  1. That one spoon looks right like a Michigan spoon, chicken wing, that spoon produces!! I'll be ordering some of those babies, like you mention their paint sucks I got plenty of silver spoons!!
  2. I'm a Lowrance guy, so my words might be a little bias, the main reason I didn't go with the some of the others, was the after market chips the other didn't accept One being Hummingbird and the Raymairine dragonfly, you were locked into what was in the sonar. They didn't accept the Navionics chips. Being on boats that had this setup and I really liked what I saw. At the time the Elite7 hdi you could choose from a boat load of cards for Lowrance units, only to find out the Elite accepts from the Premium on down, so no 3D for us, they used a lesser grade of a processor than the 7,8,9,hdi units that accepted the platinum chips. I don't think there is one unit that has everything one needs. This is in my own belief. Good luck finding a sonar that suits your needs, it's not easy!!
  3. I totally agree Justin, we also must remember that the O'older gen and there's some out there yet, have this kill'em all attitude I personally know a few of them and I tried to explain they aren't killer whales, just a waist of time. I'm 50 years old so soon there will be more "Fish" educated fisherman than the old ways, yes there will be a hand full of those kind of fisherman but I truly believe the catch and release guys are understanding how long it takes for a fish to get that length, most people really wake up when I tell them that fish your holding is older than you, especially the late teens or younger. There's no cure for this, other than us guys playing fish warden. Maybe then "those" guys might be a little reluctant to get out their Bowie Knife!!
  4. If it wasn't for the wrapper I would swear these were Michigan stingers. Spoons, if they aren't no wonder they work so good!!!
  5. What a picture perfect ride. I wish you well that is a thing of beauty!!!
  6. Maybe this was the same dude that the two guys video, some time ago, knowing that a camera will get him in trouble, acting under an alias lets one act like ass which he has already proved to many including us. Write it off as one seeking attention!!!!
  7. I can tell you what you guys are just starting to see has been an on going problem in PA. The exact same problems, way to many doe tags, some guys I know had 3 tags and a buck tag. In the beginning it was great lots of meat everyone was happy, but not using their heads, every doe you shoot your killing 2 possible 3. Now the deer population is piss poor to say the least, so to paint a good pic. for the hunters they came out with a 3 point rule on one side, which in turn has made bigger racks, but the damage is done. You can have huge horned bucks but with no does what good does it do. I blame the greed of the PA. Hunters for 3 years it was great now the same guys are the first to complain, wtf. You guys created your own demise. Our problem is their are to many developments right up against hunt able land they learned quickly with the first crack of a rifle it much safer staying close to the feeders in the back yards of the NY&NJ city folks little 1/3 acre of land with alfalfa bails and 100# of corn in a feeder, that's where I'd be if I were a deer. The game comm. along with the bigger auto ins. Comp. have the deer population right where they want them. DONT let this happen to you guys!!!
  8. Awesome guys, this winter sure has been a strange one, many got a tast of winter Browns, with the good results so far I hope come spring is just as good. Not that it goes from 28* to 70* in a day or two.
  9. That's a real good idea Griz. That's probably what I'm going to do
  10. I certainly understand your frustration, but look what they "Lowrance" did to us guys first the 5HD they said this was the top of the line, and don't expect to much for the next few years. This is how they screwed me I bought the Elite 7 HDI don't get me wrong I really it. The rep. I talked to at cabelas told me this is top shelf unit, the other HD units are what we are going to focus on, YEA RIGHT!!! By fall they had the HDI chirp, and by spring they had a HDI9 now a HDI 9 with chirp I mean come on. The way all these companies are going our units today will be obsolete in 2 years. I even waited a year, so I guess I should have bought it that same day, but I was glad I didn't with all the glitches they had. I think the days where we ran the same unit year after year are gone. The guys that need all the best of the best better have a thick wallet. Same as these temp units how many guys run the sub Troll for years, dealt with the coated cable problems. We dealt with it. I think with the way society is going (they) need instant gratification and the way to acheive this is have all the newest gadgets. I understand that a charter Captian needs this kind of tooling, but one other thing comes to mind is all these tourney that pay big bucks. The guys with the most updated units think they have the best shot. I know guys that have say teams put together and they all contribute funds to the boat, so now you have 4 wallets supporting 1 boat, and they also split the $$$..
  11. Well that was quick !! I have all the books, when I ordered them from Mark I actually got to talk to him. He is a everyday type of person, very down to earth man. I don't think I payed more than $35.00 a peice for all of them. Lots of good info in there.
  12. Thanks Big Water, looks like you and Yankee are on the same page, what area are you fishing! The NE end of Lake'O the long shallows work better so I was told, but that last year. I think it was Paul C. Giz you are correct, the first one was a mistake!!! For sure. I think I got the last one from the old school! Her dad and brother both hunt, fish, go to block shoot, so she was used to that kind of lifestyle. We do a lot of canning, pickles, red beets we do our own corn for the winter. She also makes a mean meat pie, rabbit squirrel, pheasants what ever the good lord provides, my kids won't eat corn out of the can, and they love deer meat. She was a special ED school teacher for 15 years and went back to regular ED the last 4. My wife has a ton of patiants, to me those are special people to do her job. Thanks for your input Mike
  13. That's ok I got damn spell check gets me to. Yea he sent me a Email with his contacts and other stuff, nice guy and I've never met him, that I know of. LOL
  14. This is really a small world, Jeff is married to the l think granddaughter of a guy I have known all my life, he told me if I wanted some spoons that he would bring them over to Billy's house they have breakfast every Sunday there, that's only 5-6 miles from my house in Kresgeville Pa. Oh where is the show in March???
  15. Thanks to all you guys!! I just had a little surgery in-out, they placed a morphene pump in my back to try to curb the pain, they claim it goes to the nerves and doesn't get into the blood so it won't make me any more goofy then I already am. Things are tight right now so I'd like to get this right. I'd like to purchase 2 of the best colors till I hit near $100.00 no more. My wife said if I really want them we could swing that!! She has held this household together for 3 years and for her to tell me this brought a sense of great happiness, that's hasn't been a thought of mine for a long time. I greatly thank you guys!!! PAP "Mike"
  16. Not me!! It's better to be pissed off than pissed on!! LOL keep em coming whaler.
  17. Spring Browns are right around the corner!! I was wondering those who ran Bay Rats which length and color/name was good for you. I am going to place an order soon but would kind of like to know what direction to go. There are reasons that I'm asking this. I can't swing a big order but would like to be able to swim a few of these new lures. Thanks to those willing to give out some info. If willing but not really, if you know what I mean please PM me. Thanks PAP.
  18. That's an awesome pic. NITE. NITE WILEY beep beep your a$$. ☠â˜
  19. I would have to agree with the above statements, as hard as you are of a fisherman, I'd stick with your bigger glass rides. But it wouldn't be the first time I was called a "pussy"cat
  20. I just wanted to let you know I really appreciate you input, if anyone has come across a delemia it would you as charter captain you certainly put the time in which in that theory you would find all the weak spots fast. I'm on the water approx 10 times a year, with that said I certainly don't need any more problems that I already have encountered. I had a 1987 Chevy pickup that ate pickup modules like candy, I always carried a spare part and a long torx bit screwdriver. LOL. I'll have to look into this a little deeper! Thanks Yankee!!!
  21. That's funny you say that, that's one thing my uncle was very concerned about he wanted me to do this before he sat the dist. back in. He said that's very important especially with the dwell. Well that's the second time in my life I heard this. The bushings cost less than the shipping, that should surprise anyone, anymore. Thanks for posting PAP.
  22. Good time to be using the male challange or single dominate call, or the female invitation howl!! I also had good luck with two males fighting. I like a lot and had my best action using Dennis Kirk sounds. Do you guys have different calls you might want to share. I had my Fox Pro programmed by Fox Pro with mostly Dennis Kirk sounds. Thanks for any feedback.
  23. That would be a real cool one to get the hide tanned.!!!
  24. Do you think it would be better than a duel point dist.?
  25. Wow that's nice, thanks for sharing!!!
