  1. Well done my friend, I was definitely surprised to see a cold weather type rain gear!! So something smelled fishy, but hey nothing surprises me anymore. People wear all kinds of clothes for certain health reasons. Two thumbs up on the release, congrats on the catch!!
  2. Man that is a slob, what's the record for Otisco Justin?
  3. Welcome aboard Artemas, are you staying on Keuka all year? LakeO has some good laker fishing. Either way there are lots of well seasoned fishermen and ladies, willing to help out with everything from fishing line, electronics to what size swivel you should use, feel free to ask anything (within reason) LOL

What these guys are saying about a kicker is the ABSOLUTE truth. My kicker saved my a$$ this spring. Left the Black River from the camp ran down to Chaumont bay trolled with kicker for 3 hrs bagged 1 nice eye, was going over to Galloo Island got about half way when the lower unit went bad, no forward no reverse, so dropped kicker back in the lake and at 3mph and 2 1/2-3hrs later we saw a man cutting his yard and he had a dock, he noticed we were broke down and motioned to us to come in to his dock. Long story short is he was the most generous man, he took us back to camp took our trailer with him and had my boat loaded and up to the blacktop waiting for us to get there, I drove like a nut to get back to his house,so to this day I don't know how he did all that in 15 minutes???? Like stated above don't leave the dock if your a big water troller. You just never know!!!!
  6. Thanks Larry I'll do that!! Keep those great reports coming, I look forward to reading them!! PAP.
  7. Amish outfitters, look him up via. the net. and explain what you have, boat length, motor size and he will tell you what size bags you'll need. Great man to deal with and quality stuff. I had 2 of the 20" bags for my 22ft with a 350 I/O and they got me to 1.5mph GPS speed and that was on the lake when it was flat, a little faster with 2ft rolling seas going down hill and little slower going up hill, up hill meaning against the waves and down hill meaning with the waves. That's our saying I didn't mean to be a smart A$$ LOL
  8. X2 also contact Prof. T he and Kevin have that river fishing mastered!!!
  9. I fished the western, the central, and on my bucket list is to fish the eastern basin of Erie, and with the different species makes it more interesting, next year I will be in better shape to do this, but ya you guys are really are blesses.
  10. Excellent report RD9. I remember my first charter out of Port Clinton he made us guys, we were the only guys on the boat 6 of us. Anyway he made us all tie a fluro of 10# test on a rods length. He said we were the best crew he had all year that was the 2nd week of June. We left the dock at 6:30am and we were back at the dock at 11:30 am with a 6 man ticket. He said the secrete was the light fluro leader. On days that are tough he drops to 8# test. Tight lines to all!!
  11. How about $10.00 shipping included, I don't really need them, but that's the best I can do!!!
  12. I tried that plastic polish for plastic windows supposed to remove that yellow color in my side curtains and it worked well. I tried it on spoons that had tape on it, it even made them shine, and removes light rust oxidation and dirt and doesn't leave a polished smell, I'm going out in the garage to get the name €€££¥¥~~ ok here's the name Meguiars PLASTX, I even used it on old Rebels and Rapalas lures that were faded or just cruddy, I was amazed how well it worked. A word of experience if doing your lures remove the hooks or you will be bleeding or your rag will be hung up in them. I found those 4"x6" kitchen sponges work the best, but not the ones with that green Brillo that leaves scratches on your lures. The first couple of times using the cleaned lures I used a cover scent. AKA smelly jelly. Hope this helps. PAP
  13. Absolutely, congrats on the dad award, a lot of times it seems like it's not going to be that easy, but you showed jr. who's the king!!! Awesome job!!!
  14. Thanks for sharing, you guys certainly live up to the old saying that {size does matter} all those pics are to be proud of. I remember you mentioned to come out your way and you'd show me laker land. I think I might take you up on that next year!!! Thanks again GAMBLER. Your friend (Mike) PAP.
  15. Man those are some whales!!! What pic is the 43"er. That defiantly on my bucket list, I have a walleye and a pike mounted and would like to get a laker mounted. That would complete my man cave, I've been saving a spot for it.
  16. Hey you were out there and giving it your all, that's what counts!!! There's always next time.
  17. I know exactly how you feel. 3 hrs into the walleye season same thing lower unit took a s::t, after 3 years of boat, motor, trailer, repairs and 3 back surgeries, I lost interest, but I do have a new lower unit. I'm starting to get the itch, something about the end of summer and the beginning of fall that motivates me. Good luck Bondouley, I wish you the best!!!
  18. I think what your saying is the head gasket is leaking, If possible see if the head bolt is not fully tightened, might be a head gasket going bad, which isn't that bad of a job if you a little mechanically inclined. I have no idea what a marina would would charge. Other than Hank, I don't know of any honest guys up there.
  19. WOW what a great story and what could be better then "fish and family" thanks for sharing your wonderful outings and pics. With us!! And a little reminder of the diary program. !!!
  20. Yea, nice job indeed!! Good to see your friend go home with some LakeO meat!! Congrats to your trips

Congrats to all of you!!! What a great day to be on NY. waters. Great pics also!
  22. Man I know I need glasses but how in the hell did I miss this thread!!! What's truely funny is we were just talking about you John, there was a walleye show on the fishing channel and they were in he Dakota's, I mentioned to my uncles I "know" a guy that fishes out there and they wouldn't believe me until I showed them your pics. Immediately they wanted to know how many hrs to that lake. I said many, you guys think western basin of Erie was far how about again as far. Congrats to your banner day John your friend PAP.
  23. The 30# pp is good, I usually go to 20-25# fluro leaders, like Landshark stated set your drag just that your line doesn't creep out on its own. I have had more luck with paddles and flies. For some reason I have more luck with matching the colors, for instance white paddle with white fly, or green on green. Again this is just what worked for us, definitely not a etched in stone theory. Many others have different theory's when it comes to staging salmon. J plugs in silver and fire tiger also. So good luck and tight lines to you!! PAP.
