You are very welcome, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Glad you were able to find the problem fast.

If it starts by bypassing the start section of the solinoid, check the voltage at the little wire or post, should be no less than 2/10th of a volt difference from battery voltage to start wire. A solinoid takes a full 12 volts at the start term to pull in the sol. If that checks out it could be an ignition problem not sending the 12v. to the sol. Being its so intermittent that this will be a tuff one. Good luck with it!!! PAP

All the boats I ever had were outboards, never had any major problems, but I always wanted an I/O, well I'm ready to go with a newer 4 stroke outboard, my buddy has one amazing!!! Can troll at 1.0 mph with his motor you can drop rpm's to get any speed you want. All with paddles on the steering wheel right side is up in rpm left side is down, the paddles are like the shift models of a automatic trans on a sports car, like my wife's honda sport.

Xxx replied to Irishluck's topic in Boats for Sale
Sweet looking ride!! I have almost the same boat, except mine is 8ft shorter, I also know about the expense of these boats I also rebuilt 1 motor and complete lower unit, but I guess that goes with whatever brand you may own!! Good luck with the sale of your Sea Ray, they certainly handle the big water with ease!! -

This whole bunch of guys and ladies deserve a 2 thumbs upðŸ‘👠I think it awesome when people take the time out of their busy schedule and put a lot of time and commitment into a event such as this!! Nothing makes me feel better than seeing a young child with a fish and a smile. Congrats to all that put forth so our future is educated on what it takes to make LakeO a world class fishery. Excellent job by all, thank you!! PAP. -

I use the 47's also and I used the power pro as backer and I used the new 18# leadcore by suffix and I put a 8 color on, but this combo I'm pretty sure you could get a 10 color on, but I doubt that you will get a 10 color, because before I knew you needed a backer I could only get 9 colors of 27# on the reel. You need the 57 series to get 10 color with backer. I made up 3-5-7 colors up and I'll use snap weights on the 7 color to get deeper. Best of luck. Tight lines to all!!

Yea, I have a 15hp force and its a 1999, I thought Merc. Bought force because mine the carb went bad the shaft that controls the fuel-air mixture wore the hole in the top, they tried to put a bushing in but that failed also, to make a long story short I put a new carb on and it was merc. Carb.. I was told by our local marina who is the Merc. supplier for other dealers in NE. PA., but they were going to slowly fade out the Force units. I bought this motor at Sears for $275.00. It was a show model with scratches all over the hood.

I have been watching this show called "invaisive species of the Great Lakes" it is a very in detailed show. One of the concerns was the slimey gobie. They claim and had underwater cameras, it was a grew some sight. 1st was the amount of these little critters, they claim there is 1 gobie for every square yard of the entire floor of LakeO , they also showed a male small mouth trying to protect the nest of eggs. He tried so hard for days that the fish died from exhaustion, and the gobies ate the entire batch of eggs. The good news is that some of the species of fish are gorging themselves with the slippery little critters but the word little may not be the right term as there have been reports of 8/10" gobies being caught!! With the bass walleye and the entire trout species gorging themselves has made it more difficult for the angler. Most people use the excuse that the species they are targeting are gone, " the gobies cleaned them out" there has been some natural reproduction among the salmon due to the Kings gorging themselves with the gobies on the way into the rivers or during the spring months, long story short is the biologist know that their best gun for defense is the fish that swim in the waters of LakeO. Personally I'm 50/50 with who's winning the gobie, or their predators. They are working with a gobacide something like what they are using, the lamprecide. Just because the fish aren't biteing doesn't mean they aren't there.
