Coundnt have said it any better EsoxAC3!!! The only thing that would have changed is if it would have been a 22fter. Than it would’ve been in my driveway!!! to the seller and the buyer great job!!
  2. I’m not sure about this time of the year as I never targeted Lakers I’m usually hunting walleyes but come the Month of June on, lakers can be found in what is called the trench, from Henderson to Stoney

What for 4cyl motor does it have and how many hrs on motor. What for weight does the kicker bracket handle??
  6. Yes indeed congrats to your banner day. There are those far and few between times when it seems if have the spoons or what ever at the right depth they’ll hit anything!! Had one of those days at the green can off the tip of Galloo Isl. with the smallies just a absolute slug fest, lasted about an hour but if we didn’t catch and release 100 fish between the 2 of us. It was game on. To this very day I’ve never had a repeat of that very same day!!
  7. I know my uncle gets sea sick the minute he can’t see land, otherwise no problems. I think that this is a psychological dilemma.
  8. Being in the culinary field before I started up my own business a starter & alternator rebuild business, that has nothing not even close to what I schooled for. I started to use a pressure cooker and really like the outcome of lesser quality meats that I can make meat fall of the bone, and makes stock at the same time!! I’ve used the pressure cooker on the legs of the birds my brother in law harvested and made turkey noodle soup that the kids and everyone was ranting and raving about this soup. You can do the same like Kevin explained above, but I’m done long before his stove top ways aren’t even close to being done. I love my pressure cookers and would be lost with out one. Your idea of doing this with the leg meats jogged my memory and reminded me of the turkey carcass soups my kids said!! I made. Your right Kevin there’s lots of meat on those leg/thighs. Most people don’t want to deal with those thin splinter type bones. Great thread/post!! Now you can fish for OL’ Marble eyes!!
  9. How many hrs. on the motor?? What is top speed with that boat??
  10. Beautiful looking laker, your better half looks to be happy with her catch!! Where in the world did you find a bluebird sky day to go fishing
  11. I talked with John when he was at his home 20, and he hooked me up with lakes and lodges to stay in!! They don’t target eyes out there, I’m pretty sure that’s what he told me. It’s a grind to trailer out there with a LakeO boat. But I have a 18fter that tows like it’s not back there. Would like to experience this in my life time.
  12. Cool beans!! Glad to see you made it out!! A fish is a fish!! The size is in the eye of the beholder!!
  13. I used to like there grab bag deals on lures, they really had some good deals on high end lures, but I can’t use a fish pole during deer season. So no more $$ from this family who spent quite a bit with 2 daughters playing softball and field hockey!!
  14. Now that’s what I call “Fine Dining” you can’t put a price tag on such things!! Other than those who never tried it, don’t know what their missing!!!
  15. WOW 4 generations of walleye fisherman under the same roof!! Lots of intel. working together!! Congrats to your outing!!
  16. Wow, thanks for the information.
  17. Are those the big butter beans?? I haven’t had those since my dad passed. Ten years ago mmm good!! Great post Kevin!!
  18. Nice!!! Great to see some silver!! That’s takes a lot for a marble eye fisherman to say. gotta give credit where credit is due my Friend!!
  19. Holy Shyt man that thing is ridiculously huge!!! That has got to be a record Brown, at first glimpse I thought King!! and it’s a King alright, KING Size Brown. WOW I had know idea they got that Freaken Huge!! Would love to hear the story from hook up to net to the bottom of the boat!! Congrats to the lucky dog that’s holding that FBABrown
  20. I just bought a set in the 5300 series, what are you looking to replace them with?? It’s a shame your so far away I’d take them off your hands but quick. I have other type riggers maybe your interested in cannon mag 20’s I have Big Jon’s. Maybe your looking to just get rid of them.
  21. I saw things changing at our local Dicks, in the ammo Dept. common cal. Weren’t being replaced?? 22/250 natta 223 in in every day rounds, yes the weird stuff. No 22/250 rounds but 257 Roberts didn’t make sense to me at the time?? But now, OOH YEA!!! hate to say but no more Dicks for me!! WOW that doesn’t sound right, “yes my wife is a lady” to be politically correct.
  22. I have a 3.0 4cyl in my 18’er for around home, and I troll a lot also, at 900rpms I had same issues and also went to electronic ignition made it a bit better but not cost effective at all. I was to the same ordeal about the motors not being designed to run at low rpm’s so I had two trolling bags from my 22fter before I went to a kicker. I hung those on now I’m at 1100-1250rpm’s oil pressure is up and haven’t had an issue since. Burns a little more fuel but not enough to complain about!! Just food for thought....
  23. Your in good hands now!! Best of luck!!
  24. Get yourself a infrared heat gun. When the gauge shows the temps shoot your exhaust manifolds, and the heads, these numbers should be with in reason, this will detect which side has a issue or there is no issues other than a faulty sending unit or gauge or hopefully a wire issue. Before getting into the bigger things.
  25. Yup my favorite way is fillet and release
