Damn man a 20ft cuddy, you can go pretty much most of the time, yes get better rod holders preferred metal with a metal base, if you dipsys are doing keep at it. I would invest in riggers sometime but a probe will put more fish in the box. There are day my riggers are along for the ride as the dipsys are doing all the work. I would get me two slide divers, and put a 30ft fluro leader on and keep your sliders on the mono, and that gets as good as it gets shy of riggers.

The eye are in their migration mode towards the Bay of Quinte, but not all make the treck to Canada, there are many resident fish to be had. Coming out of Chaumont Bay it drops into 60-90 feet with a 30ft deep peninsula, get a map of the NE Onterio and you will see what I'm talking about. Also around Cherry Isl is good this time of the year. Out of Henderson Stoney point light house there is a place called the Wall, many eyes are taken from this area but it is very tricky to fish, I would do a few trial runs, and it has to be calm for you to do this. Also there is a green can off the sunken island it drops from 5ft into 90ft work the drop offs of that island, below the can in 60ft troll strait to the Canadian border. Just one thing to keep in mind about LakeO eye fishing is about quality not quantity to get your 1 man limit 3 you will be on fire!! If you need more help pm me and I will try to help you out. Black/silver Bomber Long A's and silver/blue or any 5-6" stick bait that resembles Alewives or goby brown, snap weights work good, like 75ft out snap weight and another 75 ft out at 1.8-2.0 mph. Good luck to you!! You can fish the Black River, she gives up some nice eyes also. PAP

Cabela's has their own version of the yeti, still $250 OUCH, I have yet to need to keep fish froze for a week, in the cooler, filleted in the freezer at camp. Froze fish in cooler with a 4hr ride home, in freezer again.

Carp, soon they will be over in in muska something bay tearing the place up making it look like chocolate milk. Some of the biggest channel cats I ever caught were from that area

Wow Rick that's awesome!! I have to say I fell in love again, on the 3rd of July pics the 4th pic from the top what is that beautiful fish, is it a Atlantic?? What ever fish that is, is one hell of a nice looking fish!! I caught kings and rainbows but that fish takes your breath away, I would get a replica of that fish made!! Thanks for the great pics, and the eye candy. LOL

Your most welcome, I know the price is outrageous but our dealer carries it. Couldn't you order it through Tractor Supply? Our local store carries it, and a heavy duty truck repair shop should carry it, might have to buy a 5 gallon bucket of it though. I'd think the 15w/40 would be just as good. What hell is 5w differance going to do, nothing, might be better so the oil gets to the upper part of the engine faster. I have a pm to Hank about this, I wanted to hear from a professionals point of view!! I'll let you know once he gets back to me! P

Thanks guys I'll keep this in mind, I get the feeling that she thinks she has a gold mine, as she mentioned the base was a $ 100.00 it's self. I think I'm going to purchase the new 5 magST as guys told me my 4ft booms will work as they only come with a 2ft fixed booms. Cabela's has them on sale for $399.00 so I think that's the rout I'm going to go. My daughters are getting very interested in the silvers, their is way more action with them, so I need to run 12+ lbs weights I need other riggers to handle this weight. My Wife said she would go like she used to, she out fishes me every time. My ultimate goal would be to have my family with me, I prayed many a years that this would happen.

Are there shops in our region that work on hull rivet replacement?
Xxx replied to white rook 1's topic in This Old Boat
I bought a air operated rivet gun that I did some aluminum boat repairs on. It does a way better job than any hand operated tool, just grind the head off and punch the old rivet threw, for the best job like stated above its best to replace old saturated foam, this way you can clamp the two pieces of aluminum together before riveting. A few of our local auto body shops paint boats also. I don't see why the local shops up there wouldn't do it for you? Either way keep us posted on your findings!! -
X2. I had a 1988 Troller boat that the Coleman doubled as a seat with a removable snap on seat cushion that is still in action to this day as a cooler/fish box. My dad bought the boat off a Gulf War Vet in 1993. The Veteran bought the boat new in 1988. 28 years later still going strong. I replaced the drain fitting a few years ago and the hinges to the lid with brass house hold hinges. Still holds ice for 3+ days. Made some 20+ years worth of trips on 18hrs plus trips to Canada filled with our grub for a weeks fishing and our catch on the way home still froze solid. Wouldn't buy any other best bang for your buck!!
-
Well hell ya, LOL if it's doable I was thinking I would first see what the new roller consisted of and go from there. Again thanks for your assurance this will work. Getting that this is great feeling, almost like Christmas Eve, can't sleep over this at $400 a piece this is definatly doable!!!
-
Thanks that exactly what I needed to know, as far as the tip roller I'll just keep the original rollers from the 4ft booms, will the body of the 5st accept the 10a's boom or will I need to turn it down on the lathe? Either way I'll adapt and over come!!! Thanks for the info!! PAP
-
I hope I can use my booms off the 10a's even if I have to turn down the end a little on the lathe so the 5 ST body will accept the my booms!!! We shall see LOL
-
Yes I plan on taking the booms off my 10A'S and putting them on my new 5ST when I get them, Cabela's has them on sale for $399.00. I only have a 89" beam so that would definitely a cluster, well you know what I mean, plus I'm not that good of a angler to run that many lines. LOL I want to thank those who assured me I can do what I thought might be possible!! These 10A's for years and I have caught many of my first time fish of differant species, sounds wierd but I would like to keep a part of the old girls still a part of my arsenal on the 1 WORM!! I appreciate all the posts that answer all my questions!! Thanks guys!!

I have a swim platform that my kicker is affixed to and my cooler is mounted there also and my 3 gallon fuel cell for the kicker also. I have modified the platform beefed up with SSteal brackets. I'd hate to loose all this. I could run them at a 90* and move my 10A's in for shallow fishing, then I'd have 4 riggers.
-
The price is in my area on the 5 st cannon riggers only down fall is I need 4ft booms. Has anyone tried to lengthen the booms, I have mag 10A's with 4ft booms can I use those or don't they have the some dimensions they look smaller from the pics. Cabela's has them on sale for $399.00 what's your thoughts on this. To get the telescopic booms that's another $350.00 on the next rigger that has these booms
-
Man nice work guys, congrats on the eyes, you did one hell of a job!! PAP

Black Whaler1, I was thinking $150 then she said it has a hundred dollar base with it but it's a fixed base with about a 3" berts tackle sticker on it so I thought I'd offer at max $175. Like King Slammin said if I took the $200 and put $200 to then at least I could get a real rigger that could lift my 14# torps. What do think??
