Cool!! It's nice to see companies with the flatter wallet in mind!! We like to fish also, just like the depth finders, now a good sonar is with in a working mans budget. The first I heard about this Smart Troll I liked the theory, but wanted to sit back and listen, before making a decision, still didn't make up my mind what I want. This has me thinking ðŸ“ðŸ“

Holy shyt, on a fly rod yet, that is a milestone accomplish Larry. I believe that's bigger than anything caught on River Monsters, that he claims people disappear from those fish. I was sceptical at first but after seeing two grown men holding the fish with lots of fish extending both in front and behind you guys it makes his theory more realistic. With your accomplishments already in the record books let's hope you have a little wiggle room for an even bigger one!!! Good luck, keep us posted of your catches.

I think that different fish species react to baits differently. I have yet to see a walleye streak 20ft let alone 40ft. Up or brown. Most all the guys that try to educate people, whether it's a tv show or a charter, they want those lures 5ft above the fish, that 5ft is sometimes 10ft above to 5 below this is just my experience. Nothing is 100% but it does get you in the ball park.

Les is right on track with his info. I would like to add on the Elite units with down scan, I have the 83/200 but the down scan is 455/800 which I find myself using, I mainly fish for eyes therefore I can see the bottom "rocky bottom or drop offs" it also shows my rigger weights but not my baits as I run to long of leads for any sonar to pick up. I just thought I'd throw that out there also. Good luck with your decision. PAP

Ice fisherman survived after 20 min under the ice
Xxx replied to muskiedreams's topic in Ice fishing
Man that guy burned up all of his nine lives in two outings, thank god he got lucky both times as his last trip put the icing on the cake. I'd find a different hobbie that required both feet on the ground -
My brother-in-law and I decided that we are going to renew our permits, like dumb a$$es we never kept them current, will post our "go abouts" hopfully we won't have any problems as PA. Is a open carry state. We live in different counties, where I live in Carbon County is a bit easier as we don't have the Pocono's influence, because we don't have the New York City rip raf and all the drug trafficking back and forth. He is in constant fear with what goes on by his house, even know he's not in the developments. He has witnessed many transactions, can't 100% say it's drugs, but what else could it be at the early hrs. of the night/morning.

I think that's pretty cool, what a way to move around on a electric motor only lake. If you do fall through your still dry in your boat. lol

There are good things using bags, once you get them positioned on your boat you will like them. I ran a rope from the foremost cleat to the back cleat and played around till I found a sweet spot. You don't want them near the back as they could cause problems, prop, interfering with hooks ect. I liked them right about buy the driver seat, and in rough seas they will hold your boat more stable in the water, almost like a anker to the water, they hold the boat down making for a better troll in rough seas. I since went to a kicker and never looked back. Some guys use bags all the time. They don't want the added bother with a kicker, which I understand also.

I would be more concerned as to why it pulled out to begin with and why the next size up didn't solve the issue. Maybe a soft transom board? I hope I'm wrong for your sake!!
