If your going to run batteries up front, I'd go with agm batteries, but hold on to your hat when you go to the cashier. I run two yellow tops they are start/trolling batteries. I have them mounted just before the cuddy starts. There's a little cabinet/makeshift type sink, I use these to run electronics, light bar. I have a cable run to them off the all batteries on my selecter switch. When traveling over the water making a longer trips I charge them up with my alternater. But use battery charger at the docks, to restore the surface charge a good 2amp charge for a few hrs.

LOL, Rolmops I can plainly see this coming, their going to be 12 but they know all the makeup smear and talk like little adults. Their vocabulary is incredible, and I can not lie, their getting a little attitude every now and then dad has to get them out of trouble with mom every now and then, but I let mom put her foot down when it's serious stuff!! Then I'm the bad guy. LOL

I made one out of schedule 40 plastic and used the Scotty plastic rod Holders. I made steel plates with 6 holes 4 to hold the mounting plate to the base, then 2 in the middle, top and bottom to hold the base to the pipe and it won't spin on the pipe. I used a piece of exhaust pipe with a steel plate welded to it with 2 holes drilled to fasten it to boat and then the rod holder schedule 40 pipe slid over the pipe on the boat, then I drilled a hole through the hole mess and used a pin with a wire lock on it. I could adjust the holders as if the were mounted to the boat.

I use a fox pro also, like mentioned above make sure your remote works out to 100 yards+ also know the animal, like now the female invitation call, will get the males attention, I've noticed at this time of the year even a sharp OL male will let his guard down when thinking with the other head I have good luck with coyote/rabbit squeals, and spring, gobbling tom works good and coyote pup in distress is always a Ace in the hole. Also a 100 yards away in a field is a lot differant than a 100 yards through the bush, the remote won't work. I'm half deaf and can't hear out the other, so I wear my walkers game ear up high to set the volume, I have blasted out yotes that were in close, always start out at a normal sound, naturally a rabbit get mauled by a yote isn't going to scream softly, what I see more guys do is try to call a yote in from another county, ain't gonna happen. If nothing's going on, a few seconds on louder mode won't hurt, but start out at a normal rabbits death cry, which isn't to soft. I only hang out a 1/2 hr at a sit, if nothing I move on. Some argue this point. I've gone to several Dennis Kirks seminars this seems to be the happy medium between the western yote and the complete opposite eastern coyote, now interbreeding with Wolves on top of this already smart animal. Good luck it's a lot of fun. Be prepared to answer the law, people seeing a person in camo caring a gun at night gets noticed fast. They take it seriously!! One of the few sets that I ever had more than one yote on the move got botched up by the pocono police wheeling in behind my truck with lights flashing and the cop on the mic! If your a hunter please come out without your firearm. You gotta be F'n kidding me, O'well shyt happens

Last year when Gambler was selling his tourney winning Riggs I bought about every color I think but 2 or 3, I'm pumped to fish for these babys, I want to become consistent at it so when my daughters can come up I can put them on lakers to keep them interested in the sport. They love to fish can't wait to go. I see with them both turning 12 this years old on the 18th of this month. They are growing up before my very own eyes. It Won't be long and I'll be second fiddle. My hats off to gambler for making these bad ass Riggs these are something every lake trout fisherman should have in there arsenal for lakers!!

You have all the right in the world Les!! I don't want to this thread to get clogged up with just yick-yack. Those boats are awesome and the have character, like the older cars.

Hell ya, if they work 1/2 as good as they look you better not fly solo.

What size boat do you have, others will chime in soon to give you a hand once we know what your ride is. The size will determine where you would be able to go safely depending on wave height verses the boat size.

John was your Whaler always powered by outboards? Or did you repower her using that bracket for the outboards? This is just a pipe dream for me at this point, but if I decide to redo the floors and find out I need to go further. Then I'll go all the way. What a pleasure it would be to rid the doghouse. With the new outboards today I really believe it's the way to fly. There's no way in hell a single V8 could move your vessel like those Evenrude motors do. Hell you'd need a Keith Black hemi with a 671 blower and 2 fours to keep up with that thirsty horse making impossible to fund the fuel bill. Between the new ponies and that dashboard it's one hell of beautiful ride!!

If it's the motor call your local starter & alternator shop. They can check the armature. The case is a magnate case for foreward and reverse so if the magnates are tight to the case yet, your good there. What, I've seen over the years is the power brush on the upside wears to the point it's no longer making good contact with the armature. We made brushes for guys when I was in business for myself. Where there's a will there's a way. If you know of an old school shop they would be able to fix it. To be honest from what I saw of the newer motors of the cannons is they are simulare to the truck tarp motor. If this is the case, and they are bio directional also. I haven't been able to check case diameter and armature spline on the drive end yet.

That stuff gets extremely hot, second if your not going to cover it with a water proof vinyl of some sort where the decking boards butt against one and the other there will be water trapped between and it will leak through. If you going to cover it with a vinyl that's a pretty exspensive sub floor. This is just my 2 cents.

Wow that is about as fresh as it gets!! My brother in law spends a lot of time with her. He started her by giving her sheds just to play with. Every time we go over she's carrying around a horn, she's funny, and as soon as the truck door open she's in ready to go. I wish you luck with your new puppy, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!

I was wondering about that, wonder why they painted the parking spots. I'll check it out once we get up for browns. It would be sweet if it was open to the public, but that remains to be seen.

Do any locals know where I'm talking about, it would put you into the same area a the Chaumont launch I would assume up towards the bridge more, and the opposite side of the Chaumont launch? The parking lot was painted for truck & trailer slots??

If this is the same place, we found it by accident, it's before the public launch its a blacktop parking lot on your left heading towards Chaumont, we just happened to see new blacktop and drove down there, in the heat of the summer it was windy as all hell just driving around looking for a bit better of a launch and spotted this one. There was nobody around so we launched out of the state park, as Chas mentioned. If this is the same as hidden harbor that's a good name for it. It appeared like a one boat at a time deal, but so is the Chaumont launch. Is this the right place Perchjerk Jim??? I'm sure there's a launch fee? But it might be worth it when the water is down.
