm going to put a fitting in the block which accepts a 3/8 OD, hose and I'm going to put a clamp on there and the valve in the end of the hose that I can reach from the port side, to eliminate have to go through all this. I thought I always wanted a I/O but I'm pretty convinced there will be at least 350hp behind me whether it 1 or 2 power plants, should I ever have the chance in this lifetime?? We are never satisfied all I ever had as a younger lad was outboards, very limited problems, since my ego I'm the man, I need to hear that brute HP and the male enhanced sound of V8 power, my boat has more miles on the trailer than the water since I made this decision!!! Had I known that the 4 stroke world was going to evolve into that great machines they are, I would have waited it out. But after Mother Nature had me sitting at the dock more than fishing my dreams of big waters for eyes and big silvers. It doesn't take much to please me, I'm not made of money and I certainly respect those that are more fortunate than I to have all the bells and whistles. With the money I have in tackle, spoons, sonars you name it, I could go on a charter every other week for the whole season. Maybe even more??

Yea, guys I didn't really know what to do about this, should I say something, should I just keep it to myself, not to be a prick, but I took some heat on subjects such as. I know people have used this theory for years, and I get if you still continue going this rout. I have a 18ft run about that I take the kids tubing or skiing, it has a 3.0 in it 2 drain plugs and your done, honestly guys I thought this was a bullet proof way to rid the cooling system of water at those hard to get at areas. I used to just drain the whole system and blow all the water out. It's been since I joined this site and most guys were using this methood. I'm going back to the old school ways.

I agree Jim, I have my beagle running around the kids, every year we winterize our oun trailers, and never had issues with the pink. The water in the campground is so chlorinated you can't even make a good pot of coffee in the morning. We bring water or buy at Wally World when we stock up on goodies. Meanwhile rebuilding my motor took a lot of my time up. I need to fix a cannon mag 20, make plates up to mount my rod tree I bought off reeldeal, this winter and like I said my one rigger is much slower than the other, so we will see once we get inside this bad girl. I hope it's pretty straight foreword.

You must be able to drain your motor better than I, I thought this was a sure fire way to rid the water i can't get to with out pulling the whole side apart on my starboard side, the power steering cooler hose that run to the lower unit pump and my water pump hose, I drained the water pump?? I'm going to put a fitting in the block and run a 3/8 hose and a valve in the end of my hose and blow the water out of my power steering cooler and pull my water pump hose, and just drain the block anymore. The reasons they don't recommend putting it in the block is for reasons such as mine. Then their not at fault!!!
