I screwed up my post on the seasons, during the six weeks of archery, there's a week long season in October, that I think Jr.' & I know Sr's can use a rifle and I think there working on the Sr's can harvest their buck? But the archers are fighting that on account that organized gang hunting could be used. Because us guys that have a doe tag can use a muzzy to fill a tag also. You almost need an arbitrator with to be in the right!! Make the laws so you could get fined it's such a grey area! Shoot first ask questions later LOL

I see, here in Pa there's a 6 week long archery season, which in that time frame there's a 5 day muzzy season and I thing Jr hunters and I know for sure the first 3 days the senior hunters can harvest a doe, most archers are looking for Elgrande big boys, themselves there's a week or two break over Thanksgiving, that Monday after turkey day starts rifle season, which is over last Saturday, and flintlock season opens day after Christmas. Thanks pap

I know everyone is antsy to wet a line, but Les made a good point, water in its 40's takes a while to freeze, especially if there's any depth to it. Please use caution when venturing out on the slick shyt!! LOL It's to early yet, work on your equipment for a week or two. A cold Canadian front is moving over the northeast and this will harden things up SOON.

That's awesome!! Yea I'd wanna make sure also. I'd rather have my ass kicked, then well you know the rest of the story. Today is the last for rifle season 2016, some say it was the best in years, where others say it was the worst!!. From my point of view the big gangs did poorly, were the two-four man groups did well. Yesterday a 20+ Men gang made 6 chases which took all day and covered hundreds of acres to get out 1 doe which a junior hunter shot. Meanwhile my brother in law myself, and grandpa had two bucks out and many doe's out we didn't chase we just walked stop listen type drive not hoot and holler smack trees ect, I shot a buck, and Grandpa Missed a True Trophy I talked to the man who owns the farm and he said they knew it was around, but never could put eyes on him during the season, I think Paaw got a little shaky when that big guy showed himselfLOL I counted 90 paces from where the leaves were ripped up to my string tied to the treeLOL, I've watched him take a smaller buck years a go flat out running away at a less than a 45* angle two shots with his 350, so standing at 90 yards- you know what I mean. Next is Flintlock season which opens the day after Christmas, those that have their buck tag can go anywhere in the state while those with just a doe tag must hunt that area that represents their tag, such as 3D covers the area around home. I'm done I didn't get a doe tag. Next year I will have one!! Now that I broke the ice physically and mentally, it was a huge step for me litterly!!. Best of luck to all!!

Ha Ha MachZ great name whaler, used to have SKi DOO MachZ ran like a stripped ass ape. Nikon makes one hell of a scope. I put the 4x16-50mil bell on my 25-06, with Harris bi-pods, that let the rifle swivel for upright recticals if legs aren't adjusted for a quich shot. Their prices are a little more forgiving. I just read Leupold came out with lighted recticals!! Might have to slide that Nikon over to my Winchester 300 H&H

I talked to Harvey, he is taking orders, but not until after the deer season. He told me his operation needs to be done outside, so I told him no rush I wouldn't need them till spring. He said if it gives a few better days he would try to get it done. On that note I told him I have the 12#ers don't worry about it till spring and he was very happy with that. I couldn't believe how cheap they ship less than $15.00 and I ordered the 16lbs'ers. I'd pm him with your order!! -
Well my brother in law. Got in at 4:30am he drives for Roadway Express/ Yellow he's a excellent tracker and a hell of a archery hunter, we spent 2.5 hrs looking for blood, you could see right where he ran, where he was standing it was all ripped up "no hair" where he run up hill definatly not good sigh of a hit deer we couldn't find anything that would show a sigh that the deer was hit. Grand Pa didn't sleep much he called at 5:30am he was at Rodney's house we waited till good light outside and we determined Grand Pa missed him clean. Well they don't get big having a little luck on their side also, we'll see what happens today. My brother in law needs a little shut eye then we're going to give it a whirl later today. Grand pa was a lot happier that he missed at the same time a little disappointed. That's hunting thou, he said. So NO pics as of now LOL

I don't really watch to much TV other than the fishing channel, 699 down here. I haven't a clue what your talking about? Kinda like some on here use million dollar words to make themselves sound impressive, I like 4 letter words they get to the point and not indirectly say one is an ass. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

That'a boy Locoman, let's round up the guys, and have fun!! This {was} "is still" the best thread in all of 4 damn near 5 years that I've been a PRO member on LOU-LEU, it's to late to shyt things up because someone disagrees with one's most exciting moment this season. Put away the bad eggs and let's play BALL!!!! In all seriousness here in Pa. It's legal to shoot 1/2hr past dusk. I know wer're not in Pa. Toto. OK, this evening my father in law shot at a dandy buck about 90-100 yards, when he shot the buck ran up hill, he thinks the shot was back a little to far, and his tail stood strait up, I didn't see what happened as I was driving the guys around, till we got to where he was standing and I got the chasers it was to late, instead of going in with lights I hung a piece of white string on the limb of the tree he was standing behind. He is upset, this would have been the biggest deer he ever shot. He hunts with a new but older caliber Rem. 350 mag. Usually they don't go far with that pill. See what happens tomorrow morning. I hope I have a pic for you, he thinks he missed, I don't believe it, he's to good of a shot. The only way he missed is if the bullet hit a big limb, twigs don't bother that cannon! LOL That's why I like my 35 Whelen, but the 350 is a shorter case, but bigger in diameter by a little, be buys factory loads and I have my wife's cousin load my shells, and they flat ass work!! That buck I shot was 100yards+ and angled like quartered towards I pick a out the crease right behind the front blade. I shot he just sat down looked towards me and fell over. After pulling autopsy the shot was high, I didn't realize he was on a down grade. Anyway it busted 2 ribs off on the entry knocked the backbone off on the underside, and ruined my all time favorite pieces of meat those two straps under the backbone, and knocked off 3 ribs on the other side. Other then my so called chicken strips there wasn't an ounce of meat waisted!! I love that gun and it fits me perfectly, that means a lot!! Good luck guys, it's going to get brutal towards the weekend.

Calling Dan a outlaw is ridiculous, I guess you never to ten minutes of break at work, you never went 47 in a 45mph zone, pull your skirt up and leave this site, we didn't have a issue till the turkey talked. I got broad shoulders there short spur. Congrats Dan youll always be my freind

New sizes for the popular Lowrance Elite Ti
Xxx replied to Andre wallyandre's topic in Tackle and Techniques
That's awesome, just in time for Santa to swing into Lowrance and pick one up for me!! Thanks for the heads up. On the other hand when I bought my elite7. I talked to the Lowrance REP, he was at the Hamburg store, there were a few guys on a limb including me. Our question was, what's up your sleeves for the next couple of years? This is it he said we wanted to make a unit close to the hds. Units but not discourage the guys from buying them, and this unit will be it for a while. Well since they came out with the chirp, Ti, then the 9" came out with all the goodies, now this. Just in the last 3 years. Not only was he a rep. But a hell of a salesman also.LOL Thanks wallyandre!! For the heads up!!! -

He's laying within 50yards of your last sight of blood, I hope the damn yotes don't jump him, I had that happen, it was that big 6 I shot with the flintlock, bedded down like yours under a hemlock till the yotes got after him his horn marks were in the snow!! 6hrs later we got him!! I ask our higher ups to look over you and guide you in the right direction!! Please post a pic, when you get him, will do a little prayer and ask my brother to aid in your tracking, he was the best, he could tell by the way the leaves were laying or turned up. Best of luck, what for gun were you using?? PAP.

Well if anyone knows it's you my freind, I still go out and open my tackle box to admire your work, you have painted me some of the best color sceme's I ever laid eyes on, that's no shyt!! I tell myself if I could be 1/2 as good as you can paint I'd be blessed. On the other hand what I spent so far I could have had you paint enough lures to last me yearsLOL its great hearing from you again!! I still visit your site often to see if anything new come about? Best of luck PAP Mike!!!

I did a ton of research, most all say to wire wheel, then wipe clean with lacquer thinner before shooting your base coat. I've come to find out that most all are water based. There are some very interesting paints out there, and some impressive stencils. To really bring character to a spoon and I also came across 3D stencils which look impressive, but the cost at first, you can buy a lot of spoons before it comes around other than you can create what works for differant lakes!! Plus it keeps me busy, maybe to much.LOL

Holy shyt man, that's a bunch of snow!! I highly doubt that's a good thing, being that deep. I'd say you better get it done if it's going to happen. Snow balls don't fry up like backstraps. By the way I made one of the backstraps for dinner last night with homemade frenchfries, in peanut oil, just like the fairs!! The kids ate everything. I have a refridguater that I use like a walk in cooler, I put rods in to hang the meat at 36* now it's been 7 days, and the backstraps you could cut with a fork and they fell apart in your mouth!! Good luck guys I'm pulling for ya's trust me!!!

Thank you justgrinnin, LOL I have watched a lot of Dakota's vids, got a lot of ideas from that guy! He definatly has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, and not afraid to share them. Although I did not see that. I'm keeping notes as I go, or I'd never remember all this stuff. If your into a challenge take up this hobby!! LOL thanks for the heads up. PAP.

What sucks is I didn't get a chance to take off my canopy on the boat yet ☃ looks like I'll be pushing the snow off at midnight 😤😴 Sorry little of topic, but will benefit the Pa. Hunters!!! Good luck to all.!!! PAP
