  1. If your just going to make your own and not going to sell a lot of them the cost to have a mold machined out is a lot of money, you probably could buy a life time of weights before the mold paid for itself, unless you loose a few sets a year, I just purchased a set of 12# torpedos from TroutMan, lead is $10.00 a pound here at the scrap yards so it cost me $75.00 shipped to the house so $24.00 in lead and I think it was $15.00 in shipping and just say probably $3.00 in gas per set of weights so he made $30.00 plus had to do the work and package them up, takes a lot thirty dollar bills to pay for that mold. Unless you can pick one up used that would offset the price a lot. Good luck with whatever way you choose to go.

  8. I got our local bait and tackle shop to start carrying size 10-8 Spro swivels, they never heard of them before, Saturday I went down for a pack of swivels and they were all gone, I asked Carol "where are the Spro swivels" she said they are all gone I got more coming Tuesday. She said I couldn't believe all the guys that want those swivels, I said told you, the closest place is Cabela's and that's where there going and buying other things that you have here!! Your lures are a dollar cheaper than Cabelas already, but if there anything like me iI want a one stop shopping store, or tell me you can get with in a few days

  10. Mortigan thanks for the heads up. hell they went as far as intimate lady's wear. Maybe il buy my wife the white thong and as long as I'm, well better quit while I'm a head of this thought there are kids on this site!! LOL
  11. Lineman49 that's a good thought, maybe we could get shirts or hats made with the Proud to be a LOU member on them, that way when we are out and about if you see somebody wearing a shirt or hat at least we could introduce ourself to one an other, what do you think, could sell them for a little over cost and give the proceeds back to the site, just an idea?
  12. Hello Jim, I'm from Kresgeville even though my address is kunkletown, what marina are you talking about, Beltville marina, with Henry being the owner or M&H either way I know both of them. I will send you a pm as I have a lot of family from Lehighton welcome to the sight, this site is very addicting you can loose hours of your life being on here, but it's all good as the majority of the folks on board here!!! PAP.
  13. I put a set of hydraulic ones on last year, my 22ft Sea Ray leaned to the port side hard and the bow stood up so hard I couldn't see in front of me. I forget the name of them but they are adjustable, now she hops out on plane a lot faster and like said above the people don't need to stand on the starboard side to level her out, now you can stand, sit wherever you want and the ride is level from hole shot to pulling the kids on a huge water tube or just running to your hot spot. I have them adjusted to one hole before max pressure, and I noticed I can trim a lot higher which at 3000rpm I gained 2-3 more mph. I had this problem before I put the kicker on and since I have no problem. I will say out of all the things I added to this boat putting trim tabs on was the most noticeable thing I added. Good luck with your trim tabs you won't be disappointed. There are different sizes for the length of your boat, so be sure to get the right one for your boat.
  14. Glad to hear all the iron worked well, and the fish, well that's an added bonus!! Good luck to you and everyone else in the 2015 season.

  18. MooseKnuckle what's the bay look like? "Black River Bay" and you say the river is still froze??? UUGGG
  19. Thanks BS, we do rather well with the bass, mostly target the smallies, I feel they have a hard enough time trying to reproduce with the gobies being their enemy eating their eggs, while the male tries to protect the nest. I watched a show called Invaisive Species, and it showed how much the male and female bass goes through to try to protect their nest, that the male actually died from exhaustion trying to keep the gobies away, we certainly don't need to be pulling the hen off the nest during this time, they will wack at anything during this period. I agree with most NY laws but making catch and release during the spawn is not one of them.
  20. The last five years or so we noticed that our go to places weren't producing like they used to some of this due to water clarity and no weed lines and also we caught some slobs that spit up 2-3 gobies at a time. Two year ago we just happened to be at the right place at the right time and myself and Skip had the absolute best fishing ever, we caught one right after another for a hour then just like that someone shut the switch off we shook hands gathered our bearings and took noticed to the debris floating on the water soon the sea gulls were all around us picking up these floaters, so we motor around looking at this stuff that actually was dead minnows and a closer look the majority of them were gobies, and I mean lots of them. So the smallies are feasting on the gobies which is a wonderful thing, but it makes it that much tougher for the anglers. We still catch some fish fishing rubber wacky style but most productive for us is deeper drop shot style 30 plus feet.
  21. X2 "Best of luck with things you deserve it"!!
  22. Looking better everyday, hopefully by the end of this week all the ice will be gone, I go out of Hendersonharbor, when not going out of the Black River to fish the bay. Thank for the pic.
  23. I hope Fishy finds a better supplier we need these guys as they handle what works for the area unlike the big box store that carry the run of the mill. I really like going through the fishing shops around the lake just to see and buy the homemade so to speak items, such as spoons, flies ect. Stuff you don't even know existed if you never ventured into these shops. Good luck to all, and a prosperous 2015 year!!
  24. Cool thanks for sharing.
