Well Lake you have a point there, but for $250.00 a throw, Jesse James used a gun to rob his people!! LOL, and on rough days I'm sure they do their job!

Nice going Nautitroller, what weather for this time of the year!! You guys are blessed, down here it's nice weather but it dry, so no there's no water to put a boat on. 3 major bodies of water and all are drained to keep the saltwater from coming up the Delaware River any further!! Can't win this year. Take care my friend will see ya 2017. PAP.

My brother in law swears by the moon phases!! He has some sort of a wheel. He plans his vacation time and everything else by this damn wheel. Oh vacation time, I mean for hunting, not going on a cruise or something like that. I tell ya I used it for hunting coyotes, either it's right or because it's in your head its a case of coincidence? We might have not shot more but we did see more.

Awesome looking buck, it looks like a older buck to me that it could be at his prime in horn mass. With a rack like that, you could of shot a much older buck, either way you should be proud of yourself without a doubt!! The kickers on the base are amazing, and the neck on the old guy sure shows his dominance, with out a doubt!! That's a wall hanger for sure!! Congrats man on your kill!!!

I run Power Pro on all my Dipsy Rods, if you go with a 5ft rod on the inside, which you could run a lead core rod, which could double as a dipsy rod and a 7/8ft dipsy rod that could double as a lead core also, run a dipsy which would meet your needs on the 3 setting, usually a mag is used on the outside to achieve the desired depth on a three setting. Use a smaller dipsy on the inside rod on a 0-1 setting to achieve your depth. Then just duplicate your setup on the other side. Some of my rods I have are used as multi purposes. I can change reels of leadcore out for a dipsy or vise-versa. Some guys will disagree as they want a set up for every situation. That's fine, but my budget doesn't allow that, so I need to a little versatile. I know the there are dive charts for each dipsy on the package, if you ever need a chart for differant lines and speeds, let me know I have all the trollers bibles ever made by Mark Romanack, just PM me and I'll send them to ya!! Good luck this season. Also check out the new Bay Rat lure colors, they look awesome for spring Browns. Good luck with everything!! PAP

To me HOLY DIVER, your comparing apples to peanuts, in your situation by purchasing land to "JUST" hunt on is a much better deal than spending the same for a family hunt just for the head mount or bragging rights, they all eat the same!!, you will or already own your property, so taxes and a few sighs to put up so your not liable for "xyz" who stumbles and breaks a leg on your land. You can do whatever you want to make this property your own invisable fence hunting grounds, but bucks and doe's can come and go as they please. You can make your land appealing to other bucks to roam on to. Yes this all takes $$$ but it's yours, a forever thing where just say 10 grand is only for that one moment. Usually buying property is the best investment you can do with your money, and years later in life if you decide to sell you could make all your money back and then some or pass it on to your son/daughter, or a retirement property. You can't go wrong with owning property. Just don't buy a 100 acres of swampland!! LOL.

Your a good man Gator!! Don't sweat the small stuff. I enjoy reading your posts, you always find the good in ones post no matter what the subject is!! Just every once in a while your very educated mind, leaves me in the dust with some of your terminology, but with my wife's help, masters degree + 36 damn near finished with her Doctorate in Special Education, she can help me with my hands on educated mind. There are others on here that lose me also, but it's not that difficult to do. LOL!!

Your right the cherry wood was a Berkley rod, that was the rod Danny busted on a big pike on the Black River above the dam, BUT Fenwick did not work with me on their faulty rod. Sorry I got the Cherry Wood name confused with the walleye series IM6 graphite Jigging rod made by Fenwick, we are watching the election and to make conversation, David my uncle said the Cherry Wood wasn't your $115.00 1 cast later busted pole. So I was going to edit the post but you guys caught it already. Sorry for the miss named rod, cause when David said it was a dark green rod I knew I screwed it up. PAP

That's what I'm asking, what law, I couldn't remember ever reading or heard you had to have such a chair? I'm like G Daddy I use a good quality big mans type chair, it's very stable and it's higher so you can get out of it quickly to grab a rod or whatever.

Yes I'm inclined to believe these boats that most of us want, in the 20-26ft need to sacrifice something, as we all aren't independently wealthyLOL, so we sacrifice the age to be able to afford that boat we want, this in turn means chasing gremlins or making repairs on something, whether it's structural or mechanical. What we are is proud to own what we have, because it's our hands that have blisters or grease up to our elbows. If you made a few trips with no glitches we're happier than a clam, it's these moments that keeps this disease we all have called fishing to keep chugging along. I think by now I could have put a good down payment on a Long John Silvers franchise, and at least that would make $$$ instead of costing $$$ LOL I wouldn't have it any other way!! But if I hit the lottery there would be a new King Fisher with twin 150's pushing her!!LOL. Keep the pics. Comming guys.

Same as Pa. But they put a numerical figure in there, as the law was in favor for the guy in uniform, didn't matter what the hunters side was. As in my post above. Only differance for me is I could measure and write. LOL.

I know what your going through, had twin girls February 18, 2005, seems like yesterday, but I didn't get to hunt that year, because my wife pretty much couldn't fend for herself. Once this is over you will not regret missing this hunting season and will feel some sort of guilt towards yourself for even feeling this way. I know I did and after the girls were born it really put weight on my shoulders, and a unbelievable amount of guilt of being selfish, how could I even be so selfish when these two little precious girls came into our lives. For a couple of years when they were younger I hunted, fished, now they are getting to that age where their playing sports, now this really puts the squeeze to my fishing time. They both play softball, it will be their 4th year. Last year they won their league championship, they won all their tournaments!! There is no fish in the world that gave me the excitement these girls gave me as a proud parent, one has a Medal of Honor and 3 trophies and the other got three trophies also. Now next year they want to fish more and are pumping mom to go hunting, so this will be my time to share what I know and keep them both interested in the outdoors. You will be a great dad as you already are. Hang in there and God will reward you in ways only you will know!! Congrats, to you and your new edition to the family. Your friend PaP {Mike}

Your right there tman12, just like last year I said how my BSA lighted rectical scope was so great, wow did I get shut down quick, if only they would have worked with me a little I wouldn't have a sour taste in me yet. If I remember right I think they were going through tough times. If their prices aren't so bad maybe I'll take a look. Good luck with them!!

Does a chair like tincup has for sale, have to be used to add an extra [seat] in a boat to be whith in the laws of boating?? Secondly why are they so damn expensive. I realize it's a recreational thing but GEEZE you can damn near put a permanent seat in for what these chairs cost!! Thanks for any input on this!! PaP.

In PA. You must be 30ft off the road (BUT) you must measure LOL 12ft from the middle to where 12ft ends, which in some of the back roads might be beyond the telephone pole or in a farmers field. It does NOT mean thirty paces off the blacktop or the edge of the road. How do I know this?? Well I was standing off the road about 50ft on a old dirt road that does get maintained by the township, here comes the most hated crooked game warden that ever worked for the Pa. Game, Comm. he wrote me up for being to close or NOT 30ft off the road. $300.00 fine, which I argued, I'm more than 30ft. He said sign here, if you can write since you can't measure. HHMMM. I dropped a shell casing where I was standing and took a pic of him giving me the third degree, the pic. was from his waist down. I fought it in court and won, my wife's friend from collage is a lawyer, and my pic. is what the district magistrate went by, and she was a local and knew the area. My fine got thrown out. But now this arsh is into the Fish Comm. so ya the middle of the road, 12ft then 30 big paces and your good. In Pa.
