  1. The newer lowrance units have a cd, when was the last time you took your laptop fishing?? Really???
  2. It sounds like you have the right battery or it wouldn't say how many cranking amps on it. Usually a strictly trolling motor battery has its discharge rate at so many amps per hour. That transom mount motor bracket is the same company I got my swim platform motor bracket, it's a weird name and I can't remember the name right now. They give all the specs. so I made the template out of cardboard after I held it together I knew it would do. I traced the templates of cardboard over onto aircraft hardness aluminum and made my own. My father in law gets his tri axcels aluminum bed floors repaired at this place that had all the pieces I needed to make my own, so that's what I did and it works great!!
  3. Hey Todd if A-Lure-A can leave the dock with a battery that won't turn the main and the kicker charges the battery enough to twist the main over I'd jump on that wagon!!, this was a big discussion a few years ago. The most amp output out there was 6 amps at wide open throttle, being in the starter & alt buisness I looked into boosting up kickers as you can boost up the amperage of a stock USA alt as far as 145 amps, usually for kids with big sound systems in there cars or emergency vehicles. I couldn't come up with a user friendly system period. I don't know the output of the newer kickers, the remedy we came up with is to use a start/trolling battery and if it becomes to low start the main and let it idle for a 1/2hr. and that should charge you back up, if your running a I/O you should have at the minimum a 55 amp alt. Even at 900-1000 rpm it's putting out more than the kickers Capacity. With the main pulley bigger than the alt pulley the alt is spinning way more revolutions than the main and that's why it will be putting out at least 1/3 of its potential. Most depth finders show battery voltage, so at 9-10 volts start the main, problem solved. I have a older 15hp no charging kicker with a two battery system and a Perko battery selector and I have two start/troll batteries, they discharge way slower than a starting battery yet can handle a lot more amps being put back in at a quicker rate and still maintain the slow discharge. Where a trolling battery is designed to be charged back up slowly, also a deep cycle battery put in a charging system with a alt, the alt can't push the voltage into the D-C battery as designed so it hard on the alt usually blowing the diodes in the alt, eventually causing the alt to fail. Good luck with your decision, look into the big foot charging system.
  4. Les out of those colors I picked, half walleye colors and half trout colors. Which colors would be better for the trout species, like steelies and those Atlantics, I figured the orange colors for the steelies. I'm bring my 11 years old daughter, so I'll need action for the one, the other is like me, today, tomorrow, the next day doesn't care as long as I'm there!! Thanks for any help PAP. Also do you have or know some guys that want to sell their old and faded flashers, they don't need to be the ones with the E chip. Thanks for any feed back!
  5. That's not right, weather you pay $600 or 6000, poor customer service is not acceptable if he bought a Lowrance hds 12 he would of got the same person who can't speak English right?? So the guy has enough mental anguish without a kick to the ribs
  6. Congrats on the sale and to the buyer Zack, best of luck with your new ride!!

    Spinners

Very nice work, but a gold blade with the watermelon scheme on can't be beat in Erie. If your fishing LakeO that's a good color, my uncles were up last week and hit the smallies on pink worm rigged on a stand out hook with a 1/2 oz weight under to get 35-40ft down. Very nice job.
  11. Welcome aboard!! For a newbie, sure looks like your on to some nice fish, be safe out there!! Come the fall season, then the big bears show up!! Congrats to you on your fish!!, PAP.
  12. I had a paper bag full of Jplugs given to me buy my uncle that a older lady had she said her husband used to fish Oswego and she went through the whole story as why she wanted a fisherman to get them not someone that would throw them away. Well they smelled like a new box of moth balls.LOL anyway I put them in the dishwasher, I stuck them on the round things that stand up on the rack, the plugs fit on the wire uprights where the chain beads with the hooks go. I ran them on the fast cycle with detergent, then just the wash cycle with no detergent. Worked great and didn't smell at all. Then I sprayed a cardboard box with fish scent and now they smell just a tad fishey. That never bothered me before!! LOL you can put a shyt load of spoons in the dishwasher, I used cold and set it on the fragile mode.
  13. Wow awesome evening, way to make the best out of not the best conditions!! Rough ride out & in probable a rocking and rolling out there?, thanks for the post and the great pic. Congrats to you and your company. PAP
  14. No problem Jeff, Im really exited to hear about the RT275, that's great to hear!! I know your working on more colors, one must remember when first starting out with a business no one has all their products up front!! I know being in business for myself for 22 years. I started at the bottom and slowly worked my way up that I could stock inventory, and have the first new units available, this takes time and $$$$. I'll be looking forward to your new inventory come the new year, it only can get better Jeff!!! Pap
  15. I would be willing to bet it's around $200.00 a pound in my freezer, if that covers it.LOL
  16. Yea thanks man, I'm really looking forward to the staging kings this year, and the Browns, and of course the eyes.
  17. Which type of presentation was your most successful?. I want to run these spoons to see what's the most successful for the trout family and in the fall when the eyes strap on the feed bag figure out the best eye color then get multiple spoons of the same colors. Was there any spoon that was a stand out for you? Thanks pap!!
  18. Yea I have a swim platform and the reason I didn't go with the cable is mine has a nice Crome with the color of the boat plastic piece in the middle trim piece and the cable would eventually kind of saw threw it, but Dan made has a good idea coated cable, I didn't see that when I was deciding which I was going to use.
  19. Thank you guys, I know I wasn't the first to do this. I really wanted Jeff to make a smaller profile of this spoon, I think it would set the walleye guys into a whole new world!! So I did the next best thing, why not put walleye colors on Jeffs spoons, this time of the year they could double up as a trout spoon and a eye spoon. Can't wait to swim these bad boys. Thanks Les, and rdebadts, I know both you guys have and seen these lures produce!! Tight lines guys.
  20. I saw this idea being used before, so I thought I would ask these guys if they agreed to this then I will go ahead and do this, they claimed they both work together so I sent some blank Revolution spoons to Nick and put a little magic to them!! Here's the end result.
  21. When you replace your release cord if you have enough length, what I did was put an I hook on top the transom, put the cord through the the hole in the I hook. I bought a handle like on a pull start lawn mower and tied it to the handle so there was no slack in the line, and you could pull on the cord hard to make sure it disengage the flap release. Plus it looked a little more presentable. I would lube it with a good grade of grease, those others will wash off pretty fast, where the grease will stay longer, plus it's a better lube for that type of thing. Happy trolling LOL.
  22. Nice eye guys!! If there hitting keep at it. Congrats there young man!!
  23. YEA' BUDDY!!! That's a good night in anyone's book, they look good and beefy also. Congrats to the both of ya's on a two man limit faster then most people figure out where there going fishing. LOL
  24. A couple of weeks ago they got a 3ft alligator out of the Lehigh RIve near Lehighton. Made the local news
