Good grief John that's pick'in up and laying them down @40 mph, with 450 ponies pushing her!! For a 27fter that's damn good. The older Boston Whaler's and the early 80's-mid 90's the Grady Whites where my favorite looking boats of there times. Best of luck with your sale!! Someone will be a proud owner of a magnificent looking and handling vessel. A lot of time and patience went into this beauty.

Now there's a man worthy of looking up!! Especially if out of state, NY state has reasonable out of state fishing license, I think it's $50.00 and something else that they did was make the license from date of purchase to the following years date of purchase!!

Yea, they work great for 10 colors, and at $57.00 at local bait shop, that's a deal!!
-
I checked their prices on reels like the okuma cold water 30lc or 303lc is only $17.00 less on sale it would be, to me not even worth the chance, like stated you hit home there's no physical address just send $$ to here, I'm not going to chance. Maybe in slammin's case yea, $20.00 yea ok but $50-60 I don't think so

There was MAYHAM around here for 3 seasons as guys were seeing the bucks like pictured, unfortunately it came out that 3 to 5 of those penned in deer the owner said they went nuts and broke down the fence, so now the Blue Mountain could have a record holding deer, someone shot a smaller one and of course the record holder got hit on Rt 33 by the Sciota area. Reall bummer, but with the ADK'S who knows, I say Man raised buck that fled the area he was in. Either way sucks it got hit buy a car!!

There's a big gun shop right down the road about 20 min, that has all that big hammer stuff, I'm meeting KeepingitReel at the NY welcome center to pick some stuff up from him. If they have it would you be able to hook up with him? I think he's from the finger lakes area, just a thought??? -

I'd call MidWay USA. They should have the ammo plus all the goodies to reload your own, those guys are super helpful. I have a 25-06 I almost got rid of. I won the rifle, laminated stock heavy barrel and it had a steel colored barrel Teflon coated, Ruger Mark ?? Whatever. Couldn't get this gun to shoot for shyt, called midway and they told me to take the gun to a good gun smith, he said it sounds like it's losing head pressure. Ya OK? So I did and that's EXCACTLY what the problem was. The gun smith said it must have been one of the last before they changed the reamer?? So he worked his magic and know that gun shoots great. But if it weren't for MidWay USA I would have sold this gun, with a guilty conscience. -
I bought a boat load of dipsies off guys on LOU, now I know why, everyone is switching over to the Walkers, now as I loose one here and there I've been replacing them with walkers, I have enough dipsies to last me a long time but I have replaced some of the mag sizes and the 1-2 sizes, the popular ones. I still have a lot of the odd sizes. That's ok by me. They still work.

Yes you are correct there, my uncle belongs to a hunting club on the paper mill area of the Oswegotchi River. I have been to the fishing camp they have, but not their hunting camp. It is thick rocky terrain, and on the outskirts of a huge swamp. Not everyone gets a buck but the ones they do shoot are humongous, not only in horn growth, which I have noticed these bucks have heavy mass, not tall but wide. The smallest buck up there would win every buck pool down here. Frank shot one last year up there and the horns at the base you could not reach around with one hand, I mean heavy heavy mass!! Just to survive up there is just amazing to me!! I used to sled up there years back and it was not a rare occasion for it to be -25/35 degrees. You have to be one tough SOB, just to survive. So I can see why there isn't as many deer in these area's. Thank you for your knowledge about the differant areas. PAP.

So what I was reading and hearing you guys just summed it up, we have lots of ag.country but the ethics you guys practice is what's getting these deer past 2.5 years old!! This is what I'm trying get through to the Pa. Hunters, it's not that they we can't grow this caliber of a buck. Just drive through some of these developments, there are monsters in there!! Most of the bigger buck taken around here are taken by the archery Hunters setting up on the outskirts of these developments, where in the rut they'll roam beyond the developments. Other than that if it has 3 points on one side someone will put a sleeping pill in it!! If the state would go for 3 points up, not including the brow tine that would save a lot of the younger bucks. Well you can't fight city hall by yourself, but you guys have been able to convince the majority of the hunters to follow in your trail. I will say you guys have a great bunch of hunter/folks who are willing to follow in the guide of sportsmanship and of hunting nice racks not just deer. Thanks for your time and thoughts guys!! PAP

Thanks for the heads up on the whole deal at Cisco Fishing Systems. Everyone I ever spoke to about Cisco had nothing but good news to talk about. In fact the tree rods I bought off of ReelDiel3 a few weeks ago, he was going to the Cisco rod holders. You won't be disappointed, plus just giving you the time of day is sometimes enough to seal the deal!!!

I'm just curious about some things in this thread? There have been more slammer bucks taken in this thread than I ever saw in a life time. NY state is doing something WAY differant than Pa. Are most of you guys hunting the big woods of NY or are you hunting farm lands that border big woods. I don't get it why Pa. hunters aren't seeing the amount of big bucks you guys see. Don't get me wrong Pa. produces some bruisers also but those bucks, the majority are taken in the southwestern part of the state. There are some taken in the norther counties. Either you guys as a majority are way more ethical minded, just like post above, left the biggest buck of a lifetime walk, I can guarantee that in Pa. That would have been brown & down situation. We also have a lot of poaching going on around here, there should be no spotlighting from the start of the deer season till the end. The only time you cannot light around is during the rifle season??. That way if a light is seen it's definitely a poacher not dad taking a ride to show the kids deer in a field. Of course the car insurance companies and the game commission are working together to bring the population down, as Pa. is one of the highest states to have deer related accidents!! They changed the rules, from 2 weeks of buck season and 3 days of doe season to 2 weeks of DEER season, so what ever comes just shoot, if you tag your deer and process it you can go again the same day!! So many doe's got shot off it was sickening. This went on for years. Now this year you must harvest a buck in the first week only, so the game comm. is now ****ing that the license counts went way down, REALLY, after hunting a week and didn't even see a deer.I will say there are 3 major gangs that hunt a lot of land around here, and they made their own rules and that was the first week you could only shoot a legal buck, except the younger kids up to the age of 14, which must have at least 3 points on one side. Where the western part of the state must have 3 up excluding a brow tine, I wish this was statewide rule, but at least it's a step in the right direction. OK, now that I bored ya to tears!! Keep up the great job you NY state hunters!! I can plainly see why a lot of Pa. Guys go to NY & Ohio to hunt the all mighty whitetail!!!

Holy cow that is a slammer of a buck!!! Her dad and Gene should be more proud than a peacock!! She pasted him a little front depends how the deer was standing, but the proof is in the photo, perfect shot. Didn't have to look long for that boy!! Great deer young lady and I think that gave her a better thrill than winning any video game!! Not to mention this win puts a lot of goodies in the freezer!! Congrats to all that made this young ladies day. Not to mention maybe a wall mount!!

Super job on your post, the pics are amazing along with your deer congrats to your week of deer camp!!!

Damn that's a dandy buck sectvchamps!! Those are some high horns man!! Hope get a shot at that boy!! The bow season came to a close at sunset yesterday. The Monday after thanksgiving fires up the buck season but with a twist!! This year the first week is bucks only, which I'm happy about, this 2 weeks of "deer" season was ludicrous, all my hunting years before were 2 weeks and 3 days, the 3 days were for doe's. At least they eliminated 1 week of doe season. It sounded the a war around here for the first couple of days. They damn near killed all off around here.
