  1. X2. So many times we hear 3-4 good lines to try but never a return as to which one was the best. This is a on the scene at the scene report with one so great never got to use the other. Thanks for the return info and tight lines to you
  2. With all this crap going on over seas and letting these towel heads into this country, it's only going to get tougher. They want to see paperwork and a face to match the paperwork. They are only protecting themselves and I don't blame them. It sucks for use because we get caught up in this mess, especially us guys that fish the NE it's very easy to go over the line. A good stone throw from Galloo and your flirting with the line or maybe disaster. Last night I saw a state out west wouldn't let a refugee off the plane. Don't care where you go but not here!!!!! Well I guess Connecticut said they could enter their state.
  3. Yea thanks,Power Dive. I even impressed myself, but my daughters age 10 picked the color sceme's. But they are nothing compared to whoever painted those iridescent color spoon, give that man a cigar!!!!
  4. Nice yote one more dead one leave 25-35 #'s. of meat stays walking in the woods, nice to see there's one less of these critters in the woods. Nice job, PAP
  5. Very useful info there I wish I had this info before I bought my Navionics I chose the 1 below the platinum and it is of the northeast. I'm very pleased with it but mine is a 3 foot contour chip and I needed the mini chip which was included.
  6. These are the most impressive spoon colors I ever saw great, I mean GREAT spoon colors. PAP
  7. Ok just didn't want to ruin your grate thread you guys got goingWe started out with just a grey lead head, we put all the goodies including the eyes, they were designed to be trolled behind the ball for stripers in our local lake. Thank guys.
  8. I enjoy buying and collecting antique lures of such, not really into reels but would really like to see a pic of this reel. Thanks pap.
  9. Very impressive spoons. I would like to show you my jigs my daughters and I made but they come out upside f'n down, on here!!! keep up the good work fella's !!!!
  10. LOL, I don't deal well with people who want to knee jerk you around on prices. Or do all the leg work getting prices for shipping then their phone dies or the wife intercepts the deal
  11. Holy crap your kidding??!!
  12. Think it would be better to peice it out, there's really not enough goodies there for a lake fisherman and to large of an item for a stream fisherman. I could be wrong and by no means am I bashing you. Just looking at it from the outside seeing both sides it doesn't add up as a package deal. Good luck with your sale.
  13. No fence, he and 2 others stepped in poop at a tractor pull and this farmer was willing to lease them the land, first they need to get 3 deer for him rack not required then they have 130 acres of wooded land to prep for themselves. The taxidermist green/ rough scored it at 168 without the drop tine and some other stuff that "might" get it to 170. He is a hard core archery bow only type of guy. Thanks for flipping the pics. I was told IPads and other devices tend to flip the pics. THANKS WMPAUL he also aged the deer at 41/2-5years old. Just proves to let the young bucks walk. But who has 100 some acres to let shooter bucks go, I feel the same way I try to take them around age 3 or Better, but joe at the other end of the wood shoot as long as it has 3 points so what's a man to do. That's hunting in high pressure woods.thanks for the kind words I'll have to show him your guys posts he's still on cloud nine. LOL PAP

  15. I don't waterfoul hunt but I do a hell of a lot of crow hunting, I won't leave the house without my mojo crow. Defiantly gets their attention so the shooters can do their thing. Crows see color so the wings rotating gets their eyes focused on the decoy rather than movement in the brush or black barrels swinging amongst the trees. You won't be disappointed maybe a little lighter in the wallet.
  16. I give up its upside down, how do you fix that?
  17. Why not, the United states allowed tons and tons of medical wast like the stuff in patients room the red box with a skull and crossbones on it and only God knows what else. The next summer the folks at the New Jersey shore were swimming with the hypodermic needles and cancerous biopsies floating amongst the beach goers. They closed the beaches and fine combed them for months and put nets out to catch the trash washing a shore. This is true, where paula and I lived before we got married and built our house, the guy next door was a merchant marine, and he filled us in when it hit the news. So now the USA is laying low because it's the old pot calling the kettle black!!
  18. Well Dan congrats on your day/catch, the guys look extremely excited, no I don't think you'll have to beg for company on the next time, again Congrats to you and the boy!! One the other hand we must share some of the same brain waves, we are going striper fishing also but one thing different is we won't be in the ocean. My two daughters helped me make up some hair jigs for striper fishing. If I were a little more tech savvy the pics. of our pretty impressive looking jigs are in the I Pad. I promised them I would take them fishing so Wednesday, mom(a teacher) said they need to do their math class which is the first class then I can get the girls and take them fishing. I hope we can land one and I'll run harnesses up higher for an eye. If all fails I'll take minnows and worms, their happy doesn't matter what's on the business end. Sad to think the season is damn near finished. Baaaa Humbug!!!! Stay warm and safe this winter!! PaP.
  19. You are very welcome, if you have a little mechanical experience and are not a person that thinks Rome was built in a day, this job isn't in need of a masters degree in natural aspirated motors. Do one at a time so you have a pattern to follow should you get lost. Maybe purchase a repair manual of your motor/lower unit, that will tell you where the presets from the factory are, and if you don't have already a torch tip cleaner. This has all the different size wire cleaners in it, I'm sure there's a much fancier carb cleaner kits but that's all I ever used and served me fine. I've rebuilt carbs from snowmobiles to chainsaws to Holley 4 barrels, the only carbs that tried my patience was the Chrysler lean burn carbs. You will be fine, and make absolutely sure there is no dirt where your working!!! Good luck
  20. Yea, after Capt. Larry comes back from South America, I plan on getting in touch with him and knock one of my bucket list trips out of the way. Then my next trip will be to go where you went for eyes, and also hit the Detroit RIver, they just had a turney there and all I can say is WOW!! Again Congrats this is your turn to SHINE!!! Nice job.
  21. I did the carbs. On my Evinrude 88-88spl, if they are the same which I woud suspect, the direction will read you need to drill out areas that are capped off from the factory, it will say to remove jet so& so but you don't see it, because this is where you need to drill the aluminum out so you can get at the jet. At first it seems a little intimidating but you will be fine, just match the drill bit to the sunken area in aluminum use a cordless drill on the slowest speed and you will be fine, I think I had to on each carb. Good luck take your time and it will turn out just fine. I had no one to inform me of such and yours might be already done, but if not you have an idea of what to do. Pap.
  22. Congrats on you trip\catch, did fish for any eyes while you were up there?
  23. That's an excellent price, I just paid $40.00 just for the lower units from the same time period. Because I forgot mine at home!!!
  24. Yea that's because everyones on the striper kick, give it a week or two it will be back to normal. That lake is 3 miles from my driveway and yes it's a tough lake to fish, there's so much bait fish there's no need for them to seek out food. Boils down to being at the right place at the right time.
