  1. My experience with Fenwick rods was terrible and would never ever own another thing made by Fenwick!! I purchased a Fenwick rod at Fay's in Watertown Ny. Spooled it with 4 pound Fireline the first cast in the Black River I thought I had a hit and did your normal pull on the rod to set the hook, no I didn't rip on the rod like a nut job!! The rod snapped off by the 2nd eye from the tip, I called Fenwick they told me to send it back to them, which I did. They told me the Cherry wood series is discontinued and they wouldn't credit me the price of the rod towards a differant rod. It was their walleye series rod it was a IM6 graphite 6.6ft pole. I paid $115.00 back then. I never had such a piss poor customer service to this day. 1 cast pole snapped in half and a week later I'm out of $115.00 + tax. That was the first and last pole I ever purchased in the Fenwick name.
  2. Thanks Jake!! This guy eats sleeps and breaths bow hunting, I'm very proud he's my brother in law couldn't mail order a better guy!!
  3. I added my bro-in-laws pics on my original post, I didn't realize it was a page back already, so I'll put them here also it's an 11 point buck he shot in Ohio on Saturday, we green scored it twice once we came up with 162, the next was 165, I don't think 165 was right I'm going to say 160 for sure.
  4. You could of parted it out a while ago?? Wanna get rid of the box of rigger parts? Knock $30.00 bucks off the whole deal.
  5. Nice vehicle Chad, I really like the 32 miles to the gal. I'm looking to update also defiantly in my price range. I currently have an 05 Ford Expedition W/6.0 L. and get 12-13 miles per gal, it sits on a 3/4 frame to pull my 22ft Sea Ray cuddy with a 350 Mercruiser I/0. That might be a little to much for your vehicle!! LOL!! Good luck with your sale, someone will get a nice ride that's for sure!!
  6. My brother in law said he shot a slammer buck yesterday, he's headed home and said guys are taking picks as the horns stick above the tailgate. When he gets home I'll get a pic. of it. He knows what what 140"s looks like he told me it F'n huge Bro, see ya in 6.5 hrs. This has been the best year so far for guys taking big bucks that I can remember, I know of a 19 point was shot not to far from home here in pa. It was a big main frame 10 with all kinds of 2-3" points sticking in all differant directions, kind of ugly if you ask me. I'll be back with a pic of bro- in-laws buck. Till then good luck to all!!
  7. Not to sound nosie, but what's the winter prodject? Are you redoing the center console, I actually moved mine ahead 6" doesn't sound like much but it made a major difference as for the space it gave us in the rear of the boat!! Good luck and be safe on the hard water. PaP. "Mike"
  8. I'm looking for a newer kicker, my old Johnson it's a early 80's modle works alright but looking to replace the old girl. Do you have any idea of amount of time on motor, why if used for a kicker would it need a new prop? My older Johnson is a 15hp, and I have a 22ft cuddy Sea Ray. The difference between a 9.9 and a 15hp is the carb on my Johnson. Just wondering if the newer 9.9's are just as efficient in power as the 9.9's.
  9. Hey you can't eat the horns!! Besides that's a respectable buck my friend, now the work begins!!
  10. Remember when you asked your dad to go hunting and he said I don't know ain't what it used to be son!!?? Welcome back to dads era!!! Ain't what it used to be.
  11. Lol prof.T you better quit, I don't want you to pick up any bad habits that might mess with your eye program, I just love reading your posts and Kevin's posts come the eye season. Did you ever venture over to the Quinte with Kevin?? That's on my bucket list to do. I've fished 20+ years in the Quebec area, float planed into lakes that we later drove to. In the early 80's drove hundreds of miles on dirt roads above the chaubugamoo or something like that area to a lake called Pourtincourt, best lake I ever fished for quantity, and all day, 1984 we fished that lake. But now the bay of Quinte is my next place I want to fish. Take care PAP
  12. AAAHH now that's how you have to deal with stupid!! Just cover it up. LOL great job!! Farmer!! LMAO

  14. Agentorange I just had to throw this in when I saw your title, my uncle has a yellow fish pole and he swears by orange jig heads, so when his one pole isn't producing, he then says to me, oh and he can't see well, he's on a Doner list for eyes. He says "get my yellow cannon, with my Agentorange jig head pole" LOL he's truely one of a kind!!

  20. Holy moly that was a great vid. you guys are surly blessed with your out door activities!!! Once that bigger buck moved in they scurried like mice, and just disappeared. Great vid on a great thread!!
  21. LOL Red Fins Yet!! Go big or go home right!!, the guys are ****ing already about the lakers we have now!!, they are the Grand Daddy of lakers, they alone would eat the lake out of house and home. This has been an interesting thread from the start. One might think they know their fish and most do, "I like to think I do" but I got a real eye opener, with some of the species mentioned here. I know all was in fun and even a gleam in our eyes. But if I ever won the lottery I would like to fish for all of the above monsters of the deep fresh water fish. All in all I got one hell of a education. That's what this site is all about. PAP.
  22. I have s Ny. and a Pa license, so I'll only have to get the reservation license, but it sounds like the better fishing is in the Ny. end. I don't know for sure.
