    Hemlock Rainbow

Wow that's a beautiful looking rainbow, Jr. looks like it might be a little heavy dad, hurry up/take the pic. That lake and its background in that pic. is awesome!! You guys are blessed to have these lakes and what they produce. We have lakes here in Pa. Most are all dead holes filled with water, Jersey has better fishing than we Pa ridge runners have. Congrats to you and jr. These type of days are never forgotten, I can take you to the creek I caught my first trout at with my dad, at the time I lived on a dairy farm in Nazrareth Pa.
  2. 42" isn't very high depending on where it's mounted, most guys run 6-8 footers and get the one which has the highest quality materials and spun to the top, Shakespeare makes a good whip with gold components and is spun with wire to the top. These radio's transmit in a strait line so the higher your antenna is the more you will receive and of course transmit. Also if you have a lot of extra Don't coil it up and use a chicken band to hang it out of the way keep the wire from touching each other. Hope this helps
  3. I guess your right guys, I keep forgetting this is the generation of social media. There's always next year! This time of the year always gets heated up and tempers fly, as some of us old school guys just can't seem to grasp onto the tell the world theory. I could give shyt less if I ever catch another King myself but I'm all for the younger generation this is not a hurray for me and screw you. If we keep this in mind it will all work out, as long as they keep the stocking program status quo.
  4. Pretty cool stuff, looks like some is vintage in the packs, are some of your spoon Suttons, like the silvers thins ones?? Neat to see differant stuff!!
  5. Just for shyts and giggles why are you selling it?
  6. X2 do you have 2 boats or one, if 2 which boats gets the awesome B-day gift??? LOL
  7. Go on Bill Saiff web site he explains how to tie a fly "salmon" those hooks he uses are for deep sea but are becoming more popular in the salmon world. I never in my life had such sharp hooks you can't even get one separated from the others with out bleeding. Minion gave me some flys to tie and I used the hooks that the Saiff crew uses both in single hook and welded triple hooks on all 3 sides. But there other hooks out there that will do the same job, should look for needle sharp point and a hardened steel hook, every fish this time of the year gets like a harder jaw bone, like Les mentioned above a single hook is a better deal in more than one way, first only has to poke 1 hole and much easier for a release, best of luck!! The price of fish just went up again!!! LOL
  8. Well those complaining should have thought twice about a "Salmon Derby" people didn't even know where Henderson harbor was before, now you got a basically a complete thread going on Henderson. This sight is great. But the demise of any fishing hole is right in your hands as your reading this post.
  9. Your most welcome Thun. I believe if the owner is happy with his/her boat than one should show appreciation towards there toy. Adding a light to the back is a good idea I actually put two on for the back!!!! Great ideas guys I actually put my reels for my boards on the upright support on mine also, my boat sits high on the water so I mounted my reels handles starboard side on the outside, and port on the inside, for ease of use, if your right handed, just reverse for lefty.
  10. Congrats Sundazed, that is a Bulldozer!! Was the better half with ya? If so congrats to the new board leader, best of luck to everyone!!!
  11. Yea buddy that is a whale, congrats on the release, hopefully that move will make someone else's day in a few years!! Yea I know it's a long shot. But it's better than a few extra $$$ given for the eggs. I commend you for your decision!! Fish on Jakeybaby.!!
  12. Yea ok then Thun, with that wide beam it's quite deceiving you would think it's a 20' ride. Very nice bet it handles LadyO quite well. Take care and be safe out there!! Thanks for the quick return. PAP.
  13. Very nice & clean, they are the cream of the crop rides. The Coast Guard uses these boats for a reason!! Best of luck with your sale!!!
  14. How long is your boat Thun? That must be a stable ride, I have a 22 ft cuddy and my is under 8ft. For a open concept that boat is really nice. I guess there is a pro & con to every boat as I have learned buying this boat, my next one will be differant in many ways. Nice ride pap. Oh yea I remember that, he used a lot of ideas from LOU guys but he had a good mind set before he ever started. Very versatile and ingenuity was the best part of his mindset.
  15. Congrats to her Chad, and like mentioned time & time again after that fish you might have to change her diaper again or your shorts LOL what a accomplishment at her age to be on the big guys board of ski's landed, bet that made some guys rub their chins!!
  16. Well I made my own also and I put 4 on, I didn't have a aluminum mig at the time so I took my planer mast and made a base it was like 4"s higher then my canopy top so I duplicated one for the other side. I used the brakes and wheels, then I welded a tab on each pole and used a piece of 3" c channel for the cross piece and notched the channel to fit my tabs on the planer masts, the I used one of my rod holders for a idea of the angle I wanted the pole holders. I had 2 1/2" stainless pipe and cut them on the angle that was determined by my rod holders and I had enough to cut 4 holders and they look good any more would out of place. On the front I welded 2 tabs for foreward lights, on the backside I welded 4 tabs two for lights in the back and 2 near the outer corners for lights to shine on my boards which I painted orange and put that reflector tape required by the D.O.T. I made a light bar toggle switch bar and wired the hole works with a 4 prong square trailer plug so I can split the wires and take the whole works apart in just a few minutes. Pretty slick I think. I'll have to put a pic. on here you can see the rod holders on my profile pic. not great but not the greatest either. Cost maybe $30.00 with the connectors and fuse block. But the led lights were expensive. I can assemble or take down by myself.
  17. Yea Joe, Wallyandre is right, at least with the lowrance products, it came with lakes insight or something, I called Navionics, it was the best move I made!! Um I told them I fish from Pa. To the northeast of LakeO, he asked what about the SLR, yea that to, then it loads on the pc. You can see what's covered and the depth contours also, plus a 118 other lakes included, I think it's 1 step down from the Platinum, because my unit couldn't process the platinum chip, depending on the unit, that will dictate what the unit can handle. But the area you want to cover you need to go onto their website then call to make sure your going to get what you want.
  18. Way to guys and gals, no offense bondouley, but I'm still stuck on 2 pics the one were your better half is reeling that big guy in or the pic. Where she's holding that bad boy, either way your a lucky man and best wishes for the best of ya's!! Yea, Minion is a super guy he took care of me, with his flies, with a heart of gold, the unrigged flies kept me busy during a tuff time in my life, you certainly surround yourself with good people. I use the mojo crow when we go crow hunting, that bad boy pulls those crows that are up in the clouds right into range of a high brass 12 guage with full choke tube in and around 5ft of leed. Great post!!
  19. Absolutely, congrats to the NY State Little League Team what a amazing season, no losses!! My girls play fast pitch softball and won the championship last year with 1 loss, that was the Lehigh valley league!! So they ended up with a 23 &1 season, the playoff was the game we lost and that team had 3 losses, but that's the way the ball bounces, 6 trophys and 1 Medal of Honor just for my girls!!! Let alone the rest of the girls, it was great!!! And again Great Job NY little league, way to keep it in our country!!!
  20. I put it to the top now I'm late but can't resist helping my eye buddies out, Guffins bay to the Clayton this time of the year, it's a quality thing not a quantity thing, gotta go bye!!!
  21. To the top
  22. Guys there's a thread on hear that has eyes out the azz I congrats. Them on their trip and they went out of Henderson. Oh it was started by Starcraft loaded, I gotta go, I'll find out later for ya.
  23. X2 there King, it does everything I need and even more if I were sorta tech advanced. We had twins and they get me out of just about any jam I get my self into? And Their only 11 years old. It's amazing how they know, almost everything they need to at their age, or even earlier!!
  24. That is a Awesome looking Atlantic, I would get a replica made of that boy!! Congrats to your day and fish Nick!!!
  25. Holy SHYT MEN!!! You guys laid the smack down on the eyes!! That's one of the best boxes of eyes since the invaisive species came to town, back in the 80's when LakeO was greenish water, not crystal clear!! Congrats fella's you deserve a handshake and a pat one the back, also they look good and only going to get better as we head towards the hard water days. Again great job guys!!! PAP.
