  1. OH Shyt I thought yesterday was the last? Thanks for the heads up DT. As for the other posts below, are you Freaken kidding me or what about the wench being your governor? No way we need her and the entire pod of posies the FFF out of government!! You need to NOT let this happen by any means!! When did this come about??
  2. I got a chance to see one in person, just last Tuesday. Wow are they built like a D8 CaterpillarLOL no joke there built to last that's for sure. I went to look at a boat that a guy wants the motor rebuilt, and these riggers are in a large milk crate with the booms sticking out. I asked if I could see them, and.said yea go a head. I've never seen one before, I asked if he thought about selling them. He has to talk to his grandson first and if he says we're not going use them, then I'll sell them to ya!!
  3. Hey Dan, what part of the Black River were you fishing Dexter?
  4. Well then wipe them off if there to dirty!!LOL couldn't resist I know what you mean there Whaler. This is what happens to my brain when, there's no ice to fish, last day of flintlock season was today. No snow to rabbit hunt, not that one needs snow, but it's more fun!! Plus I don't have any hunting beagles anymore, just my couch beagle. LOL after this weekend we can go at night predator hunting!! The good OL' Pa. Game Commission found another way to dig into our pockets, since yotes are a predator we NEVER needed a fur takers license, now to hunt at night we need a fur takers license, another $25.00 along with our hunting license and muzzleloader tag, doe tags. Where does it end!! Now our gasoline tax of .08 on the gallon brings fuel to $ 2.75 around here. here's to you governor Wolf I PAP LOU proud member approves this message!!! WTF?
  5. Oh yea, the OL' run & gun that was our favorite way to hunt crows!! I almost bought alpha dog but I talked to other that said the remote didn't work out to 100 yards, this and that, now I wish I would have bought one of those instead of the Fox Pro. That's made by Western Rivers right? Plus Fox Pro was supposed to have the best sounds, this one I have has more useless sounds it's pitiful!! Only 3 crow sounds. Fighting crows, crow & owl fight, single excited crow. Were I have Denis Kirk and Johnny Stewart sounds which are very different from each other. Not happy with the fox pro, yes I could download my own sounds at $5.00 a sound. At that rate I might as well buy a western rivers unit, and be way ahead of the game. Nice talking to a predator caller!! PAP
  6. Way to go Dave!! How do you like your caller? I have the Fox Pro Version caller for a compact unit it's plenty loud for predator calling and the handheld controller is really convenient. Used a Johnny Stewart 45 record player, there were companies that sold their sounds onto a 45 record and I have loads of records!! For predator calling & crow calling. The caller was in a camo case and heavy. It held 8 D size batteries, that didn't last that long especially if you used a lot of volume. As a kid it took all my choir money to buy batteries then I bought a Johnny Stewart caller which had a rechargeable battery, yes no more having to buy batteries!!! and they lasted a long time, even calling crows which takes a lot of volume at first to get them to come, then you lower the sound. I used this caller hard and have bags of cassettes. Now I have a fox pro FOX FIRE caller which works great for predators, but not so good on enough volume for crows, so I sill use my old Johnny Stewart cassette caller. I've heard the newer ones have a lot more volume, But for the cost I'll use what I have till my cassettes take a dumpLOL. There seems to be a few more options out there from when I got my first Fox Pro unit. Good luck with your caller and your hunts. . PAP.
  7. Cool video man!! You think your missing fishing? I'm watching your part2 and Joe Butcher catching Muskies on the fishing channel provided by our cable comp. One eye on your vids, the other on the TV. Spring can't come soon enough for me!!! I'm sure I'm not alone here.
  8. Nice size yote, to go with your beautiful red!! Congrats Whaler & son. PAP.
  9. Now that's the best idea I've heard of yet!! But kick it up a notch, have the Victoria's Secret models as first mates aboard!! Why you would have to book a trip a year or two ahead!! LoL, then Rick wouldn't have all that stress to fill the fish cooler, I doubt the guys would even care if they caught a fish!!
  10. Good idea there BS, if your in a tournament and the sonar shows a big school with big hooks you could send the drone down with a stick of TNT with a electronic cap release the TNT light off the stick, wait for the fish to float to the surface. Then just drive around with your net and scoop em up and head to the weigh station. You could pay off the drone but quickly!!! LOL
  11. To me Les it's the only color, I've ran rigger weights from Crome to fluorescent orange, and of cours I alway go back to my flat black I've run sharks Crome and its partner black with the black 97% taking the shots were the black, plus my torpedos same deal. With a short lead I tend to think that shiny weight distracts the fish from the presentation? Could be all wet with my thoughts, but after 35 years it's hard to turn left when you know it's right!! LOL
  12. YEEOOWW they are sweet looking. Plus the kick the snot out of "the shark" price. Great job!! PAP
  13. It's exactly like what you originally posted pic. of

That's great thanks pvelyk!! And the others who helped PAP
  15. Yea, thanks for the info I would have never though about that!! Well looks and sounds like this idea just got shot to hell, who knows were the "guy" is who makes them is. OH well back to the basics
  16. until

Thanks guys that's exactly what I was looking for!! One other thing how do you go about paying to get in and what about the seminars, how much do they cost? Sorry for the all the questions!!
  17. until

Does anyone have a schedule of events and times? Coming from eastern, central side of Pa. Would like to find a hotel and need dates, really only need room for Fri-Sat. Night. Would like to see event schedule for Friday? To know whether to leave early enough to catch a event on Friday if need be. Thanks for any input. Mike.
  18. I agree with ya there Kevin, as the bigger ones give a nice, real nice strip of solid meat from the top to the Y bones. One side can give off a lot of meat, then the same on the other side!! I usually cut that long thick pieces in half the long way or if it's got big shoulders I cut into 3 strips the long way then cut them into chunks, beer batter, I like the batter a little thinner than normal so you get a good tast of the fish and not so thick of batter. Then deep fry in peanut oil!! Man that's good eating there!!
  19. Yea that solved the freezing up mode, but the rest still stands, the first update I got free because it was within a year, the other 2 cost me $99.00 a shot and the only thing I got out of it that I noticed was my 3ft contours went to 1ft contours, and more detail on my Navionics chip, but nothing in the performance area, such as start-up, time it takes to lock onto satellites, the learning curve is ridiculous, push this twice while holding down this, double click on the zoom? Come on , I justgot a IPhone 6 set the damn works up in a hour, the instructions they give ya basically tells you when you have the unit so bound up, here's how you get the home page up. I even took my laptop along and that did give me more Intel!! But you better have a photographic memory with all the moves you need to take just to accomplish 1 simple task. Lord help your sorry ass if you happen to get of auto adjust, and manage to get into the manual adjustments!!!! You better be ain your20's or my daughters ages 11 tthey have a ability us older guys don't, it just comes natural to them. I'm not the most technically inclined dude but I get myself around. I just go from screen to screen that have what I'm looking for on the auto mode. I did not do the above update, it sounds like that's what i need!! Mayb that will clear the fog!! Thank you for that info I'll do that today!! I've got an extra power cord so I could use it indoors to try to understand this machine better. THanks again, I didn't know about this update!! PAP
  20. They appear like there built like a tank!! Nothing cheesy about those riggers. Everything looks straight forward and strong like BULL!! Nice set up for the money, especially if there's parts available!!
  21. The Elite 7HDI
  22. Put a pan of your brine on the burner if you have one, should have one inside, I use a smoke house with external wood stove, usually they call it a steam generator, which keeps meat moist at the same smoke infusion is still taking place. Lots of specialty dry cure meats and European sausages and bologna use steam generators, which is simply a pan of water on a burner.
  23. X2!! Pike are one of my favorites to eat, many guys don't know they're eating pike if there's walleyes mixed in with the pike. A Canadian old timer showed me the ropes on filleting pike. It's a multi step process but it's well worth it. There's a top cut along the top to the Y bones and from below the Y bones to where the white starts of the belly meat. Up in Quebec the locals only take from along the top to the Y bones on each side, and the rest they put in a bag? I was told they cook them off for their dogs? I've seen this on multiple trips. They never let the rest lay, so they do something with it.
  24. What parts are included in the repair kit? Mines all bent to hell because someone told me it was released and up!! I knew as soon as I needed more than 1/2 throttle it wasn't up throttled back down and you bet!! I give you guys one simple job and you'sthat up!! This shyt cost lots of money!! If you don't care or are to stupid then get theoff my boat. Yes it was quiet on the return trip, as I needed to remove it because it wouldn't latch in the up position. I want to fix it. I have a 18fter I use around home and I'm not putting a kicker on this boat. These troll plates work great!! You just need to be smarter than the plate!!
  25. Man that's an awesome idea, you could have your entire baits for whatever species your fishing for at the time, at your fingertips, no more stumbling over tackle boxes, which would open the cuddy for even more stuff or in my sake the kids would have their place to go when we're in a slow time or area, not to mention you could put big hooks in the cuddy and hang them in there when not being used. I'll be getting some of those!! You can't buy a tackle box for what they cost!! Plus the goodies you need a tackle box for there would be a lot more room to organize your must have items into the lure compartments. Awesome, awesome, fantastic IDEA!! Say goodbye to the noodles for spoons and lures, but I haven't found a better way to store spinner harneses, the noodles still kick ass for the harneses!! This is definitely using your head!! Hope you patented this product?!! Old saying goes. If you don't use your head, you might as well be an ass on both ends!! LOL PAP
