Yea, I can't agree more, Nick is one of the few guys I delt with, he sent me the lures before receiving the money!! THere are others and they know who they are as they have helped me very graciously. Being disabled one doesn't have the $$ to have the best of the best, but these guys have gone the extra mile to make my passion, fishing as doable as possible with the best of lures & spoons out there!! Thanks to all that have helped put quality baits on my line. PAP.

LOTSA Salmon School - one month away!

How about tickets to get in the overall show? Can we get them at the door, or are there only so many available? I'm 90% sure I can make it but I have to wait and see if my wife can get around on her own. She just had a major neck surgery, replaced 3 vertebrae and in a neck brace that holds her head perfectly straight, so there's that 10% chance I can't make it? Any help on this would be much appreciated. PAP -

It should tell you in the center of the prop. 19"X17 or 19"X21 your going to have to know that!! You can't go by a picture. -
Some of the best trout fishing I've ever experienced was the shores of the bay to your left as your headed towards the main lake, you have lots of shoreline to fish as there's the islands of Stoney & Galloo, keep headed south towards Stoney lighthouse, you will see the charters going for sure. It's to early for the eyes, but I've fought my personal best in these waters, took a pic. and sent her home.

Trust me by the end of February most of us will be in the same shoes.LOL the killer is when the western basin thaws before the NE shores do, having to read and see others fishing while there's still iced over bays that we can't get out is a real kick in the ass!! Best of luck to ya.

Absolutely Fleeter, there's no better place if you fish for the silvers!!, also a good group of eye guys. Welcome aboard!! PAP.

Yes you are correct about the not knowing where my lure is running. I've bought every trolling bible that Mark ever published plus I've talked to the man himself at a seminar he held at the Harrisburg sportshow. He used 30# braid in many of his tests, that's the one of the reasons I use the power pro, plus the influence of this board, many on here were using it also. So with the trolling bibles I feel as if I'm near where the fish are with my lures. Mark does have a on line system of some kind that you can access his info at a price of some sort. Search his web site to see what and if anything.

Ihow about a pic. And a price?? AA yea, maybe I should comprehend what one's saying before opening my mouth. For that I do apologize. . PAP

Like mentioned above all mono isn't the best idea on the account that it stretches way to much, although it will trip the diver you experience a lot of false releases, because of the extreme amount of stretch it doesn't sink the hooks home in the hard parts of the mouth, not to mention that will give the fish enough time to spit the hooks. I run 30# power pro on a 20 series reel no problem and a 50' piece if flurocarbon for the slide diver and be kind of stealthy. You can run all power pro just spin that rubber tubing around, like the directions read, then run a flurocarbon leader the length of your rod if you want to tie direct. I've lost to many rigs tying direct going from braid to mono. Never had an issue joining two of the same, but mono to fluro, I just can't trust that knot. I even tried using superglue like some say, and had break offs at the glue spot, looks like the glue might have interacted with the fluro. I checked my other rods that I did the same and I could break the line all above the glue joint. I used a number 10 Spro swivel. They are good to 30# and the 8's are rated for 50# I went with the Spro #10 on the account of pole eyes getting ruined? I don't use copper or wire because I never worked with either one, plus I don't have the stamina or patients for that, reeling 450-600 feet of line in plus I would think the fish is expired beyond a release and I don't have livewells big enough for a king to revive itself. I could be wrong, but if someone dragged my ass a half mile by my mouth I think I would of died at halfway point!! LOL. PAP. .

LOL this is a serious ordeal, but like skipper said about spiny fleas, imagine this, if every goby farted at the same time a study was done! and someone was smoking while fishing, that the blast would be greater than the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima Japan!! I certainly hope nobody fishes with baked beans for bait!! .

In my younger years I went to culinary school. I first attended a vocational technical school, which I was #1 student and I got a scholarship to the CIA. Culinary Institute of America. We often discussed this "only freeze once theory" the reason people say only freeze once is, if you freeze say a steak then you thaw it out you lose a lot of the juices. You pour them off then you cook, grill, whatever you like you loose more juices, but you still have a nice juicy steak at from rare to medium rare, and from medium to well done, your border line on the juices that the meat has to offer. If you freeze, thaw, freeze soon the meat will be like cardboard before it ever hits the pan because all the juices are gone. In culinary school there were different times you could freeze things before cooking that there's still enough juices in the meat to still have a ample amount of blood in the meats. Also things are more prone to freezer burn the drier they are. Although the invention of a frost free freezer was the best thing since sliced bread, they are the major reason why food that isn't vacuum packed, like a ziplock bag get freezer burned quicker. The older freezers made the air in the freezer itself cold, and didn't remove the moisture in the air of the freezer. The new frost free freezers act like a dehumidifier and remove all the moisture even your food if it isn't sealed 100%. They allow 5 freeze and thaws in the food industry!! but I never agreed to this and did a theists on their theory, I've found that after 3 thaws people in our restaurant that was open to the public, at school, they said they didn't like the steak. "They claimed there was no flavor and dry as a fart.LOL That table or persons got a free meal on us because I was doing a study on how many times one piece of meat could be thawed and froze before it didnt appeal to peple anymore. There's no law or sickness you can get from multiple freezes and thaws, its basically your loosing all the flavors and juices from any food. This old theory of you can only freeze food once has been in graved into our heads from generation to generation, which is a good thing because their food will be much better to eat. So after my long winded way of saying your fish will be delicious, after you fillet them and "refreeze" Now you made me hungry!! PAP

We used a old car radiator it's a complete unit. It's only like 16"X16"s square we ran a T off the main tank around the back side of the battery box & along the underside of the gunnal to the self contained unit and back to the cool line, with an in & out line we didn't see the need for a extra pump. He uses a 140* thermostat, we ended up putting a 160 thermostat to maintain 140 on the gauge. It works sweet!!

My buddy has a closed water system also with a 470 in it we T'ed into the hot water side and got a older radiator with a fan behind the unit itself. Plumbed the radiator and it was a 12V system so wired her up works beautiful. He has the drop curtain which really holds the heat in!! Sometimes it gets to hot. So we open the curtains or shut off the radiator. This way you don't have to worry about the air your breathing.

I can tell you there's lots better launching! Henderson has a very good launch and it's a public launch also. Then right up the road is Sackets harbor with a excellent launch also, which is a free launch. I'm sure between those two points are going to be lodging. In Henderson, Henchens Marinia has cottages I rented before nice serves the purpose, across the street is Bill Saiff's restaurant and hotel for fisherman. I don't know about Sackets harbor area for lodging. Hope this helps. Pap
