  1. Thanks a ton Ifishy, I watched the video and it was on a local channel. The guy is from Scranton Pa. Which kind of puzzled me as he is way closer to Lake Wallenpawpack which is supposed Have a way population of stripers then our little
  2. Nice haul there shark, congrats to your day!! PAP.
  3. What ounce jig should I use to run off the riggers at 2mph so it doesn't fall lower or raise above the ball? I watched a charter come to our local lake and he trolled a Spro hair jig with a 5 to 6 inch chartreuse swim bait about 50ft behind the ball and he was doing rather well with this theory. he was running 4 lines at 10ft increments so they had to track rather strait off the balls. What's your take on the weight of the hair jigs? Thanks for any info. Want to give this a shot before I put her away for the winter! PAP.
  4. Yea been on both ends of the rope also, good karma always rewards those who help others in distress! After my lower unit went south during the heat of the eye season, I will never forget the nicest local that was mowing his lawn took time out of his schedule to get us out of the water and back to camp. He said his favorite thing to eat is a coffee chocolate cake, so my wife made one and the last time we were up I delivered his cake, he was so appreciative, he had to fight the tears.
  5. It's a good thought even if it's only that!! It shows some have the initiative to grab the bull by the horns!! I can only imagine what one would have to go through. I'm involved with a gun club and we raise our own trout, amazing the amount of guys that show up to fish, but last year we needed to make repairs on the hatchery and it's only the same guys that show up when we mention the words "help" "work" just makes a man wonder sometimes, ironically I'm the youngest that shows up and I'm 50 yrs old and the other got 10-20yrs on me, but the 30 and younger are there when the bell rings one the opening day! Go figure.
  6. Those creepy little bastards are thick in northeastern PA. My brother-in-law had 7 of them stuck on him but they didn't have their heads buried under his skin. His wife couldn't do it, {she's a little weird} so he called me in 15 minutes the surgery was over but I itched all the way home. LOL
  7. Why couldn't you use a silicon in clear. Give each rivit a dab and flatten it out a little with your finger and good to go stayed on my windshield for years. 100% silicon comes in a tube use a calk gun, just a thought?
  8. That's an amazing photo album, I don't think to many would argue that point!! Congrats to your season, with a big shout of good luck to you next year!!! Thanks for sharing all the beautiful fish pics. It's truely amazing how the colors of the different species appear, when you look at them from the opposite end of the spectrum, meaning the photos verses at the back of the boat. Have a safe and warmer winter!! PAP.
  9. Good Greif man your blessed, size 12 shoes and Ankle High RUBBERS. You should be in the movies!!!! LOL, good luck with you sale I'm out.
  10. Yea I hear ya, I have 2 that are fully equipped and one I bought just for the outdrive, so spare 350 ect. I'm going to strip the Baha and then smash it with the backhoe and take it the dump. This winter. I just heard her NO more BOATS but but honey LOL
  11. Thanks for sharing I hope that they can accomplish this in lakeO, I especially like the idea of the walleye making a comeback. If those lakes can do it I'm sure lake O can accomplish the same. Thanks again GILL T
  12. Yea that's the same boat, same pic. Sequence now there's a soft spot in the back of boat and the lower unit is off to be repaired I assume. Says $2500.00 on CL. And motor is a 05, which still could have low hrs on it. It's definitely a project boat but I say 2gs is still a grate price for that boat. I would definitely buy this boat but with 3 in the driveway now my wife would come unglued LOL
  13. Ahh thank you!! You guys a true inspiration to the walleye folks including me. Stay warm and safe through the winter months. I want to read more of you post from the SLR. Your freind PAP
  14. With all the other pics. They are crystal clear, why are these so fuzzy, kind of like the Big Foot photos. Yes the lighter one looks like hyena.
  15. well I'm glad to Hear you didn't get hurt or your truck smashed, it looks like a nice size bear that could have done some serious damage. Thanks for the reply!! PAP
  16. Nice haul on the birds, usually the guy who shoots the most kills the least. LOL Kevin in the photo which guy is Prof. T. Would like to put a face to the name since we heard so much from you guys fishing the SLR. If he wants to stay anonymous I fully respect that. PAP. Shoot me a pm if that's more comfortable for him.
  17. Bottom line is you got out on the lake!!! Everything else is a bonus. Hopfully this weather holds out so we get one more shot at our favorite water hole. Best of luck, stay warm this winter.
  18. How much damage to the truck. Were you able to keep the bear?
  19. The forage out of the lake your fishing most of the time works better, yes fat heads are way cheaper, but we are referring to 2-31/2" they are $3.75 to 4.25 a dozen when fishing is good you go through a couple dozen a day. During this period of time you get big $$$ into bait plus it's something to toy around with, it's a challenge soon to be a obsession. Being able to keep them alive after you worked your a$$ off. Nothing about fishing is profitable we all know that. Being able to access bait in the winter on a Sunday morning at 5:00am is next to impossible.
  20. LOL, now that's funny, hey Fox you have a great sence of humor "Master Bait-er" when we were in Canada we fished 3 in a boat and I was in the middle, well the fishing got fast and furious before you know it all I'm doing is breaking worms into 3's and handing dad and skip worms, that night that's what they called me The Master Baiter LOL
  21. I had similar issues with my church boards, then one day a 2 watt bulb came on in my head, what if I send out the dipsy to the length I want on a O setting and only send it out a few feet? then I can see which way I need to go with the weight, 2 or 3 pulling them in and back out I got them dialed in!!😄😄 just an idea
  22. X2, anyway welcome to the site, sounds like you'll fit right in.
  23. WoW that is a slammer, Congrats on your hunt, must have been a real sence of accomplishment after doctoring up the scrape then 2 years later you get to wrap your hands around his horns!! I still can't get over the body mass those northern bucks and does get. Again Congrats PAP.
  24. All the above is spot on. Keeping the water clean from their own nature calls is a big key factor. The cost of keeping minnows out ways the cost of buying bait, plus the idea of just getting the bait when the mood strikes you is worth it to me. But I will say it's like having a pet, they need your attention or they will die!
  25. I'm mean really? I paid 4g and got that much into it mechanically, let alone all the fishing goodies, but I did transfer a lot over from my other boat which never gave me a lick of trouble!!! All because I wanted a 22fter with a cuddy so I didn't have to pick and choose the days I could fish. I had a 18fter center console open bow. Good luck with your sale it's a steal at 2gs!!!!
