  1. My one daughter pops out of bed and in 10 minutes she's ready. While the other one pokes around, drives us crazy, but she's getting better!!! I don't want to give her any shyt and discourage her any. The other sister gets her cranked up enough LOL
  2. Lots of ideas but we keep going back to the same OL' same OL' maybe it's time to rejuvenate the stock with fresh eggs instead of milking the same old cow. I'd love to see them bring in those bigger coho's, like posted above they have to be bigger than the rainbow strain we have now. Food for thought!!!
  3. That's a slammer buck there KING!! Man I hope you get to shaft that one!! That'll make jerky LOL
  4. Doesn't the headline of the post say where he misplaced the bow??
  5. Well my cousins and 2 uncles got back from Ohio, where they lease land from a farmer who we met when we fished the western basin of Erie. The guy is really cool, and he hunts also. At first they used to take a camper to stay the week, as they got to know each other better the farmer let them have a smaller building, to stay in. Bob my one uncle is a mason by trade and bill is a carpenter by trade and so is his two sons. The farmer said its yours make yourself comfortable, and so they did Robert layed up the back wall in stone and a hearth for a wood stove and Bill and my cousins insulated and did the inside with rough sawn boards and the got a local cement company to bring concrete in and poured a floor and finished it off. They did this out of there pocket money, then they showed the farmer. He was so pleased he had tears in his eyes. He said fella's you have the rite to come and go as you please. The following year the farmer had running water and a bathroom put in for the guys. As time went on the farmer started to hunt with them and at night play cards, Bill put in gas lights and freezer and refrigerater so no electric!!. Just this year the farmer gave them another little building and made it into a butcher house with water and a drain in the floor. So now they have a sweet little house with a butcher house. The guys wanted me to make some jerky for themselves and the farmer, I just had a not to shabby for only doing this 20 some years, I'm going to pull the lower 2 racks the upper 3 racks need more time. I never in my life made jerky at 72* outside, I'm having a hell of a time to keep the temp down.LOL and I have 5 more racks to come out yet!! It's a lot of works as many of you guys know, but it's so rewarding when they try a piece of jerky and you can just see it's a go!! I truly like it. PAP,, =43401:image.jpeg]
  6. That's the best post I've read today!! Congrats Dad for taking the time and having the patients to introduce the younger generation to the outdoors. I know it's much easier when they're your own, and your expectations need to be set a little lower. LOL I took my 2 daughters crow hunting figuring that's pretty easy hunting, if you can stay still and stay under cover. Once the crows came they wanted to see what's going on, well that setup didn't go well as they picked the girls up rubber necking around so they could see the birds. So off we go to the next place and on the way I explained, the crows have very good eye sight and can see in color, you must pick a place that hides you but you can see out enough to get a shot or to off. They did much better and I managed to knock one down. Know there really pumped to get to the next area. We came across a couple of fields that had a huge migratory flock in it, we set up and put the MOJO Crow out with a couple decoys out I no sooner hit the FoxPro crow&owl fight, I used the first crow and set my owl in a tree with the crow spread out and here they came right in amongst the trees!! I took my 4-10 with #5 shells along and one sat in a tree no 50ft from us I gave Emily the gun, like I showed you before, put the bead right on the neck area and pull the trigger. She shot and the feathers flew and out of the tree the crow fell. We walked over to get the crow, I said well how do you feel you shot your first crow? She was shaking so bad she couldn't speak, I laughed like hell, Emy you shot a crow not your first buck, I like it a lot I want to go more, well we go more but it's getting near 10:00am, let's pack it in for this trip, we don't want to educate the crows anymore. They are very smart, you'll see when we go more often. Elizabeth was fine just going with, I told her if you want we will do one more set up, she said no on the next time I want to shoot. So I guess I got my two buddy crow hunters!! We left the house at 6:30am got back 11:45 am. Mom couldn't believe it well here's the proof 2 crows, she's still not thrilled about it yet.
  7. As much as I hate to say it that's a quick sale and for a $100.00 you can buy a lot of liquid dope, my hearts says I hope the last poster is right, my gut feelings are its gone and somebody is higher than a kite right now. They say there's a cure for criminal druggies, 12 gauge was my first thought. I had my house robbed once, and there's not a worse gut wrenching feeling. Your privacy has been invaded, I told the cop if I ever hear of or ever get a chance to know for sure who it was, you'll never know, and you'll never find "it" anyone that low doesn't qualify as "someone"
  8. Actuall lure depth as it uses a pressure sensor, you could run 3 differant divers at 3 differant depths, that's what makes this unit so much better or differant compared to the others.
  9. I always thought that if a body of water was split by a state either licenses work for both lakes, like GreenWood 1/2 NY and 1/2 NJ but since I had a NY state license I was good to go. But I talked to a guy that fished the Kinzua and he said something about the license to, he thought something about a Indian Reservation land that the NY state ends in. So maybe??. OK I guess I type to S. L. O. W LOL!!
  10. Thanks very informative, to bad this year is so dry or I'd give the Kinzua a whirl yet this year. Don't know enough to even give it a shot, Thanks PAP
  11. Let us know how ya did, if you go!! Thanks PAP.
  12. Holy moly that's a dandy!! congrats to your hunt!! PAP
  13. Does anyone know the "about time" the Kinzua gave up the 16#+ eye. I read an article about how the guy caught that eye and he knows there's a bigger one, he had it hooked and lost it. A while later he went back to the same place, "not mentioned" and I don't blame the guy, he hooked the record eye and he swears that the other eye he hooked into was not the same fish!! The other was bigger. Either it was significantly larger, or marked differantly or how else could he tell? Either way what a experience!!!
  14. Not for the working man, holy moly that's some big Yankee $$$$ to shoot a penned in deer. Clients look happy so I guess to some 10 grand to shoot 3 deer?? I'd be purchasing me some black angus fillet and some Tbones. LOL NO harm intended, so far it's a free country!!
  15. Are they wild? Or like in a huge pen like situation, they are monsters!! Looks like a turnip plant field?? Thanks for sharing.
  16. Very nice, glad to see the younger generation getting involved with the outdoors, instead of a bag of Doritos in one hand and a controller to a video game in the other. Congrats to you Kevin and the boys both young and seasoned.
  17. Thanks, saw them up in Canada, so ya, why not upstate NY. When I was up at the Oswegotchi River, in the Newton Falls area, I couldn't believe my eyes, I even closed them for a sec. to make sure it wasn't a dream. Before my very eyes stood a bull moose!! Not a huge rack but will be in a few years.
  18. Thanks for the info guys!! I just got in and wow. Well what is said here and said by the reports from the resevior area and "streams" sure are differant? But I'll go with the LOU guys, thanks for showing so much interest this.
  19. Not to sound stupid but what is that? A Martin?
  20. Thanks for the quick response, I mainly target eyes, but I will be fishing the fingers this coming year.
  21. That's one hell of a nice haul!! The sizes are defiantly there, all walks of folks are pictured also!! You defiantly have your program dialed in for sure. Thanks for sharing your photos with us, good timing also as the lake seasons come to a close, the fish photos get less and less, pics. of zombie kings just don't cut it for me anyway!! B safe and stay warm this winter, could stay like today till May then get nice!! LOL. PAP
  22. I've been doing a lot of research on this resevior, and come to find out that both NY&Pa state record walleye come from this body of water, and possibly the next musky record for either state could emerge from these waters, but it seems to be either kept quite for a reason or simply over looked, which I doubt!! There was a thread started back in early August but never got a response, I sent a Pm to the original poster a few days ago with no return, maybe they aren't glued to this site as most of us are? Anyway I'm thinking of taking my smaller boat there, cause I found that the only year round open launch, has the curtesy docks removed, and like every other body of water it's very low. If anyone else has been there I'd like to hear your personal thoughts on the Kinzua, you could pm me or open forum, just looking for a little insight, as it's a 4.5hr ride for me, 5hrs and I'm it the Black River LOL thanks PaP
  23. Be nice if you could shaft that buck, pretty cool to see him jump up the way they do!! Nice job big bucks, looks & sounds like you might want to put some time in the woods!!
  24. OOHH MYY, yea thats out of the question, 500ft down, forget about it!! Figures though, the deepest part of the lake. Well I guess it's off to the Sutton Store. LOL
  25. I would assume here DB, but one ever knows
