  1. I was going to try 50# braid, but it goes like I said line out to the desired setback - the amount of line it take to achieve the depth, basically the same as a regular dipsy?
  2. I was wondering if the guys that run these things could help me understand them a little more. First how do you determine the amount of line out before you engage the diver? Say you want to be 150 behind the boat do you let out 75 and say it take 75ft to achieve the depth, if this is the case what's the benefit of a slide diver? I have 2 of these divers, I assume you put these on a pole to stay as there kind of a pita to install and then remove them, it's not the end of the world but I wouldn't think these are to remove and put on like a regular dipsy, again I'm not familiar with them yet. Thanks for any help!!! PAP.
  3. man that's a damn good price!! I have the same boat, these boats handle big water very well, by the way I have my HDI mounted the same place, the little sink area!! Good luck with your sale. I wish I had something like this come my way when I was looking for a boat!! I gave 4G just for the boat!!!

Looks sweet ED!! I like the V he made in the deck, gives you a little side room to walk on, put a roof on that and it will be like an outside garage!!! Nice

  9. I used a industrial strength parts cleaner poured it in let it set for a while. Bought a bag of marbles and then shook the living $hit out of it kept the solvent and the marbles. Repeated this till I could see it getting better, then dumped fuel and the marbles shook the hell out of again looked pretty good. Put a inline filter past the the primer bulb if an I/O put a water seperator or a inline filter before the carb, preferably

  16. Yea I have to agree with ya hermit, I have a Colman cooler that doubled as a seat on a center console. I put a pedestal seat in its place. "had 6 snaps which held a cushion on it" the boat was a 1988 and still the coolers still going strong. Yes I replaced the plastic hinges with brass cupboard hinges, I used 3, and I replaced the screw on cap at the bottom, I got that from Cabela's" this Friday its leaving for Quebec Canada for a week, hopefully coming back full of eye fillets. I will buy another Colman in the same size, if I get another 28 years I'll be tickled pink!! Oh 1 other thing mine also had a crack in the middle which I fixed with an epoxy of some sort due to stupidness by someone throwing frozen meat on to the bottom. Yes I bought ice but not $6-7 hundred dollars worth!!!!
  17. Doesn't that figureLOL
  18. Amazing what a days time can do when fishing for eyes. Congrats Gene!!!

    Long weekend

The SLR right now is a night bite and and Erie is the same, talked to some friends of mine out of association isl. they caught 2 males still milting. I remember the second week of June my wife and I had crazy fast action with the eyes, as fast as I could net and get a worm on the harness she had another, we caught them tight against the cat tails, in less the 10' of water. That was then. If we hadn't of drifted in there and she had a eye on I would have never gone that shallow, the depth alarm was going off till I turned it off so 2-3ft that's where they were. The wind blew the same way for 2 days and we had 2 days of great fishing.
  20. With the fishing the way it's been Chase, do you really need a new cooler?? maybe to keep the beer cold once your off the water LOL, yea I'm in need of one also but I'm not paying a couple hundred $$$ for a cooler, I don't care what the name of it is.
  21. Yeeaaww, that's some DEEP fishing, but hey you figured it out!! Thanks for the post.
