Yea, they get funny when us guys want something for our enjoyment, but there's no bar set as to how many pairs of shoes they have or handbags to match the shoes, 100 plus bottles of nail polish and perfumes. I hope everything works out for ya, if not 2 depth finders are just as important as 1 wife anyway!!! At least when you turn off the Lowrance you won't hear or see anything till you turn it on again. LOL!!!!

Need a Mercruiser outdrive lower half
Xxx replied to Great Lakes Lure Maker's topic in This Old Boat
Man sorry to hear that Jason, just what you needed after busting your hump all winter, now you just want to enjoy yourself, now this pain in your side. Don't feel alone in this world I got the boat all ready and last Wednesday the motor in my expedition took a dump, I had a garage pull the motor for me now I'm in the process of rebuilding it. I looked at a crate engine from ford YIKES!!! The truck not worth the price of a new motor and a used one isn't the best option either because it's a common thing on the 5.4liter Triton to blow head gaskets, so I'd probably be in the same boat in due time, so for half the money I'll rebuild it myself and hope to make the walleye open date!! Hope the best for you as I'm well on my way just waiting on the heads, then assemble the old girl and deliver it to the garage to put it back in the truck!!! There went a lot of gas money from my boat funds!! LOL. -
For Sale : USA Honey Bee Lures

They look impressive Les, what's the problem it sounds like supplying this man with the product is the issue? If that's the case, that's a shame as they look like a good eye spoon. Oh well we have other guys on here that put their heart and sole into their products and we shall support them as they do us. Tight lines to all as the 2015 season has finally arrived!!!! PAP. -
I agree with all of the above, warm morning with a walleye chop, preferably a westerly breeze, like a Tuesday or Wednesday. LOL

Banging Bottom With Rigger Balls
Xxx replied to Consigliere's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
A really good thread about this not to long ago, there were some excellent ideas and thoughts on there, the one idea that I took a liking to was to make a rigger ball like a bottom bouncer, buy inserting a 2-3ft piece of 3/8 all thread into the bottom of a rigger ball, and let the rod stir along the bottom keeping the ball up and your rig above the bottom. -
Yea buddy, starting to get there, I saw on the weather that this weeks storms will bring rain to the south but it looked like from Water Town north it could give significant snow? What's the weather man saying it's going to do up north, or better said what's the forecast from Oswego to Water town area, I hope not what they were predicting on our local weather.

After you're sure it's in neutral and it still doesn't turn over, take a test light and make sure you have power at the start position on the back of the switch, you will need to turn the key to the start position, if you have power there then turn the switch to the start position and see if you have power to the little post on the start solenoid, if no power there then the problem lies between the switch and the solenoid, broke wire ect. If you have power at the little terminal on the solenoid you need a way to measure the voltage at the terminal it needs to be a full 12 volts to pull the solenoid in to close the contacts. If you have 12.3 volts at the large terminal of the solenoid then the start terminal should have at least 12 volts no less. A lot of the times just cleaning all the terminal does the trick before you go pulling everything apart. Also your solenoid needs to be grounded, make sure you have a good ground to the solenoid also. If after you did all of this and you still need to jump the sol. It just could be the sol. Quit if it did count the terminals 99% of the time it will be a 4 terminal and if it looks like the older automotive type go to a Napa store as they handle marine stuff and get a new sol. there instead of paying dealer price. If you need anymore help pm me and I will try to help you if all of the above doesn't do the trick. Good luck PAP.

Said perfectly, for some reason I have the patience of a saint with children who are willing to give fishing a try, I can deal with the worst birds nest and try to show them the ropes and deal with the old.saying "Dad I can do it" and it turns out to be a disaster LOL. But when us "MEN" go and things go wrong it's a different story, I don't act like an a$$ but I do get annoyed under my hat, Why is this?

Easter Sunday on the Yankee
Xxx replied to Yankee Troller's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Awsome Easter Basket Rick!! Looking forward to some of the most detailed post going, can't wait for the Eastern Basin to get soft so us guys can get at it. Congrats to you and dad on a great outing! PAP. -

Well stated JT. I just talked today about the Otisco eyes to my uncle, I said they even look different because they are so fat!! They look like a toad as Mark Romanack would say. I hope the best for Otisco and the guys that fish it. I think things will get better as the lake gains popularity, and if anyone can make that stand I know JT. will do whatever it takes, I can promise you that much!!!
-
I would think that the DEC has to keep Oneida stocks up just due to its popularity of a well established walleye lake, and Otisco just doesn't have the walleye popularity yet. But with the more guys turning in the fishing diaries maybe this will shed some light on Otisco and they will grant the lake a yearly stocking!!

Excellent job guys, nice fish. Good to see most of the snow is gone along the streams, but the stream doesn't appear to be high from the run off. I hope that's not going to be a problem for later, I would think with all the snow you guys had the streams would be really flowing? and some reports of launches being low.
